RDR1 Online content you don’t want

Honestly, I don't want anything from GTAO to carry over to RDO expect coop jobs, not going to happed obviously but that is just how I feel. I couldn't care less for PvP and all I want from RDO is to have fun with my friends. No free roam murder fest, no long-ass loadings between jobs, no op vehicles, no constant disconnecting from lobbies, no overpriced gear with better stats, no markers for players on map, etc...

GTAO was pretty fun from the beginning, but the more you play, more BS you uncover and I don't want to be the same with RDO.

I guess we'll see...

1) Passive mode....terrible idea if players want to he left alone turn the blips off and let friends meet up on their own.

1a) Servers for dedicate matchs like dms to reduce lag and make the game fair, I am not opposed to P2P freeroam as I think it works fine, but more competitive modes need stronger connections.

2)Matchmaking, there needs to be a hosting now screen with player counts in the lobby and timer to see if the host is afk or setting lame settings.

3) user created jobs, R* need a committee and many verified players to choose the best jobs, so the 1000000000rp crap ones are buried and discouraged.

4) more heists not dependent on other players completing, my only complaint about heists, if a noob dies, then he gets some rp and misses out on whatever R* bases the economy on.  Git Gud noobs...lol, the person who completes should be allowed to share a reduced % if he wants.

Jerking For Soup

- The Parent/Family Character Creation system, for obvious reason.

- No update spam with no worthy content. I'd rather have 1 update per year with detailed content that makes sense in the game, blends with the tone and vanilla game itself than have 12 updates with stupid content that doesn't fit the game. Like hoverbikes, for example.

- Freemode events. OMFG what's the point? There's either 1 person participating or none. It's annoying af.

- No shark cards pls.

PvP-wise:

  • I don't want to see buying ammo from any kind of interaction menu on the spot. That is complete BS, goes against fundamental basic stuff when it comes to gaming, and devolved GTA's ground combat into nothing but RPG spam and people blowing themselves up with infinite sticky bombs. I'll be pretty disappointed if I see this back.

  • Wiggle sniping. Just keep people still while they snipe. No one runs around while carefully looking down a scope. At the very least, movement should be restricted to walking while aiming a sniper.

Those are really my bigger concerns. There's passive mode and Easy Way Out, but I think enough of a deal has been made about those that they're not going to be a problem in this game. Aside from all that, I just want it to run quite smoothly, to not be stuck looking at clouds and getting unknown network errors.

Something that gives a higher ranking player an advantage over someone who’s a lower rank during any combat.

Free Aim Assisted targetting mode. Nobody asked for it, it made no goddamn sense and it put people who wanted an actual free aim experience at a disadvantage in GTAO.

No matter what Rockstar does, it will be the player base that dictates how good online is.

The majority of the complaints about GTA: Online come down to other players being dicks.
I play online in solo public lobbies and I love almost all the content additions because there are not other players to mess it up for me.

RDR2 will be the same way (just like any other game). If the player base is toxic, the online will suffer. And because of this I actually hope we have Peer to Peer servers like GTA: Online. That way no matter how crappy the community is, I can still enjoy the game.

Well, looking at the trophies for online, we can already see they are bringing in the encouragement for other players to mess with you based on the trophy for ruining a rival posse's free roam mission. Also, from the companion app we know there will be a wagon with a gatling gun, so weaponized vehicles are likely to make a return...

1. Such a long and often loading times. That's one of aspects I really hate in GTAO, everytime I want to cancel some selection (like job participating or so) done before, just to come back on the map, I need to wait the whole process again. I hope, we can expect much better loading system in RDR2 online.

2. Balancing - whether we're talking about vehicles or guns. Their price should be adequate for what can they do. I could mention tons of items they are not worth their price, cuz they are better then their price shows or vice versa. I hope R* learnt sth about money balancing from GTAO and will prevent doing this again.

3. The ways how to interact with other players - I don't like a fact, that probably a most of interactions between other players are based on stealing their products, killing them etc. I want more fighting WITH them, not against.

4. Make mission / job / heist launching more spontaneous, more natural. Let's talk about bank robberies - in GTAO we have Pacific standard or whatever is it called like, every time performing in the same bank. The same interior, people in the bank, escaping streets. Each bank in RDR2 has its own location, with different surrounding. That makes a great opportunity to create unique gameplay for each of them. Also, as I mentioned, the system of launching heists. I know that a loading screen with a list of joined / joining / invited players its quiet a simple and clear way, but definitely not a natural one. I don't know how much possible could be this, but I can imagine spontaneous meeting of 3-4 cowboys in front of bank and then, without any loading, without any "Pacific standard heist" screen stepping inside and launching a bank robbery. With own rules, with own gameplay. That's that way how do I imagine a real robbery in such an amazing game.

Bad server optimisation. Was so bad at the start that gave up on it & never touched it again.

I just assumed all peer to peer connections were like that. Is that not the case?

There already are wagons with gattling guns, they're in a few missions and in an ambush with the Riders

Anyways;

Unrealistic prices for clothes. Keep them the same price as SP, horses too.

Horses and weapons being Online exclusive. No, just no.... let us buy them in SP too. If Online gets the Undead Nightmare horses then by all means they can stay exclusive... but every day horses SHOULD be in SP!

Tryhards. Combat rolling is gone, I'd love to see them try to avoid dynamite. I'll toss it if they try to dodge bullets by face planting the ground! It's a big ass map too, trains would likely travel real time like taxis in GTA Online so nobody's going to end up from New Austin to Annesburgh in 5 minutes.

Blips. Make it like SP, you don't see enemies unless they make noise. No "____ is doing ____" either.

Squeakers.

In game IM. I'm sure that's what the post office is for.... hope you have to pay to send people mail, I don't want spammed. "Gib money pls"

Online being unlocked straight away. Make them complete chapter 2 at bare minimum. That way you're playing with COMPETENT players and not people who ignore SP

Stuff I don't want:

-paywalls

-focus on PVP

-stuff from Online not being added to singleplayer

-Online eventually turning into ridiculous unrealistic crap (I don't want stuff like guns that haven't been made until 30 years after the game is set, full auto revolvers and homing repeater rifles, a unicorn and pegasus instead of normal horses)

I don’t want to see zombie characters or zombie horses running around in RDR2 Online. That stuff broke immersion in RDR1 Online.

I don’t want to see ridiculous mounts again like zebras, bulls, bison, etc.

i don’t want to see explosive rifles in RDR2 Online.

I don’t want to see high powered pistols with high fire rates.

Battle Royale mode. what is this overhyped fortnite.pubg BS making its way into every god damn game. we're in a seriously high "FAD" era. like Crystal Pepsi and Dancing Sunflowers, this is already old.

i would love to have a zombie dlc, but not childish and more like real, like the plague strike the town and sick people became angry and unconsioucness like in tlou and we have to survive this, i would love to live the tlou left behind feelings again in this game and with these graphics and mechanics its gonna be great i guess..

I don't want to see any characters from the singleplayer, besides minor ones like lawman or shop owners.

player are not shown in the radar.

I don't want the game to treat the players as a dumb people showing them what to do all the time, and let the players explore and figure out what to do like in uncharted games or something..

to not turn the sessions into a warzone, and make the whole experience emotional and warm with co op and helping the other players as everyone is escaping the law.. exept adversary modes of course.

yeah and let the online be peaceful and calm, warm  and emotional ..

Imagine how cool it would feel if playing with friends, describing an area to meet up instead of having your friends just look at the map. That alone would really help immersion.

Limited ammo

No blips on the radar unless something happens

No instant travel

No BS

Basically I want the exact opposite of GTAO

I'd say no tryhards, but that's impossible, so we'll have to make sure their presence is minimal.

  • No combat rolls
  • No suicides
  • No armor

As for avoiding the PvP mess GTA Online has turned into, I have two options in mind.

  1. If you kill someone not on your friend/crew list, that's a bounty, just like in the main game. You can either pay the bounty or go to jail, where you will literally have to wait until your sentence is up, no quick cutscene, no logging out and back in.
  2. There's an option for who can kill you. This would replace passive mode. You can set it to friends/crew only, everyone, or select certain players from the session.

IDLE TIMED OUT - I hate being kicked from a session for going to take a p***. This will be a slower paced game too, so I hope we don’t get booted from the session for trying to immerse ourselves in this slower paced game.

Who thought that this was a good idea???? Like do you even balance correctly R*? Take it out or have a separate session thays free aim ONLY.

Also i dont want to see physic law enforcement at all..if we rob a train in the  middle of nowhere then there should be no wanted level and that goes for anything else too..

And im glad combat roll is out so no more evading bullets easily lolz
