Customise Guns You Find - Mild Spoiler

Are you able to customise guns you find? 

 

For example there's a mission "Nobel men and a woman" I think is the name and you get a couple of guns during this mission. 

 

However, I can't seem to customise them when I'm at the gunsmith.

Nah those weapons aren't customisable.

So far, it appears that way, yes.

Unless it's a normal purchasable weapon.

Also, you get several fancy guns out of the Jim Boy Calloway quest line, but you can't clean them, or access them for that matter, at the gunsmith. You'll have to spend a unit of gun oil on that yourself.

I need to look at the stats on those guns and see if they're worth using, I have only been using my nickel plated double action pistols, haven't even thought about using anything else.

They're... there. 

I haven't really found a gun that ticks all my boxes. All the guns that look cool and wild westy are usually less effective, but I refuse to Mauser my way across the plains.
