It would be much more interesting to just antagonize him like the monk on the mountain. I'm sure he would still talk if you did too. Especially if you are low honor. As for the other, he's not sure what plans he has for John. He even says the words I Know You during this conversation. The two people he is referring to are... Edgar Ross. The government man who set John on the path of hunting down his old gang, and also kills John at the end of RedDead Redemption. Throughout the story of RedDead Redemption he repeatedly refers to John and anyone like him as "scum" and "filth". His ominous appearance, stoic voice, cold yet calm demeanor. - "Why would you remember me? You've forgotten far more important people..." John has continuely stared death in the face many times and survived without realizing it. - "I hope my son turns out like you." The anti-Christ- blah, blah, blah. -"Funniest thing, I can't remember." The devil has many names; Satan Lucifer The Devil Beezelbub Etc. Because of that, he pays with his future, aka he gets killed because killing Micah is how Ross found him and then the story of RDR1 played out. The most famous version of the hermit tarot card, is an old man with a long beard wearing a hood and using a staff to help him walk. These are all similarities that blind man Cassidy has. Another similarity is what the hermit is supposed to represent, the hermit is supposed to represent ascension, illumination, and introspection. These are all reflected in the fortunes the blind man gives out. Illuminating Arthur or John's paths by telling them what the future holds, discussing how they need to change themselves through introspection, and also talks about their inevitable ascension to being a good person.
