Switching Arthur's player model to John's (basically Arthur in John's body) fixes the clothing issues when officially playing as John. For example, His gunslinger outfits are fixed and feature the open shirt with John's body type and aren't glitched with no spurs like they are now. And yes he can swim.

Could you tell me how to do this in the save editor?

You need to extract a saved outfit from the Epilogue. I used the farrier for example and replace your current saved outfit with it. Make sure you save an outfit beforehand as Arthur so you won't be stuck as Arthur Marston lol.  Also make sure not to shave since whoever you shave as, you'll be stuck as.

As I go to view my pictures in-game, I find all of my pictures are now displaying a broken image, and when I exit out I'm told "Load Failed. The save game appears to be corrupt."

I am reluctant to quit the game at the moment!

Fishing is totally rubbish in this game, spamming on the right analog stick like a lunatic trying to reel in that 19lbs monster. Pointless, I did manage to finally catch it, but I’m left with an aching hand... lol.

Upon reloading I found my camera roll had been wiped, however all pictures uploaded to the Social Club remain there, so now I get 95 new pictures I guess

EDIT: And now they all came back

They are like four different locations each one has five eggs.

Yeah I’ve been to them all and none of them have eggs. I can see the little brown mounds where the eggs should be but there isn’t any. I found one with 3 eggs in so I took them but the rest are empty.

That sucks, maybe it's a glitch

Worst thing about this game once you %100 it there is nothing left to do the world feels lifeless and empty because random events never happen again its a dissapointment because they were infinite in the first rdr

The fact that the Grizzlies Outlaw outfit was broken at launch and STILL IS. Only Online characters (surprise surprise) and John get the complete outfit DESPITE Arthur wearing it in the pre release screenshots https://twitter.com/Darealbandicoot/status/1088613006135775232?s=19

There’s no need for butchers and trapper fences to be separate. They should’ve been combined at each location. As it is, there are animals you have to ride halfway across the map to hunt, then run back with the pelt because they made it way too hard to find a place to drop it off for crafting outfits.

I have random events as John, long after the final credits. They just are not showing on my mini map most of the time.

Granted, not as saturated with random events as during story, but they are there. I'm not feeling the 'lifeless and empty' part at all, but yea, we could do with alot more action and activities as John.

The pacing of the story is kinda bad. There are so many missions that honestly just feel like filler.

Guess I feel like bitching a bit, but on my second playthrough I simply cannot stand when a gang member gets killed during a mission and I have to restart the checkpoint. This happened non stop when I was springing Micah early on trying to keep a low bounty and hogtieing every cop lol. He kept fricking dying. Recently I was clearing out Murfees' Cave and right at the end Charles got killed and I had to restart all the way at the beginning at the mouth of the cave. Infuriating, why must I babysit these guys? Aren't they all hardened cowboys who should hold their own? Charles has a shotgun but somehow got axed to death, lol.

I've been playing this beautiful game quite a bit in the last few weeks, and as much fun I am having, there's a few main complaints I have that really hurt it for me. First off, mission scope. While a number of people watched NakeyJakey's fantastic video and agreed with his opinion, and more yet thought on their own, on the mission structure limiting the player freedom, and I do agree, it doesn't bother me that much. It's something I've gotten used to with Rockstar's GTA franchise. San Andreas was the same, with alternate mission choices being few and far between. But at least in that series the gameplay makes sense within the missions, where you're encouraged to drive and behave like a maniac. Nothing and no one stops you from careening through red lights, smashing into other motorists and continuing on. But RDR2 is more similar to LA Noire or Mafia II in freeroam. You're encouraged to take it slowly, following laws in town while chatting to and with NPCs. And in certain parts of the game, especially stranger missions, it feels very much like them, being incredibly story driven. Picking up photographs and context clues in empty houses, simple cutscenes where you meet new characters, or following people and quietly beating information out of them in secret. Stealth sections felt much improved from previous titles, as well. Peeking around corners, keeping to enemies peripheral vision and acting normal to escape felt almost hitman esque at times. This all felt very realistically slow and heavy, keeping in line with the hard head brawler that Arthur is shown to be.

But yet more often the missions feel entirely too much like GTA, and entirely too unrealistic for the rest of it. Instead of leading a small group of bounty hunters into the deep woods to dispatch in a quick and violent exchange of gunfire, you're instead screaming along city streets and killing dozens upon dozens of officers, crashing through carriages and destroying buildings. Or joining an old gunslinger in defending her swamp shack using your single action, low cartridge count weapons to take on a small army of tens of bounty hunters armed with a gatling gun coming in multiple waves to take her in. These missions are exciting, yes. But they hurt the feeling of realism the rest of the game tries so desperately hard to keep up. The missions pull it back to the spaghetti western influences of Revolver instead of the real world it wants to be.

The map and the rate at which time passes also hinder the realism approach. The time is obviously much faster than real life so as to imply distance traveled to be much greater. Riding your horse from Valentine to Saint Denis only takes around 20 minutes, but it's a 10 hour journey in game. It's something Rockstar does in GTA as well, and while it works there, it doesn't work as well for RDR2, I feel. As it ends up meaning that walking a single city block in Saint Denis takes at least a full hour of in game time. They should have slowed time down immensely, and made the map scale larger. Instead of Saint Denis being only a few blocks of streets, as it is currently, it could have been actually city sized. Blocks upon blocks of nondescript businesses and suburban housing like those you commute past in LA Noire, instead you have a few tight blocks of condensed down city. Saint Denis doesn't feel much larger than Valentine to go through, which limits the feeling of the sprawling metropolis you're supposed to traverse and despise.

And finally, the much despised police system. The same one they've been using since GTA III, it feels. Cops spawning ahead of you, knowing exactly where you've gone when they have no right to. And of course, how trigger happy they are. The worst offender for this was when doing a stranger mission in Saint Denis, a woman of ill repute becomes frightened by Arthur's presence and yells for the police to help. I thought at first maybe there's a way to explain this, but no they arrest you and thats mission failed. If you do leave the area, as you're supposed to, they know your identity immediately, even though the first officer would not be able to get a good view on your face. But the pushing point was when the words scrolling by in bright scarlet at the top of the screen read out to me "Arthur Morgan wanted Dead or Alive for Disturbing the Peace." Cops attempted to shoot me in the back for simply giving a prostitute a scare. That could make sense in Annesburg, where the threat of a miners rebellion has the law on edge, but in the big city of Saint Denis that simply doesn't make sense that the officers would open fire on man that has not been proven to be guilty of a single thing. Disturbing the peace should get the officers to chat with you, get a side of the story or perhaps just issue a ticket. And while there's an argument to be made for Arthur being a dangerous criminal wanted in multiple states, your average Saint Denis officer is unlikely to know such a thing, or recognize your face. And this is before the era of IDs, when asked Arthur would likely give a fake name as he does throughout most of the game.

It just feels like Rockstar got halfway done making a realistic, slower paced story driven game and wrapped it up with the Hollywood inspired gameplay of GTA. And it bothers me a lot.

To be fair, this is a recurring issue across almost all of Rockstar's games. They all have escort missions, and then most mission failures come from your teammates or people you're supposed to protect acting like doofuses and getting themselves killed.

Nothing in RDR2 is as bad as Phil Bell in Catch a Wave (GTA IV), where just about the only way to complete the mission was to leave the enemy nearest you until the end - because otherwise Phil would kamikaze his way through the warehouse to instant death. And then you'd have to drive across two thirds of the map again.

One thing I don't like is that I can't discuss the plot details about the game with my friends without spoiling the ending. I can't even show my friend my endgame file when he comes over because the obvious "Where's Arthur, how are you playing as John?" questions will come up.

Heck my friend was talking about Arthur's gravelly voice and it was all I could do to be like,  "It's all part of the story, you find out why his voice is gravelly later on"

Really? Unless your friend has been living under a rock, it’s almost impossible now not to know what happens to Arthur!

I do not understand why they didn't put a usable ferry between Saint-Denis and Blackwater as a fast travel option. There's literally no other links between the old and new map unless you take a stagecoach. I was definitely expecting that feature, it seemed like a no brainer.

Also, telling an unarmed witness to stop while firing warning shots STILL makes them not want to stop and still want to tattle on you for standing next to them even if it means their own death? Also DISTURBING THE PEACE is bullsh*t. If someone is shooting at me with an intention to kill, why am I punished for disarming and knocking them out?

Completely agree. My favorite though is when you're in the middle of nowhere, rob / kill an NPC, and a small city's worth of people pick that moment to ride on by, osee the dead guy next to you, and immediately know exactly what happened and identify you through your mask and new clothes.
