full_r3trd Posted November 2, 2018 Share Posted November 2, 2018 I can’t seem to do this, during a robbery I’m trying to be nice so I only shoot the men but there is a woman there and I’m trying to just melee her, I can hit her only if she hits me first, circle does nothing which is the punch button and right trigger just shoots them even though I’m point blank in melee range and even touching them. I'm dying lol You can aim at people with a weapon and tap Y/triangle to grab them by the neck, see what option do you have then..I read that and did not try yet. It’s when I’m holding a gun though, I don’t think you have that option because left trigger is aiming the gun, in older gta game if you are close to someone it should melee instead of shoot when you pull the trigger This back room doctors office is ridiculous you can’t even go out the back door wtf Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jedster Posted November 2, 2018 Share Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) You can melee ppl with gun in hand, it's same as normal melee combat, you have to be close (obviously) and press O/B to beat them up... if you run and tackle them with gun in hands, you have option to execute with R2/RT. It's really effective, especially with shotguns. :P Edit: maybe it's that we cannot beat women? don't know, never tried it... Well I tried this mission like 20 times lol trying to figure it out and I’m convinced it is a bug and needs updating, I’m wearing a mask and being identified by dead bodies it seems the melee with gun is right trigger and not O/B and the conditions to make it happen are very unreliable, most of the time you shoot point blank Edited November 2, 2018 by full_r3trd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Zourin Posted November 2, 2018 Share Posted November 2, 2018 If you had no weapon equipped, tapping L1 will also draw your main revolve tapping L1 will 'quick holster' a drawn rifle, probably allowing you to do a melee strike. Tapping L1 again will allow you to draw your main revolver, regardless of what firearm you just eased off of. r Holding L1 so that the menu comes up and releasing it will re-select whatever weapon you 'quick holstered' so you can fire it again. Running at someone and pushing Triangle will put you in a flying tackle which you can then push right trigger to do a firearm execution while on the ground. You can also immediately hogtie everyone by walking up to them and pushing Circle while you have the lasso drawn. This is a more friendly way to rob victims and witnesses. As someone said, if you melee with a shotgun, instead of bashing them on the head you push them back and then blast them. I think it’s just their new way of doing it maybe? I think it’s just their new way of doing it maybe? yeah i think that is what happened alot but one time i actually walked up to the woman with shotgun, i pressed right trigger and he hit her with the gun and knocked her out, it went perfect but it was not a reliable outcome, most of the time i shot her... in the west back then, you were looked at as scum if you killed women, even in the mafia today, they dont like people who kill women so im kinda playing how things were IRL... i think devs should automatically melee women and do nothing else if you are in melee range, make another button combination for executions so if you want to be a scumbag you could still be one lol.
