Special/Ultimate edition confusion.

Hey guys,

 

I have purchased/pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 special edition and currently have 40% completion in story mode.

 

I am curious now, what exactly did I gain from the Special Edition? As far as I am aware, in terms of weapons I got the Volcanic Pistol and Pump action and maybe another weapon that has slipped my mind (that's irrelevant to my point though) however these weapons don't seem to be exclusive to special editions of the game, they are just free to purchase in game. I know people with the standard edition of the game who these weapons are available to.

 

Did I really spend another £20 just to save me buying it in game?? I have an abundance of in game cash and have done from the offset, so this seems really bizarre! Almost extortionate if that is the case!

 

Are the horses exclusive to special edition or are they also available for purchase?

 

I am yet to encounter the del Lobo's gang hideout (or find any good information on what that content may entail) or the bank robbery mission. 

 

So, what exactly is exclusive about the special edition? 

 

The game so far has been bittersweet for me, on one hand it is utterly amazing and on other aspects it is severely lacking.
