singemfrc Posted November 1, 2018 Share Posted November 1, 2018 (edited) Anyone else just not willing to play the game without the companion app map on at the same time? LOVE THIS THING! Since it live updates, I mirror my phone to the TV on the wall behind the monitor I'm playing RDR2 on and leave the map up maximized so I constantly have a live map up in the background as I'm playing. Super convenient to be able to place and remove waypoints on it too without having to pause and go to the in game map. Also very handy that it displays in game prompts and essentially acts as a gigantic radar during missions and activities showing all characters and enemies on your radar, even ones outside the scope of your corner radar. Best tool ever! Would love to have this for GTAV! Only gripe is it can be a pain to get connected to the game. It didnt seem to be good enough to just be on the same network in general, with my phone on 5Ghz Wifi and my PS4 on Ethernet they wouldn't see each other. I had to connect the phone to 2Ghz wifi (since my old ps4 doesnt have 5ghz) and change the ps4 from ethernet to wireless, and even then for some reason I have to disconnect my phone from wifi and reconnect it while the rdr2 app is still open before they will see each other.
