Guest Guest176525326
Currently I’m playing it on a base PS4 slim and places like Valentine and St Denis are really bad when it comes to frame rate, I’m really sensitive to things like this and I just want a smooth experience, because the game is a masterpiece! I am not even that bothered about the 4K, I just want a solid/ locked 1080p at 30fps and judging by the YouTube videos the PRO handles it very well... So my question is, is anyone playing it on a Pro while using the 1080p setting? Any help much appreciated

Excellent video, PS4 Pro at 1080p with 30fps is the best experience imo, as it’s pretty much locked to 30 all the way. So the Pro is definitely worth buying. Thx will be buying it ASAP. DentureDynamite
I would say it is--I caved in and bought a PS4 Slim for it. I need a break from GTA Online, and while it's a bit frustrating traveling to places slowly, I do like the overall slower pace... and the level of detail is amazing. That said, leave it to Rockstar to let us season our meat with herbs, but you can't swim underwater. Go figure. Reminds me of BF3 in that regard... According to this video the only console to offer 1080p at a locked 30fps is the PRO, as the One X doesn’t have the option, it’s native 4K is the best looking however even that suffers frame drops: 4:09 The Pro is the way to go

NO. if you didn't had any platform i would say yes... but not when you already have a normal Ps4. if you are going to buy a new platform buy a 500$ PC that has better performance then the Pro/ Xbox X INB4 im a biased PC elitist...... i have a PS4, the Xbox and PC's edit: i would say the same if it was worth upgrading from a gtx1070 to a 1070Ti... Is it better? Yes. Is it worth ? NO Edited November 2, 2018 by HaRdSTyLe_83
lol232
You'd be better off getting XBOX ONE X. This is coming from someone with a PS4 Pro. The frame drops are very rare and are mostly in cutscenes. Especially if you're getting the game for 2160p. Mach1bud
I'm playing on a Pro on 1080p TV. Haven't noticed any frame drops at all. xXManATeeXx 1 Twitter - Instagram - Youtube - Social Club

RyuNova
May I interject? I have it running on the Xbox One X with the Enhanced patch and I have no seen a single bit of stuttering or slowdown. Its all been buttery smooth for me. I know my experience is not akin to everyone's but thats what I have seen.
Fatsanchez
Well I’m a PS player, but I saw some videos and from what I gathered, the XB1X is the best top-end console to play. It renders the game in real 4k (opposed to the ~3k with reconstruction techniques on PS4 Pro) with barely any performance issues. Considering the low-end consoles, the PS4 is the way to go (on XB1 the game renders at only 900p and the performance isnt all that better). Also as some stated, the PS4 Pro can run the game on 1080 without the frame drops seen on the regular PS4 (where I’m playing btw) and also with better image quality. Hope this helps. Guest Guest176525326
Update: WOW, this game in 4K is truly amazing, I didn't think it would make such a difference, but it has. This is my first game ever played in 4K and just WOW. I'm currently running through the game, already on Chapter 2, got to Valentine and the game is buttery smooth, the only frame drop/s I have seen were in the cutscene when fighting Tommy, but that's about it. STUNNING! I am so glad I went for this rather than the PRO, sure I lost all the game progress, but it has been worth it. If anyones is interested, I got it from Argos for £409.99, they have a deal at the moment, it comes with both Forza 7 ad Forza Horizon 4 (digital) plus you can add a game of your choice(RDR2 is in that option). It's a bargain really. Sold my PS4's RDR2 for £40 at my local CEX as well
The N. Bellic Man
Wise choice. I mean the X version is probably the best. I have to say that I'm a bit surprised how well optimized it is. I haven't encounter any noticeable stuttering or any technical problems at all. It really looks great.
Guest Guest176525326
The level of detail in 4K is miles ahead of that the base version of PS4. Its like day and night, the YouTube comparisons don’t do it justice!!!
