Any logical reason why a gun would vanish from my weapon wheel?

I had a double action revolver that I had spent money on, pimped out all nice just how I wanted it. It vanished after chapter 2 came to a conclusion. Can't find it anywhere. I do however still have all the guns I literally never use. Any ideas?

Maybe you had a fist fight where you pulled out the gun and got disarmed? It shouldn't disappear from your inventory which is quite weird.

I also had a Lancaster I was quite fond of and which disappeared, I was pretty pissed but thankfully I got a bunch of cash from the next mission, so I could buy another one.

I don't know about him but I personally didn't. Probably a bug.

If there's a way to reproduce it, it'd be cool, there's too many guns I have that I want to ditch.

I had the same thing happen too, the same weapon. My DAR disappeared not long after I acquired it. Fortunately I don't really use it anyway.

you know what, i had the same thing happen to me. The Lancaster rifle disappeared from my inventory and i had to buy a new one as well. Hasn't happened to any of my other weapons though

I had the new one engraved a bit, hope it's not going away this time.

My pump action shotgun disappeared as well. Went to the gunsmith and was able to rebuy it for $0.00. I did have to pay for the upgrades again though. I think I lost it when Micah gave me the repeater from the stagecoach mission. Like maybe it got force-replaced because I was already carrying two long weapons? I dunno

Sounds like a reasonable assumption, but when my repeater was replaced when I found the Double Barrel, it was still on my horse.

You can indeed be disarmed, if you drop your gun it appears on the minimap as a white pistol icon and you do have to go and retrieve it. I got into a fist fight with someone who knocked it out of my hands, and I had to go and pick it back up. This might happen as well if you drop your gun to pickup another one.

Yeah that has happened to me a couple of times. Playing earlier today it happened again, weirdly although it's my gun it seems to have lost the pearl handle but when i visit gunsmith it still shows when i go into customisation.  Maybe it will be back when i next logon.

Also be aware that you can buy a secondary version of the same pistol you already own at the gun store. This would be in case you want to dual wield 2 of the same gun. You can customise each one, you will see that when you buy a secondary, one will have a Diamond icon, and the other a Club (or something from playing cards) and you can switch between them with dpad. Might explain why some people think their customised gun has disappeared

The game just took my Bow from my inventory at the start of chapter 6. I don't know how to get another one.

Weird I couldn't buy the double action revolver on chapter 2 it unlocked for me on chapter 3 Wich I'm currently on right meow.
