Lost 'Horse Weapons' Button

I swear I saw posts someplace related to this topic a few days ago, but I'm darned if I can find them now, so I'll pose the question here.

In chapter 2, I ride into camp, dismount and the next time I check my horse my Load Weapons button Is missing, giving me no way to access the weapons that were stowed on my horse. The button simply disappears.

I haven't found a way around this problem, so I'm pretty much stuck at this point in the game. I am at the current build level of 1116.8. I have an Xbox One S that's fully updated. I'll be happy to provide any additional information that's requested.
