I think you can use it on locked stores at night, but don't bother trying to use it for some stealth bank robbery. It should give you prompt whenever you approach a door to kick it or pick it. I found couple of robbers with a safe in middle of the woods and if not for dynamite, I wouldn't be able to open it.
