kasa 178
Anyone knows how to avoid all the long trips to the trapper with a perfect pelt? It takes so much time just for 1 animal to travel all the way east, is it like the legendary animals that when you die the animals automatically spawn at trapper? I’m not far in the story but I want to have all trapper outfits before I start
paddymcg 397
Only legendary skins go to the Trapper if you die AFAIK. The Trapper isn't just found in St Denis, he moves around different locations in the wilderness so keep an eye out on the map before you make the trek back to St Denis. It's necessary to take some perfect pelts to the trapper to craft parts of the legendary outfit. @kasa there's a trapper stand W of Annesburg if that's closer, but the only way to get the pelts to him is carry them there. Zourin 19
There are several trappers. One is near the train station by Strawberry on a hilltop, another is west of Annesburg near Elysian Pond. There's probably one in the far west region, and I'm actually now poking around north-western Grizzlies hoping I find another. Edited November 1, 2018 by Zourin
TinyRakan 198
I’m just wondering if there’s any kind of endless missions in RDR2 ? Any idea
Pressure Drop 1,005
The perfect pelts are mainly for Pearson at camp I think? But I agree with you it's annoying having to travel all the way to the trapper, I only have the 1 location for them, in the north-east part of map. Guess I need to find these other locations. Also, what do I do with the legendary carcass? I have had several now, and took them to Pearson, a Fence, a town butcher, and the trapper, and none of them have taken them, they have always been greyed out. The carcass eventually rots and falls off my horse because I couldn't find where to take it. Does anyone know ?

I only have 2, Annesburg and saint denis, how far are you in story?
Zourin 19
not far at all. The one near strawberry is a bit off the path on a plateau, but real close to the train station. I don't think there's anything stopping you from finding them other than general exploration. No luck in the Grizzlies, unfortunately. It's a long way to haul a bear skin. If you skin it then you automatically take the crafting bits you need. If you carry the whole animal unskinned to the Trapper you can sell it for more but you don't need to do that.
BigHundy 10
What is annoying to me is how little money the trapper pays you. The only worthwhile skins are the legendary animals where you get 25-45 dollars whatever it is from the trapper. A regular animal isn't worth your time, imo. I've only found two trappers, one near the train station you find at the beginning, and one west of Annesburg in the woods. I am sure there are many more, as I've only unlocked what looks like about 2/3rds of the map. I'm also wondering if they only show up after certain chapters are completed? ¡MAYDAY! 497
If you leave the legendary pelt on the ground at camp it automatically gets delivered to the trapper.
