(PS4) Making Money Post-Storyline

I have a game going that already has 100% complete. But in GTA5, 100% does not mean 100%. So I'm trying to truly get 100%. The hardest part of this is buying all of the property. I have three properties left to buy: two cinemas and the golf course. They can only be purchased by Michael. I can't find any reasonable way to make money as Michael in this game.

I've googled around plenty. If you time the Lester missions just right, you can make a lot of money. But those missions are long gone. I don't want to start a whole game over again from scratch, I just want to keep this one going.  This is not an Online game, just a regular single-player. I've found tons of articles and discussions about using the stock market to make money, but there doesn't seem to be any reliable way to do it. I've bought and sold stocks repeatedly and at the end of the day, I've lost every penny I've made.

Ive been playing around with taxi missions lately, but those are pathetic. Maybe $300 average per trip. I could do those all day and only break even from one single $5000 trip to the ER.

Trevor has some nice drug running missions where at least you can make some meaningful amounts of money if you do them over and over. But I can't find anything like that with Michael.

I'm not looking for cheats or tricks. Just regular old legit gameplay. I do make about $160,000 per week with what he owns now. But even at that rate, it's going to take me years of real-world time to make enough cash to buy the remaining properties.

I miss GTA:San Andreas. In that game, you could do EVERYTHING as a side mission. That was really fun. I miss that they couldn't include all of that in this game.

About the stock market, I can give a tip

First of all, make two savefiles just to be sure you don't accidentaly end up losing your wage somehow (also because stock market is somehow glitched - The first thing you buy doesn't show up, so any first buy you do will lead to nothing (just buy a single stock to fix this)

Buy stocks from a company that is at its minimum, invest every dollar. After that, pick Michael or Franklin and stay close to a bad.

Sleep (without saving) to make the game advance by 6 hours, so that the stock market as well goes faster.

If it was at its minimum then the company should start rising.  Continue sleeping and when you see that it stops getting higher and starts going downwards, sell everything.

The only problem with this is that you have to possess a LARGE amount of money, at least some milions, because otherwise you'll not gain a lot.

How do you sleep without saving?

Also, how are you supposed to determine if a stock is at it's minimum? No matter how low a stock is, they always seem to keep going down as soon as I buy them.

Just look at the flowchart to see its history. If it keeps going down , keep sleeping.

In order to sleep without saving, just go to the bed and exit immediately, without overwriting your previous savegame

These two techniques should help:

1) Your first half to one million:

- Find a map of the suitcases that are underwater.

- There is one to the east of the map for $25,000.  It is just south of a tennis club.

- Find the spot.  You can go with a dinghy and scuba gear (from the docks at the south or from Micheal's sonar collections dock).  Or you can just go pure lungs.   I recommend your first tries are with scuba gear.

- Dive, get the suitcase.  Do not leave the area.

- Before you run out of air switch to another character, then back.  That will give you more air, and it also sets things up for what follows.  You might run out of air underwater, or you might make it all the way to the surface.

- Use your phone to save the game.

- Reload that save.

- Surprise!  The suitcase is back!

- Repeat until you make 500k-1million.  You might want to watch TV while doing this, it is boring.

Note:  Sooner or later your scuba gear will disappear.  No matter, once you know where things are and get the hang of switching back and forth... you won't have air problems.

2) Playing the stock market:

- Save your game from the phone.

- Go to LCN market.

- Sort it by %gain.

- Choose one stock of the top five by gains.

- Put all your money (from all your characters) into that stock.

- Sleep with one of your characters.  Franklin seems best (sleeps 8 hours) but any will do.  When the save menu shows up, hit Esc (do not save).  Time still advances.

- Check your stock.  If price went up from your last save, save from phone.  If price went down don't save.

- Repeat the sleep/save/don't save cycle.   The price will go up/down but will likely follow some trend.   Note that you are saving only at ever increasing prices.

- If you get a streak of losses... restore from the last save (the highest price) and sell all the stock.

NOTES:

- This method typically yields 10-30% profit.

- Some runs will be great.  Others not so great.

- This method takes a LOT of time.  Make sure to watch TV or your brain will explode.

- But... it is a great way to increase your money.  And the more money you accumulate, the easier it is to make more.

- I strongly recommend you never spend more than 1/3rd of whatever money you have, and better if it is less than 1/10th.

After wasting my time on taxi runs, I used these approaches and made sure to have 60 million before the various stock investing runs (30 mil would probably been more than enough).  I ended up making so much money that I had to stash a bunch of it in BAWSAQ stocks because I kept blowing the 2.1 billion cap.

For you, you'll end up having to run this approach longer, since you will not have those stock-related missions.  If you have not yet got the Tinkle random event... save it for when you have the most money... that will give you a guaranteed return.
