Blood in water?

I have just noticed after a shootout in a river that there is no blood in the water although the shootout resulted in tons of dead bodies. I wonder if it can be turned on in the settings somehow or is it something R* forgot/decided not to implement. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure what happened on your side but it is implemented in the game already, I think it has limitations as it's probably not possible to fill a river with blood, but keep in mind that I did not tried anything concerning that.

 

You can see it briefly there, it was random, I got tracked by bounty hunter after a mission that ended in a fast current river; I was injured and Arthur kept bleeding and the blood continued to flow in the water, and it does work with NPC's too.

 

 

It would be interesting to try somewhere where the water is stable.

I have noticed blood in the slower river near the Limpany camp. One time was when I had just skinned something and had it stored in my pouch, but I had also copped a couple of bullet shots, so whether it came from me or the meat? But it was certainly there and took a while to disappear.

Well the shootout I talked about did actually happen in a fast river so that may explain it. Thank you guys for the replies!
