There's also this extensive crevice network not seen in the intro

My theory judging from the aforementioned lake and above river makes me believe the snow area was much larger, perhaps almost 2x as large! From what I can gather from extensive exploration outside the boundaries this is the only area outside the map that is modeled and looks complete. The rest usually just give up as soon as the boundary hits so I can confidently say the Grizzlies jutted out more West. Will need to explore further before it is patched. Will keep ya'll updated when I finally get to Gurama and not fall down the wrong edge of the map

During my last playthrough of chapter 2 i got a stray bit of dialogue at camp where Arthur told Strauss he hadn't forgotten about "the preacher." I had no moneylending missions open at the time, so I thought it was quite strange. I also can't think of any of the existing moneylending missions that he could have being talking about. Perhaps a cut mission unless I misheard it but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

At this point there's too many independent proofs of this not to be faked- it either has to be DLC or cut leftover content.

It's so odd that we only have two doctor offices in the entire game. Also a strawberry hotel and Rhodes hotel aren't enterable.

Or that between Annesburg and the Van Horn TRADING post you'd think there'd be a general store

The one in Annesburg literally has STORE CLOSED written on it

It has to be DLC. I can’t see it being cut content that makes any sense. Why would we have an adult Jack for anything related to RDR2 and its’ epilogue?

 

It seems way more likely that we’ll get a RDR1 remaster. Possibly. John is already playable in RDR2 and has recorded lines for its new dialogue system. Jack doesn’t, so it makes sense why he would have new lines compared to what he had in RDR1.

The big "What-if" for me is how they're integrating the new voice lines with the old ones if the old ones are reused, since they do sound different.

 

Maybe we'll see an older Jack DLC?

And I said its not the same place as those photos my man. It is literally not in the intro, at no point are you there, go look yourself. The furthest west you go is a bit into the out of bounds section but not to this riverbed or frozen lake shown earlier. You can even tell from the minimap 

 

look for yourself around the 5 minute mark. They would not just randomly load in water to a riverbed then unload it for the rest of the game, I mean look at Guarma

Looks like we were officially going to have gang members we picked to come alongside with us during missions. A user got a Sadie glitch where Sadie kept following him wherever he went out of camp despite not doing any missions and it happened twice. There was an article on one of these pages talking more about this and the original game leaks talked about this. Looks like the feature was scrapped. Sadie even has dialog cause near the end you can hear her tell her horse to calm.

The shirt and screenshot of Sadie would be taken in the Saint Denis saloon if I am remembering correctly, so they must've cut a lot of content regarding Sadie.

The gang was originally suppose to be in Blackwater by the looks of it: https://streamable.com/sibkb - You can see Hosea on the right side along with Sadie. This doesn't happen in the game, but this without a doubt a cut mission because the "WANTED" mechanic is active and if you look at the mini-map you see the red warnings of active gunfire while fleeing. So, the narrative was probably the return to Blackwater at one point.

No considering it's showing actual gameplay which is why I brought up how the mini-map is showcasing them being chased and the wanted mechanic is there. It was cut content. Arthur is teased in Blackwater several other times, they show a bit of him breaking the horse in Blackwater and gameplay of him stumbling on that random encounter with a man looting a body he killed. None of these are spoiling, and there is no reason for them to show this in Blackwater either if they had him locked out completely in BW. Makes absolutely no sense.

That footage is way to close to release to have something that major that was cut in it. I have no idea why people forget rockstar has devtools, they have the power to do these things.

True, but then again the art from this footage is completely different than it is now. So it seems like this footage was done a long time ago due to the art being completely different. Either way, even early development Sadie, Arthur, Charles, Micah and Dutch are seen running through West Elizabeth. So this isn't particularly new either. Charles like someone mentioned had a different set of clothes concept and his hair, and Sadie was full gunslinger. The fact that Blackwater is teased more than once just makes me more inclined to believe he was absolutely meant to go to WE at one point not just New Austin. In 2017 the game was delayed and Dan Houser mentioned the team working over 100 hour weeks and 5-hours of content was dumped, they even mentioned a lot of missions being scrapped and moved around to fix the flow.

 

The actor who plays Javier said a lot of scenes were changed up as well, the beginning wolf scene in the current gameplay was different. Javier fought wolves in a cave with a torch. He mentioned a lot of content was cut and or different than it is now. It's clear they never 100% followed one script only as they continuously changed things which makes sense considering their 100 hr weeks.

This is probably the #1 thing I'm looking forward to once the PC version comes out and mods start to get made. That being said, I hope Rockstar patches this feature back in since it does have a lot of promise for emergent gameplay, and the way they'd do it would probably be more integrated and immersive.

 

jedijosh920 has already made a simple companion mod via hex editing for the PS4 version.

Wouldn't we also get to see the recorded dialog if it's modded back in? I'm not familiar with mods since I'm totally new to that type of scene. I can't wait till it does come on PC though because then that's where the unraveling always happens, through data mining we'll probably find info who was/what was cut, and all of that aside from the companion aspect.

Arthur has dialogue recorded for the peach cobbler and prairie chicken only available in Blackwater. The farrier outfit which is exclusive to Blackwater can be bought and worn by Arthur.
