I wasn't able to find it, probably in part because of the 1 million lawsuit that came from it.. but I did find someone who basically detailed everything that got leaked in the article prior to it being taken down

So was the battle royale that was in beta development a bigger scope/product to the one version we got in RDO?

Has anyone discussed the existance of a music cue/track that is seemingly unknown/unused in the game? :

it doesnt sound like anything ive ever heard in the game,  and the uploader also doesnt seem to know when it was used IF it was even used

They are just the same model.

 

These two Chez Porter sons aren't unused, and they also aren't identical? I went there during the epilogue just to make sure, and sure enough all five of them (and the lady) showed up.

There's loads of tracks that are entirely unused. Shame because some of it sounds really good. Reminds me a lot of some of Dave Porter's stuff for Breaking Bad, like some of the OS_BOB_4_01 through 08 stuff for example.

OS_BOB_04_LONGER_RIDE_TEST_06 is pretty nice too.

no but back then every developer thought that was a selling point for games having watered down BR modes

I was looking at this picture and some of the horses appear to use models that sort of resembles a Quarter Horse.. I was thinking on whether or not this horse in the game which uses a unique model might potentially be using that same model, it's kind of hard to tell from a picture but take a look and let me know what you think: https://reddead.fandom.com/wiki/Standard_Horse

I used to go to Tumbleweed as Arthur with the old Bronte Glitch and there was a lawman eating at the saloon. Also Sheriff Malloy still loiters around the saloon in Valentine so yeah. Most definitely a left over from that feature.

these screenshots are most likely well known, but I wanted to share them here cuz I have an hypothesis that this is Beta Colter in what looks to be Beta Tempest Rim , I think Rockstar "Bulldozed" the specific area Colter was located in, since the final area looks much more flatter and empty

These must be some pretty old images, I'm pretty sure that's the Cleveland Bay horse from the first game (the tail looks a bit off but everything else matches up) so I imagine they used that as a placeholder prior to adding the new horses.

Thought this was interesting: This poster of Benedict Allbright in the O'Driscoll room at the Valentine Doctor has his location being listed as the "Valentine Oilfields". I'm pretty sure this might be a beta name for the Heartland Oil Fields (a.k.a the location of Cornwall Kerosene and Tar), and that's the same place Doc Wormwood (A cut character who was supposed to be arrested for similar crimes) was found. Here's the poster I found, the normal poster you find for him, and Doc Wormwood's poster for comparison.

I know I already restored the giant's clothes, but I actually learned a bit about texture editing and I was finally able to restore all of his textures (he doesn't have textures for his torso or shirt so I used filler textures.) Still trying to work out if there's any eyes that might work for him.

 

Here's his restored 1899 and 1907 appearance, with all of his leftover textures intact:

Beta Colter (if that's what these images are supposed to be) resembles the concepts art rendition of the area that was released by a dev on their portfolio a few years after the game where the overall terrain is a lot less flater and doesn't feel as dead, as you said.

It's not in the files linked, they're files located in MUSIC_2T.rpf in OpenIV. The mega archive refers to that track as "Unknown Track - BOB," BOB being the filename for a bunch of unused tracks in the aforementioned .rpf

I see, thank you. I'd love to hear the tracks you listed one day because your description of them is interesting to me as a fan of David Porter's work on Breaking Bad's soundtrack.

On the image that features the Cleveland Bay horse from the first RDR, you can actually notice a couple of npcs standing around near a campfire. Early gang members perhaps?
