Or is the only way to get rid of it is to pay it? Also would paying a bounty get rid of "Wanted dead or alive" status? It's not forced, but if a cop or a bounty hunters sees you in that particular area you're not going to have a good time. The answer to your last question is yes too. Because if people are chasing you you'll have to keep killing them, and that will only raise the bounty even more. But you don't have to pay it. You can just try and avoid lawmen. chipsanddips Posted October 31, 2018 Share Posted October 31, 2018 My advice is never keep a lot of money, once you hit x buy an item you want, if you have $300 bounty and only a $1 and surrender the bounty will wipe if you have $400 it will take $300 to wipe bounty Carry high value stolen items if you ever need $100 or a goldbar to fence as those don't get taken Just don't carry a lot of currency Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
