full_r3trd Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) 18 minutes ago, ViperDG said: Makes combat completely non challenging. i agree but on the other hand, without auto aim would make you eventually put your head through the TV i wish auto aim only made you point your gun in the general direction of a target and you still had to manually aim it... in real life if you have two targets in front of you... it is quite simple to raise a gun and point the gun at them one after another, that takes zero effort or skill, jumping from target to target makes sense, now firing the gun and hitting your target is the hard part... i think GTA does it right with your ability to jump from target to target but it helps too much by aiming at center mass and helping you follow target In GTA modding I remember there was a native function to make a ped aim at another ped... when in reality the movement of the arm should be calculated so it moves in the direction of the target with a degree of innaccuracy that would be determined by stats... so the direction of the arm relative to the target would vary slightly everytime you "auto aimed" at the target and now you need to zero in on center mass or the head yourself... that would be realistic... 100% free aim is excessively difficult and not realistic imo.
