Nah Tso Gud Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 Yikes.. Anyone else having a time with this one?? Van Horn to Blackwater, no getting wet. First I crossed a river. Then I realized it says "dry" run.. like the other challenge did.. So I returned and started back.. Can you cross any water at all?? Like just the ankle/maybe knee deep stuff? I just assumed not.. and started over. Luckily it was early in my journey... same with the next one, where I went flying off my horse and was damned if I was going to travel all that way only to find out That resets the whole mission ( it sure would be nice if you could properly Start these time challenges.) So, I made the most out of it.. crafted more horse stimulants, and head out once more... Cruising, I get to the train bridge that links New Hanover with whatever territory Strawberry is in.. half way across it.. I think to myself, "man, wouldn't that suck ass if there was a........... Train..." I tried to sneak to the side of it on the bridge... doesn't work. YMEP...Dead... My horse and I both smooshed. One more go at it... No train! Woo! I went south to look to see if the road straight to Blackwater had the knee deep crossing, and yep, it did. So I wind up to the north ( west of Strawberry ) and finally make my way into "Dead or Alive" territory... it didn't take long until a group of bounty hunters were on me.... tried to out run them and sort of freaked out/didn't know what to do... I should've tried to drink a tonic or Deadeye'd the crap out of them... but, not used to being in combat for a good hour or so, I froze up. Sad, embarrassing... Ugh. They Ymep'd me real good... Now I realize that the next time I go in, I could use my bandanna so they can't identify me, and probably just pump myself full of fortified health tonics... better luck next time, me. I think my damn horse got bit by a snake like right away.. so my stamina was getting screwed with and he wasnt eating anything for me....made it West Elizabeth again and ran through the first 2 groups of bounty hunters ( I had the mask on and it did nothing )... The last group was right outside the DAMN town.... gunned me down as I tried to go wide around them. Next time they're catching bullets... Instead of going way around to the west and north and going that whole lengthy way through W.E. I found a bridge that was out... and I managed to jump it with my horse...gnarly, I know.. saved LOADS of time... especially in the DoA zone.. I even managed to escape back to safety alive too.
