Can't shoot/use shotgun/bow/lasso

Hi,

 

I am using a PS4 to play RDR2.

 

During the intro, one of the objectives is to shield two mates from wolves after saving a guy from a mountain.

You are prompted to use the sawed-off shotgun, however I was not able to use the gun with the standard FPS control settings (R2 would not fire the gun).

Eventually I found that I am also unable to use the lasso and bow.

 

The rifle and revolve are fine and do fire with R2.

 

Currently I have set my controls to Alternate FPS to shoot with R1, but this is not ideal.

 

Is there a fix for this problem? I have seen multiple people having this issue.
