How to activate the Special Edition?

I successfully activated the two Special Edition Codes for RDR2 in PSN for the release.  But for some reason they are not recognized by the game?  Do I have to adjust anything?  In GTA V, for example, you got an ingame notification.

I'm now as good as through with chapter two but still haven't got the horse unlocked (Yes I did the stable mission).  Furthermore I wanted to get the exclusive treasure map in Limpany but it is not there either.
