Character moving on his own

Maybe this is my Xbox One controller, but if I stop moving Arthur, he will stand still for a moment then begin to move on his own.  I wondered if this is part of the game or when you stop moving, will Arthur stand still until you move him again?

 

Also if I choose to sit, sometimes Arthur will just keep moving on his own, or if he does the sit animation he will sit down for about 1 second then get up on his own.  Lastly if I go into the map, the red marker will move on its own.  Unfortunately I do not have another controller to test.  Can anyone let me know if you get the same things?

 

It is probably the controller module, but I wanted to be sure.

I did go purchase another controller today and it is my old one.  Now I do not have any wandering with the new controller.  If I stop, Arthur stops and if I am looking at the map, the cursor does not move on its own.  Also if I sit then Arthur stays seated until I move him.
