Melee combat - INSTANT DEATH

Are you positive they even die, though?

And if so, how did you even find out?

The people I knocked out so far are people I never see again, but that don't mean much since I haven't seen them before either, so I can't really tell if they're considered dead by the game.

Well the screen flashes and they stay lying on the ground. They never stand up from the ground limping like they did in GTA IV.

If you get the little flash when you knock them down, you can go up and kick them a couple times and they'll die. Plus if there are witness, you can tell cause if you kill them you're wanted for murder, if you don't then is an assault charhe

In one in the missions, you knock out a guy, and Arthur says in the cutscene that he isn't dead, just knocked out. So I just assume it's the same for all the people you knock out.

They do not die, if they are witnesses around do you get wanted for murder ? nope, but you do if you kick someone KO in the head.

Is it possible to knockout someone during brawl without getting them killed?

Despite what anyone says, I don't think so. The flash is the ''screen kill effect'', (which can be turned off). The screen flashes everytime you kill somebody. I turned it off as soon as I started the game, but if you have it turned on and the screen flashes everytime you ''knock'' sombody out, they're dead.

They don't die when you knock them out. Aim your gun at their head once they're down and you'll notice the crosshair that they are still alive. Shoot them in the head after they're knocked out and you'll see what I mean.

Sometimes they're dead - I won a straight fistfight against the wild drunk chap in the Valentine saloon, and was immediately Wanted for Murder. Didn't kick him or shoot him or nothing - just many, many blows to the head......

Sadly yes, nobody survives after you have beaten them. The screen flashes instantly during your killer punch and a X appears on the map where their bodies fell.

They don't die.

The X on the map is simply indicating that they are no longer a threat and that you can loot them or pick them up.

Pull out a gun and aim it at them. If the dot is red then they are alive.

I've done it to everyone I have fought and none were dead.

...not even once.

Strange because no matter how long I wait they don't seem to get up. I didn't even choke them.

They do get up...after I knocked someone out I waited a minute or 2 but they were still on the ground, so I walk a little away where I could still see them...about 15 ft and the guy got up and stumbled away.  Not sure if moving a little bit away played a part but they do get up.  Big improvement over gta v.

Edit: just did it now.  For some reason they don't get up if you stand too close.  If you walk about 15 ft away, you'll see them get up.  The guy I just knocked out even said, "caught me off guard."

Hatin Since 87

Ya I got in a fight with a guy in valentine last night and KO’ed him. I went antagonizing people and when I came back he was holding his face limping down the street. I antagonized him as I walked by and he wanted to fight again

Yep lol

Maybe they are pretending to stay asleep because they don't want another beat-down.

Might be able to stomp and kick them to death.

Haven't tried yet.

..::Edit::..

Ok so apparently you can stomp and kick them to death...

If so, they shouldn't want to fight again if you antagonize them after they get up.
