Arkynyx
The crime system either makes it terrible and impossible to be a criminal or its bugged beyond belief. 1. Im convinced the bandana does nothing.every story mission that you rob or kill people (even though the bandana is on) somehow you get slapped with a bounty aimed at arthur. Most story missions ive completed bring me closer and closer to hating this game. For instance, you kill an army of odriscolls and even though youre rewarded with say 300 or so immediately after that you get a 150 bounty even though you had a bandana on its like it didnt register and tacked on each kill like you went without it. Even after the game made such a big deal about it during one section of the story, it just feels like a let down. 2. Theres literally no way to remove a bounty other than paying it. You cant wait it out, you cant tear down wanted posters you cant kill a certain target who is pushing for your capture, nothing. Youre stuck shelling out money to remove it (which it can ramp up to ridiculous amounts very quickly. After 1 story mission i racked up a $400 bounty) there needs to be alternatives to removing a bounty, even serving jail time would be nice, as im currently hunted by every city and im WAY too poor on my criminal playthrough to even hope to pay it off) 3. The lawmen are beyond overpowered, i can walk into a middle of a camp of enemies in a story mission on horseback and pop away leaving me with about half health, while 1 lawman pops his head over the hill and 2 shots me with a repeater. I understand theyre lawmen and theyre trained to shoot, but every other enemy ive encountered doesnt have near the accuracy or damage as these guys, not to mention their horses are crazy too, they had no problem keeping up with my souped up getaway race horse with max bond, gear and had stam buffs. 4.the people in the towns know all and never forget. Ran into a town robbing all the stores and killed loads of innocents and lawmen wearing my *outlaw outfit* bandana black hat and black outfit. Ran well away from the town set up a camp rested a few days changed outfits so that none of my clothes were the same, even the hat. Went back in 3 days later to talk to a stranger calling for me, mid convo i hear "i know you!" And get 2 tapped by a shotty to the back of the head.I followed the crime tabs instructions provided by the help tab completely yet somehow captain trigger happy didnt get the memo. The either unclear/bugged/impossible crime system really unfortunately pigeon holes you into playing 1 way. I was really looking forward to playing as a ruthless killing machine but as of now at least i just cant play a crime heavy play through without wanting to rip my hair out at the mechanics. SeniorDerp
Have you tried robbing with the full mask in your horsewheel? I don’t do much big robbery and haven’t used it but I saw it there and was curious
Arkynyx
Just tested it, it seems to have the exact same properties as the bandana. Robbed a place started to run bounty dropped on arthur morgan by name. It seems to just be a mask if youre on horse as its linked to the horse and cant be added to your inventory like a gun. You put in on at your horse then run around.
HockeyMike24
You need to change your hair and clothing styles up as well. I rarely ever get bounties and I'm always robbing stage coaches for extra cash. It's amazing how realistic this game is. They will recognize you like they would in real life. Just insult a lawman and then surrender Also my bounty seems to max out at 300 not sure how you got a 400 dollar bounty Edited October 28, 2018 by Cutter De Blanc Sonny_Black
SAS_Intruder
We can surrender? How? Does it apply to situation where lawmen already shooting at you but you don't shoot at them?
Cutter De Blanc
I haven't been able to diffuse the situation when guns start blazing. But if everything has calmed down just walk up to a lawman, talk some sh*t and and the option to surrender should appear Not sure about Ambarino though, there's no law proper up here to surrender to, just bounty hunters Edited October 28, 2018 by Cutter De Blanc saintsrow

Make sure you put away your weapon before you're being shot at and hold L2 down, you should see the surrender option. It may even work when you're being shot at but I'm not positive. Spleenball
I've noticed the bandana is useless too. I've shot someone and was outed at Arthur and given a bounty.

LOL in real life if you commit a crime, you can’t make it go away by waiting it out lol. When your wanted, your wanted!!! Watch some western movies (Young Guns 1&2, American Outlaws) are good examples of the outlaw gang life in the Wild West. You also can’t simply kill another person to erase your bounty lol. It’s not one person that is trying to rid the world of outlaws, it’s the government.
Gray-Hand
Yeah, but it’s not real life or a scripted movie where the writer has complete creative control to make being banned from a town dramatically interesting rather than a pain in the ass. Given that you can get a pretty annoying and time consuming bounty on you by accidently hitting R2 at the wrong time and shooting someone, or by running into a pedestrian on your horse, it would have been better if they had done something to make the consequences of fat fingers less dire. caiaof
