Thank you Rockstar, for getting rid of one of the mechanics I've hated the most in your recent games.

I'm so happy about this, it's ridiculous.

Also, if you guys who complained about the controls haven't noticed, there IS an option to put sprint on toggle rather than hold or tap. 👍

yea i finally get to crouch again rather than walk at a wierd ass pace. Don't see why they didn't have that mechanic in GTAV but it is what it is i guess.

He's talking about GTA V where there wasnt a crouch mechanic, there was that wierd hunched over jog kind of thing in its place

I am not confused by anything, it was more of a "How did I miss that" wut?

Nnnno... Not reallt.

I'm talking about how in GTAV or RDR1, each time you draw your weapon, your character will automatically start running when you push the joystick all the way forward. I always hated that. I like my terminator walk, and I like deciding when I want to run or not.

It didn't work excatly like that. Character started jogging when the shootout started, but you could still walk if you didn't push the joystick all the way. The only difference was that you did not have to hold X to jog.

Anyone knows if the combat stance is still there? I mean character holding a gun in safe position when not aiming?

Never said you couldn't walk at all, in fact I did very much say you would run when pushing the joystick all the way forward, implying you would still walk if you push it only slightly. It's still annoying that I suddenly had to put this kind of effort into walking.

But also, you're right and wrong about jogging when the shootout started.

That's how it worked in GTAV, correct. But not in RDR1.

Also there was absolutely no single way to walk when playing on keyboard mouse in GTAV when the combat jog kicked in. Unless you went into that hunchback form they called a crouch mode.

Holy cow, now this is the kind of improvement I was looking for! I f*cking hate that forced combat stance in V/Online whenever I fire a bullet or just punch the air.
