It doesn't matter if it was or wasn't, it's just the characters name. Plot/story spoilers are what matters.

Oh, I thought it was part of some sort of big reveal. My apologies, then.

If you have a rifle in your hands and try to get your lantern out, Arthur will attach the lantern to his belt, instead of holding it in his hand.

If you only hold a handgun in your hand, he will holster the gun to hold the lantern.

Found a mine with a knife and miner's hat in it.

(The hat has a light on it)

When equipped you get both hands free.

The knife (called the wide blade knife) will replace your existing one.

Location is...

Big Valley, Mount Shann. North East of Strawberry. But you have to take the trails that are on the west side of the mountain.

The game supports putting the lantern on the side of a two handed weapon, I'm basically 100% sure of it. I died with a rifle in hand and a lantern in the other and when I restarted from checkpoint Arthur had the lantern on the side of the rifle and I could aim. As far as I know there is no way to do this manually though.

Some random NPCs will tell you about the herbs in the world. Randomly passing by when someone called me over, expecting the worst, I approached cautiously; but instead he spoke of Ginseng and how it helps in tonics. To help, he left the plant alone so I could take some. And after I did, we both headed our separate ways. Thought that was actually pretty cool.

I just found out earlier today that you can actually drive the trains this time around! You will get wanted for it if you're caught, but still it's a cool feature that will help me explore the map much further and more conveniently. Just hold the X button and I'll probably reveal most of New Austin on the map.

Not sure if anyone else overlooked this...

I know I did.

When standing in a place that has a lot of selections to investigate, interact with, pick up, search, so on and so on...

Hit R1(on playstation) or Right bumper (on Xbox) to cycle through all the different items rather then trying to get the right thing you are looking for.

An example of this would be the dressers in the rooms for rent. When you stand in front of it, it prompts you first to change your cloths.

However if you tap R1 (rt bumper on Xbox) it will give you the option to search the dresser.

If you hold left trigger to lock onto an item you can flick the right stick to change item as well.

I love driving the trains in this game! I just wish that they went faster tho..

Micah and Bill have a random conversation around the campfire. Leave it to Micah to say Bill Williamson is a stupid name

I think it's also mentioned in one of the many letters or on the back of a photo located in camp.

There were a lot of them.

Lots of reading lol.

So I may be mistaken about the name...

I pressed the “Greet” button towards someone and we had the conversation but when Arthur said something sarcastic when I then pressed “Antagonize” the NPC responded back... “you’re a funny bugger”. I instantly thought of Django Unchained. It was probably just random though but holy crap was it spot on the way he spoke it. He did the laugh and all.

lol you earn honor points for killing rats in barns with a knife.

Might work with any weapon, I didn't try.

Just thought it was funny that you gain honor for playing exterminator.

This possibly was already mentioned and some of you may know already, but you can hold "Circle/B" to go back from any menu (Main menu, gunsmith, general store, etc.) straight to gameplay instead of having to press the button a lot of times.

You can also hold "Options"(PS4) to open/close the map instantly.

In the Cotorra Springs area of Ambarino there are a few geysers that will go off periodically. If you jump into any of them you will die instantly.

If you kill an animal the carcass will decompose.

You can see the progression of it over a few days.

Same goes for the ones you skin.

Just saw an eagle grab a fish out of a stream.

Also people can still shoot you while roped, until you hog tie them.

The attention to detail is impressive.

Your curser in the mini map turns grey when hiding like in GTA5 or San Andreas...it was during a mission though...not sure how it works in the open world, if at all.

Arthur gets a really fatigued look on his face and also starts dragging his body weight when your health deteriorates all the way down.

Hands free travel

Some of you may know this but I didn't know this until a moment ago...

Set a waypoint, change the camera to cinematic, tap your horses run button a few times, and let the horse do the driving.

The horse will maintain the speed you set and travel along the path to the waypoint without you having to do anything but enjoy the scenery.

...unless your travel is interrupted.

..::Edit::..

Wow.

Not sure if this was a glitch or was programmed.

I'm thinking it is programmd because of the type of animal it was...

So I shot a few things walked away just a bit and when came back there was an animal on the ground. When I got close I noticed it was a possum. So I thought maybe something else killed it, but I'll take the free pelt. So I walk up to skin it and it jumped up and took off running.

A possum playing possum lol

..::Edit::..

Yep the possums do play dead lol

The "throwing" feature in fist fights (through windows etc) doesn't work for me. I have to grab him like 6 times before the opponent is anywhere near where I want him to be and Arthur always misses the direction I throw him.

Well maybe I'm just too stupid  :D Suggestions on how to make it work?
