Things you didn't know about RDR2 until now

Recommended Posts

Later on in the story (Chapter 6), at the campsite, there is a map by Arthur's tent that will allow you to fast travel to any location on the map. I don't know if this is available earlier in the story or not. I happened to stumble across this feature about a couple missions before the end of the game :(

I'm on chapter 3 and already bought that feature. It's in the book next to the donation box.

Damn, apparently it's not possible to go back where John was in the introduction, mountain range above the clouds..actually there is a good portion up there in the mountain that are not accessible even tho it's not beyond the limit, it should be accessible, strange.

Don't know if it's been said already but enemies can use DYNAMITE

I think only specific enemies can use it but i got whopped a few times by the same enemies in a row because they threw dynamite at me and it blows up in 1-2 seconds.

Enemies can also rapid fire / fan the hammer. (Keep your eye on the cop)

I am 99% sure this is a thing but if you press L3 to calm/praise your horse when it's sprinting it will sometimes replenish a bit of your horses stamina.

So basically RDO races are gonna be full of player characters going "that's a good boy/girl" for the duration of the race I bet lol.

-Someone mentioned dynamites. I saw Molotov Cocktails being thrown to me as well.

-You can hold Square/X to continuously loot items without any breaks.

You can jump onto your horse quite awkwardly from a ledge...I tried to make a better landing by pressing triangle in the air but no joy.

As Dutch is giving his speech towards the end of the party in Chapter four a thunderstorm will roll in behind him

Sometimes the gang will sing the same song Arthur sings to himself out on the trail "The cowardly killer who shot mr miller has laid old otis in his grave"

You can actually be struck by lightning.

Didn't happen to me personally but I just saw it on a Prestige Clip video. There was also a few more when I YT searched it

Just make sure you shoot on the side of the bag you are trying to search, because if the horses falls and lays on the bag you want...

you can't get to it.

I found a dead horse near a stream. I looted one bag, and then was able to lasso it and turn it over, but was unable to loot the second bag. Whether that would have been possible had I moved it before looting, who knows? In the end, I managed to get it up on its stomach so both bags were accesible, but still no luck.

The waterfall at the Map boundary north of the map is called Rocky Seven, this can be found out by taking a picture there

So that's where that is. I've had a lead on a homestead robbery there for a while now, couldn't figure out where it was.

It's odd, as there's no indicators on any map that that's the name of the waterfall, but yes it's right near doverhill north of Brandywine drop

Yeah it looks like if the horse is already dead you can only look in one, but if it is alive and has let you look in one, but kicks you when you try to look in the other...

It does work.

It seem people are quickly freaking out when I'm walking behind them because of my low honor, I don't remember it happened when I had a 'neutral' honor. If anyone can confirm..

I have max honour and people still get spooked if I'm walking right behind them
