I'm trying to decide which chapter to leave a save in so I can go back to the nostalgic days of a happy, full camp lol 'A strange kindness' (triggered by Dutch) is the mission that moves the camp, although after 'The Sheep and the Goats' (triggered by John in Valentine), the camp is in the process of being dismantled, and I believe you're locked out of a bunch of stuff. I've always thought the best place to stop for a nostalgia save would be to do 'A Strange Kindness' and then 'Further Questions of Women's Suffrage' (triggered by going to see the Pierson/Sadie argument) and then pause. Everyone's alive and well, and moderately happy, almost everything has been unlocked, and the Clemens Point camp is, in my opinion, both the most attractive and most convenient site. And as an added bonus, I think you can do those missions before 'An American Pastoral Scene' so you wouldn't even have to have Micah in camp!

Not a bad Centralized location between the West and East with access to water for fishing and such.
NikosUncle 483 Posted January 18 With the Strange Man painting in the cabin... I didnt even go inside until after I’d completed 100% and now the painting is always stuck at the second to last stage (still abit blurry). I read the painting only gets finished when you get 100% but since i didn’t see it before that does it mean it won’t ever complete for me?

Good point, clemens point is nice and it does offer a nice boat and spot for fishing. Out of curiosity though, why should I complete further questions of a women's suffrage? Does it unlock something? Unless you do 'Further Questions of Women's Suffrage', then you can't go near Pierson's wagon. He and Sadie are having a big time argument, and the mission automatically triggers when you get close. I'm assuming that if you want a full camp, you also want to be able to walk freely around it, do all gang activities, and talk to as many of the gang as possible! You might might end up shoving them first but if you keep hitting circle you'll punch them. Decked this lady in the face the other day cuz she was dressed real fancy, and I didn't like that
Cutter De Blanc 13,823 Posted January 24 Besides the appearance is there any difference between Otis Miller's Revolver and a regular Schofield? The stats seem to be the exact same

They'll go away if you pay bounty unless you're accessing Blackwater\New Austin early, in which case you cannot remove the bounty (Arthur has a $5K bounty on his head in Blackwater but it cannot be paid). In the first half of the game these ambushes are kinda common but become less frequent the more you play the game. They shouldn't be able to easily kill you if you're well armed. That would blow as it tends to be a PITA to get rid of the rod and too long under fire for sure. Had then attack once while camping and once they just came to my camp and 'Warned' me. Usually they ambush me on the road but I develloped a great technique for that I've not seen anyone else use. I run.

Either Estate boss hat or the sand color Stalker hat would work. I'd even say the Stalker hat would be better because of the slight bend. The color is a bit darker tho

Mr.GameChanger 0 Posted February 8 I have a question.... Every now and then while playing SP as author. I can be in the middle of no where. minding my own business. and I'll here a womans voice call out to me. At first, I though I was trippin…..Playing the game for long hours, maybe I'm just hearing things. right? before now it had never been picked up by the closed caption of the game. but as I was playing just now it happened again, this time it was loud and clear and the closed caption picked it up. I don't know if this has been addressed already. I looked on google and on here I couldn't find nothing. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? There are several random encounters spread around the map involving women-some need help some are setting you up for 'Bad Things', you never know till you try it. Closed Caption can be iffy at times-I'm hearing impaired so use it to not miss conversations and such but there are times where someone is talking and I get nothing as well. Do you get a Blip on the map indicating directions of the voice and can you understand anything she is saying?
diperro 35 Posted February 12 (edited) How does gun familiarity work? Which ammo type is the best for each gun (excluding explosive)? Am I right to think it may be express for revolvers/pistols, high velocity for repeaters/rifles/snipers and slugs for shotguns? Is splint point ammo worth the hassle? SPOILER ALERT Does John get the legendary revolvers from the gunslinger missions if I already got them with Arthur? Split point is better than you Box Ammo purchased at the Gunshop but you thought on High Velocity and Express is about right as far as my loadout goes. I carry slugs in the Autoloading shotgun but 00 in the shorty for close-up work. As for your last question? Yes you get them afterwards.
Cutter De Blanc 13,823 Posted February 12 So I encountered the rapey guy in the bayou, and the incest couple, but I didn't go into either of their houses, will I be able to do these encounters again later?

Is there a difference in performance between the three coats of the Turkoman horse? Which horse is the fastest one? I already got the Dappled Black Thoroughbred that came with the Special Edition, but I'm not sure if the Arabian is worth the trouble. My plan is to use the Turkoman for hunting/gunfights/free-roam in general, and the Thoroughbred or whatever's best for racing. SPOILERS: Do the speed and bonding bonuses from horse races stay with John after getting them with Arthur? I'm trying to do as much as I can with Arthur before switching to John Edited February 12 by diperro added third question and spoiler

Not sure about the Rapey guy but I've watched vids of people going back and forth to the Incest couple so I think you can continue to visit them till you play that storyline out one way or the other. rthur loses his horse at the end and you get none of them after. 4 hours ago, diperro said: Thanks for your input, feller! SPOILERS: Reveal hidden contents Do the speed and bonding bonuses from horse races stay with John after getting them with Arthur? I'm trying to do as much as I can with Arthur before switching to John I'm not sure about the Performance. I stole the Nokota and map from the Spaniard near Strawberry-explorer guy on the overlook you run into. The Nokota was a Race so I kept it because I had zero luck even seeing the White Thourobred until I was in a Whiteout Blizzard up by the lake, saw a Goose swimming in the lake [[using Eagle vision]], figured I would get some feathers Gand get a Goose in my Notebook of Critters so shot it with a poison arro to not spook the horse should it be around. Rode over to get the Goose to see the White Arabian sinking into the water-apparently it was going for a swim and was not a Goose after all. 😛 As far as the hidden question-Nope. Remember, Spoiler Arthur loses his horse at the end-he loses all of his horses and John starts over. I was given the Black Thoroughbred [[maybe I bought it?]] as John and the first time I crossed back into the Great Plains the frelling Lobos shot it out from under me then killed me too so I lost it. Been intentionally hunting those rat bastards ever since.

I've killed the rapist like 2 months ago and recently encountered him again on the same save file. Apparently he respawns. Not sure about the incest couple, but once I killed them they were gone for good.
TexasOdysseus 303 Posted February 14 Hi ya'll! I haven't been around for a while because I had to recuse myself from accidentally seeing spoilers before I finished the story (still haven't, almost though, haha), but a strange problem came up: My bow is suddenly not working. It'll fire ONLY if I use deadeye to tag and then R2 will fire. But R2 will NOT work otherwise with the bow. R2 functions perfectly with everything else, but not the bow. Any ideas? Grazie.
