cmon man, when people complain about R* updates they usually have good reasons for it. Rarely you can see someone bitching cause they had "super high expectations". Usually its just R* not delivering most basic things, like the lack of nightclub clothing in AH.

I have seen plenty of nitpicky and unreasonable gripes with updates, especially After Hours, we all agree there was a lack of clothing and style options, even only a small vehicle selection, but people act like the whole update was trash when a lot of effort went into that update, I'm not saying there isn't warranted criticism, I have taken part in it, balance is a bigger issue than not getting what you wanted in an update.

@Fun 2 can correct me but from what I understand that script doesn't have a code that removes all existing props on the 27th. So if they don't change nothing (like disabling the script/replacing it with a new one) those props should stay there until they do something about it.

Still I wouldn't say that people have too high expectations and thats why they complain. I would say after all those years people have extremely low expectations cause they know they can't expect much from R*.
And people had good reasons to complain about AH.Some people care more about outfits, some people care more about cars and that update disappointed every group just a little bit.

The only unrealistic expectations that I remember was that one guy that wanted 50 tanks and map expansions. 

Bahama Mamas? I wouldn't call that unrealistic expectation. The only reason people asked for that in the first place was because they knew it was almost completely finished but never used. So no wonder that people expected that. I don't remember anyone saying that "this was the only reason that dlc sucked".

I notice a lot of people in the RDO community vehemently stating the red dead update will come before the casino (citing the fact that it was "announced" earlier) 

 

I think they are wrong, but they are seemingly very convinced.

What always confuses me is when people complain that the Oppressor Mk 2 has ruined the game (I would agree it had a negative effect) but then also think that Arena War is the worst DLC ever.

 

My vote for worst would be SSASSS because it introduced advanced handling flags.

I'm thinking casino before RDR... main reason is because R* have it pinned to the top of their social media pages and I think thursday will put a whole new hyp on the casino with whatever info we get. Once you start hyping up a gta dlc, there's no stopping it

Not the first time they do that.

 

The theme song of GTA 1 plays in GTA III's Lips 106 (Grand Theft Auto).

 

A song from GTA II is used as the theme song of GTA Advance (Feel Good Carjacking In Hilltown).

 

A song from GTA Vice City Stories is also used by The Black Madonna in her set in GTAO, I can't remember the song's name, but it appeared in Fresh 105.

 

A bunch of songs from GTA Liberty City Stories can be used as a ringtone in GTA IV.

Personally, I don't consider SSASSS a major dlc. Spring filler. Oppressor MK2 benefits griefing.. but also can benefit grinding for money. I'm 50/50 on it. Arena War was fun... for awhile. 

 

But this casino dlc, this is going to be more of what the majority of the fan base wants.

did I not mention amusement park in my original post that started this thread?  I think that's pretty unreasonable, and sue me for my hyperbole, I'm sure there are plenty that complain without getting their expectations up and I'm sure there are plenty that get their expectations up and don't complain...  it's also not unreasonable to temper expectations in general.

The removal of the props can be done via background scripts. However, i think the props will be gone when the update drops.

Unfortunate to hear buddy. I usually only renew every 3 months, but I noticed there was a good deal going on for the year membership at only £35 so I decided to go for that

I agree, it doesnt seem like its going to happen. I do hope to see a trailer sometime this week or next week. and the DLC actually dropping the week after

the other thing about them listening to us is this fanbase spans the gamut of social structures, everyone from jocks to theater kids and everything in between is represented by this playerbase.  they literally can't listen to us because we never agree on anything, ever.  over on reddit half of them are grinders that want a MkII nerf and the other half are griefers that want a MkII upgrade.  even when anyone agrees that is still only representative of a fraction of the playerbase.

when we were on mini golf and arcade the other day I had the thought of arcade virtual golf, but it's a game so the golf we have is already virtual golf, so if they were to add virtual golf it would be virtual virtual golf and that reminds me of the time Amy on Futurama played virtual virtual ski ball

Very true. Creedit where credits due though, R* have actually pretty much tried to please almost every fanbase. Just look back through the DLC's we have received and look at the diversity... Bikers, Gunrunning, Heists (x2), Nightclubs now the casino... 

 

You could even argue that tuners have got some tuner cars from benny's. Though, its not a full blown DLC, they have still released some tuner cars like the elegry retro custom and banshee 900r.

 

I honestly can't think of any other BIG dlc that people have been wanting that we havent received yet outside of mansions, but that may come as part of another DLC or possibly even this one.

I'll say it again... I want a police auction DLC. Pretty damn easy for R* to make a new website, new hangar-like properies to store said vehicles (police/EMT/firetruck/utility vehicles) and then throw in missions related to them, like vigilante, taxi, etc. R* get an easy filler DLC and we get to finally store police vehicles and some new missions.
