Look, I'm not against actually working for the stuff you want. Great. But my biggest problem with GTA's drawn out way of doing it is:

• I value my free time, and I don't get nearly as much time as I did when I was just a high school student. So when I do have free time specifically set aside for gaming, I want to have fun and I want to enjoy things. I don't want to essentially have a second job or yet another thing to "study" in order to make money so I can buy one virtual car with many flaws I could pick apart and become broke again.
• My first point is contingent on this one: It's boring. I'm sorry, maybe people like grinding, doing missions on end, etc. It is boring stuff. It is not nearly as fun as SP storyline missions, it's just repetitive nonsense and there is no immersion. Our characters don't talk. The voice acting is over the top and chintzy, the AI is cheaply done to try and make things challenging (rubberbanding, way too accurate aim) and then you have to walk on eggshells to do business related stuff because you have to worry about some dumbass who gonna blow you and your cargo up for the fun of it. You know what would be fun? if instead of influencing players to destroy your cargo, they could steal it and use it for themselves and vice versa. Why tf not instead of making people chase you down for k/d, some RP and $2000? All of that tedious, not very fun work for nothing. I would gladly "grind" a lot if I felt engaged. In every GTA you have to work for what you get and always manages to be fun and you look forward to not only what you can accumulate but the methods required. In this case, I look at the methods as a chore and sorry bud, I do not set aside my time to do virtual chores for virtual benefits.

The worst part is that its intentionally tedious and boring. Nothing stops them from adding lets say 50 different resupply missions instead of 10 (or updating them once a year) but they want you to get bored as fast as possible, it can't be too enjoyable after all. Just think how many cool missions they could simply port from SP... but nope, lets use slow Post vans and garbage trucks instead!

you can't say that griding isn't hard those days if you have to cheat the game to even sell anything. And yes, we all do it but the fact that we have to play online games alone is still pretty funny to me.

All of this is fine opinion.  Just like I told Voodoo, then you don’t enjoy this game, no shame in this.  If you enjoy the game, then you will never grind (what do they say, if you love your jobs, you will never work a day in your life).  I am lucky to have group that still gets on and plays, and for us, just horsing around doing anything together is fun, doesn’t matter the activity.  It is almost as if getting paid monies to play together is a bonus, not reason for playing.  I just think that there are some on here, maybe even you, that really don’t enjoy the game play at all.  If this thing is true, I don’t understand why players such as yourself, with limited free time, don’t just go find a game you enjoy more. It doesn’t seem all that complicated to me.  Again, I respect your opinion, and obviously disagree with it, but this is the thing I do not understand.

Yep, I jumped off the grind ship years ago, but I don't have anything against people that are still grinding, if it works for them and they enjoy their game, that's the only thing that matters.

Yeah. There will always be money glitches in gta. The trick is to enjoy the videogame on your own terms, and not to hate on ppl who make there money in a way that makes them happy. I remember when game devs coded money cheats into a game, but now its become a matter of moral issues lol.

Just spit balling, but how would pvp casino games work. Will a player seperate from the lobby in a manner similar golf with an open invitation or join mechanic in order to guarentee a pvp game?

How RDR2 does it. It's hard to explain but you can join and leave games at will, and they are in a separate lobby but there are no lobby screens really. There is basically just one screen and you gotta hit a button to move past it and join a game.

Frankly, I haven't let my PS4 turned on overnight to make money in like...6 months more or less.

 

Again, once you have your nightclub fully equipped with all most lucrative business accruing goods, on top of having a fully equipped Bunker producing guns, it's not really necessary to grind for cash at all.

 

The problem was dealing with the mountain to get here, but once we reach the summit, we can effectively retire from grinding.

 

BTW rubber band on analog sticks is a nice way to get you analog stick...stuck. Plug in your controller to your console and then go watch TV during a contact mission if you have to, be smart with long-term wear and tear, PS4 components aren't exactly cheap.

I "grind" while I sleep so I can enjoy the game when I'm awake.

I also don't consider it grinding because it is neither tedious or oppressive considering I'm off in dream land.

And as for the electric bill, The sun shines bright enough to cover all my electric needs
