I'm now curious about this "flamethrower hint." Last I remember we talked about any hint to a flamethrower was the Coil Arms Division Cap.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how much speculation derives from very old leaks? Weren't there files for a flamethrower and chainsaw found years ago in the code for GTA5?

To a point, but you'd still be facing AI. The only play you have is knowing when to split or stay as betting is sorely limited.

This is a video game and this is fake money, you don't have to worry about saving money for retirement, you definitely are not making funds for your fake children, so as long as you have about 8 million in the bank you will have enough money to buy anything you want in the game(minus the Luxor Deluxe, but that is a worthless one-time purchase anyway)...I usually keep myself at 10 million just because I like the number.

 

Once you get to the end game, hoarding money is useless.

Until DLCs stop, I will always hoard money for insurance tbh. It also is sort of like retirement. Make your money whichever way to want for the future updates so when they come you are always prepared to get what you want no hassle. At least that's the way I see it. If I overestimated in the end, oh well. That just means I'll always have money then. Not a bad thing. :shrug:

I wouldn't know too much about that. However seeing as they've been using cut content for updates I suppose it's not out of the question.

I don't know who would bitch but they'd be dumb af, excuse my french. Idk, its a method that may work for some but not all. It doesnt matter what is coming, how good the dlc is, for me the dripfeeding still turns me off to where i eventually only log in to get and experience what Ive been waiting for when it finally drops. It doesnt keep me playing until its all over.

 

I know in the past, dropping everything at once kept me interested for a looong time. It's the funnest feeling when all of your favorite stuff drops at once and you cant wait enjoy everything and personally, I always remember it as a very fun experience in the long term. vs "oh look a car i want! OH NO its not available until 2 months" that sh*t gets old fast. Maybe this isnt true for everyone but the game is 6 years old bud. at this point there will always be people who want more

Amen bro. I like the freedom of just grabbing a streetcar n modding it just to cruise around then dumping it when done. Something i would consider sacrilege years ago. Being insulated from grinding is the thing that made me enjoy the game again. Playing content because you want to regardless of the payout is priceless imo.

This is exactly Rockstar goal my friend. You are doing exactly what they want you to do. Sure, it's different for you because you have savings....

 

But the average casual? A once every week log in kinda guy is the kinda guy who is gonna buy a Shark Card for that nice new car that he can't afford because he hasn't logged in all week.

That's so sad lol. I can see how that works though. Well. If we do get a 6 month dripfeed. I'll likely be on hiatus from late August to December. So maybe then I can experience all of the later drip at once.

What are they gonna be dripfeeding in the last two months? I mean I see 4 months of actual dripfed content. What is the rest going to be liveries?

For all I know they could drip anything. Wouldn't surprise me after how they managed to spread after hours out. livery... week skip... another livery... week skip... car... livery... week skip. LOL. When I saw that they were dripfeeding liveries and site updates with tired dusty old cars like the serrano and habanera i laughed my ass off

I mean, there are still thousands of cars they could make. Easy dripfeed content there. Millions of different graphic t shirts. Adversary Modes set inside the Casino. Etc etc.

They'll probably dripfed Benny rims to be unlocked at LSC for every car... Which would be worth the wait imo. But they probably won't.  Liveries liveries everywhere.

I just hope day one content is really good. Obviously access to the casino and resort will be really exciting.

 

I can see it now though. Maybe something nice like a new rolls day one. see DBS Superleggera in the dripfeed, find out its coming October. Cry inside.

Yeah, that's going to happen when they have managed to make about 50 of each of those in 6 years. If they actually had the ambition to make stuff like clothes, cars, hairstyles etc they would've put out tons of those during the first year or two. Then maybe I would've bothered to play it after Heists.

This. Would be nice if they added new wheels every update from the new cars too. I still cant believe I have to use some ridiculous iFruit glitch just to paint some god damn stock wheels.

Long as they dripfeed some decent cars likewise as the highlights of past updates, it'll keep me hyped.

 

As with the Patriot relative to it's Stretch variant in After Hours, they could keep players mildly interested through updating new modifications for existing vehicles.

Since golf is a more niche sport than billiards? And the issue goes from this simple things to more complex things, like nightclubs...don't yuo think that they knew that we were expecting content similar to what tbogt gave us? But they chose no to do, bcz, again, i think they didn't had time to prepare a major dlc while they were so busy with RDR 2, if so, maybe would be better keep the dlc in the "development section". And i don't agree that "if previous tltle A have this, title B don't need to have", i mean, sure...if are minor things, not really, but restaurants open in IV and closed in V, why? This factor is about immersive game experience. I don't know if they choose not to do or it's just a lapse that take place in the "this-we-can't-forget-to-put-in-the-game" list.

or just don't project your expectations onto something unreleased.  just because some mechanic was in a previous game does not mean it will be in a future title.

Well, you have low expectations then. Anyway, I couldn't care less because I haven't spent one cent on GTA:O so I'm not their target audience.

 

I just wish they would've added all the vehicles to the single player.
