Yuuup, exactly what I'm sayin. Respect to those who grind a lot or have figured out really good ways to make money. I've done it for years and well, let's just say I'd be a far more critical/bitchy person if I still did it because then I'd really want my moneys worth with these updates

I know what you meant, I was just saying "grinding" only exists if you want it to. I've never grinded anything in game, still have everything I could ever want. I've tried to explain it before but nobody gets it.

I mean the grind is optional as the paying for shark card is. I don't have nothing against people who buy them if they don't have time to grind or simply can't be bothered with sh*tty pay outs and can afford it more power to them.

I expect a similar trend as Arena Wars. 90 days of dripfeeding cars, then after that smaller additions, adversary modes, new jobs, etc.

 

But that's just my prediction.

Lol this is what I mean. There is a third option. No shark cards, no grinding. (No cheating either, I guess that's a fourth option).

 

I just play whatever I enjoy, and when the update rolls around I find I have plenty of money for whatever I want. 

 

Regardless, I shouldn't have brought it up. It's off topic tbh.

But tbf you're always close to broke, and think fuel injection was created by the devil lol. I stopped grinding years ago. I just play what seems fun n brings me joy, but im also 'Independantly Wealthy' ;) But i did grind over 700M over 3 years to the point where getting prepared for dlcs started seeming like a job.

I share the same point of view.

 

This is a video game and this is fake money, you don't have to worry about saving money for retirement, you definitely are not making funds for your fake children, so as long as you have about 8 million in the bank you will have enough money to buy anything you want in the game(minus the Luxor Deluxe, but that is a worthless one-time purchase anyway)...I usually keep myself at 10 million just because I like the number.

 

Once you get to the end game, hoarding money is useless.

Even worse is when you're expecting your dreamed car to come in the next day, only to find out that R* has decided to skip a week.

 

It's like having your car stolen or something like that.

I like the idea, but the level of finessing needed would require adjusting the entire exchange code if there isn't already a code implemented that differentiates the currencies when spent. It's easy to mark the currencies when earned, but when spent how does the game know which to use. You are effectively talking three lines of code to check before and action is taken. Not the most complex of tasks but a bollox to implement if not already set up.

Nah I’d see this if they renamed the casino to get lucky ( and it had different name now) but getting rid of the luck means drip feed like a leaky faucet

Nah.. because if they go back to that people once will go and start bitching on their feeds saying they're bored already and want more DLC. That's the main reason they started doing dripfed content on the first place. So that they can release every thing little by little instead of having them release everything then have to deal with the whole I want new dlc mob.

Example of this were the heist and the first Ill gotten gains update. Heist took about 2 years they put everything and the week after it was released the were people bitching for new dlc. Lol

Not all people of course but the majority of people who had an account at RSC was bugging them for new DLC a week after they release content. Majority of GTA players used the RSC while a minority portion of the players would not bitch and whine and were or still are members of third party forums like this one neogaf gamefaqs ign etc.

The game stats literally itemize every dollar you've made/spent. Isolating sharkcard cash would still be easier than building a whole new type of currency. Not sayin it would be super easy, but definitely doable. Plus if theres a whole new currency it wont push sharks. Ppl will simply grind for casino chips, while their bank account is untouched. R* wants you broke so when dripfeeds drop you gotta buy sharks to get shiny stuff.

R* always gives little hints of the next DLC with content in every update, I predicted we’d finally get the casino next once I saw the Arena Wheel in the spectator booth. Too obvious they were testing out casino stuff. 

 

Now that leads me to the next hint I haven’t seen many people talk about yet - new weapons. I’m gonna call it now and say we’re getting the flamethrower, something like Elon Musk’s “Not-A-Flamethrower” in real life.

True and while I'd appreciate  seperation of monies, there is little need of it. Legally R* have been very clever and don't really need  seperation of monies (although implementing one would at least give a little extra protection). IMO I don't see the rate of Shark card purchases changing beyond the usual spikes when new content drops. The casino won't change the dynamic  overall, even for the lucky few and card sales will remain largely as is. The game at large already seems to bankrupt players as it is. The casino will amount to little more than a more readily available discount on everything for the luck few and an overpriced office on the other.

hey, I think the amount of GTA$ you get per price point should definitely be increased, and I think the balance for grinders has much to be improved, you can't really compare the two because at this point T2 shareholders expect content updates to continue, the updates increase player count and in turn increase virtual currency sales just by virtue of existence

but for real I am done with this, it is way off topic

If we're going by this. Then let's talk about from where it all started which was in old gen when people made prediction about the casino because of the coming soon banner. The same way the jet pack was predicted because of the painting at mt chilliad. Speaking of that I kinda miss those videos of the jet pack hunters lol

I can't remember who said it in here so I apologise. Based on what has been posted this a redemption of After Hours. I think by the time Rockstar saw the potential in Nightclubs based on wishlisting and the feedback the update received, it was too late as everything was complete (soundtracks, mocaps, designs etc.). I believe the Casino will be exactly what people dreamed the Nightclub will be a true social Place with RPG elements

I went back and played GTA SA the other day and hit the Casinos. As fun as it was, I lost about 65m (maxuim bets) playing Roulette, slots, video poker, Blackjack and the hardest of all Wheel of Fortune. Let's just say the cap for GTAO casino needs to be no more than 100k or else we are going to have some problems. 

Unlimited is fine. Considering the relatively new PVP dynamic, there is less bias and more scope to win if you know how to play poker (the others were always heavily bias by design)
