It doesn't matter since Rockstar has never stated what brand represents what brand in real life, they can put an RX7 and brand it as a Dinka, it would not matter.

Don't start with that. In general Rockstar keeps it consistent with the brands. None of that "rockstar hasnt set what x is supposed to be" mumble jumble has any ground. The fact is a cadillac concept should not be badged as a bmw (hell iirc it used to have pfister badges). Period. Get over that fact.

Nobody worth their salt stops paying attention, they generally do it with crappy cars, Jester being an exception. Still puzzling, it does nothing but make them look like they don't know what they're doing. The whole "its their universe so whatever flies" thing can't really cover up the fact that they're inconsistent. If we got a 488 and they badged it as a pegassi, and it was like 90% ferrari, that would just be wrong wouldn't it?

 

Luckily with the past few updates outside of the jester that hasnt happened too much. If this update isnt like After Hours II, then Im sure we'll get a lot of new cars and well... Im sure one car will be badged stupid. I just hope its a car I wouldnt like anyway like the revolter.

It does matter, what's the point of R* making fictional ingame brands that are obvious analogues to real ones if they're going to disregard them anyway and brand cars at random then? Like, what's the point of going the extra mile then?

 

These kind of details do help to make the game world more believable and inmersive, even moreso when it's supposed to be a reflection and a parody of our own, so yeah, it's kind of jarring seeing an obviously Cadillac inspired vehicle branded as something else instead of the ingame Cadillac analogue.

A decent amount of people watching this thread right now. Nice. 

 

This is an obvious statement, but I'm confident that we will get more oft-requested vehicles with the casinos. If you think about it, various vehicle types can be associated with the gambling life style, so I expect a good variety of stuff. And frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if we get another meme vehicle too.

The Kuruma is partly based off the current Subaru Imprezza WRX STI, and apparently Karin is partially based off of Subaru. I get what you are saying, but the Jester Classic and the Contender have it worse if you ask me.

The kuruma looks more of an Evo X than an imprezza wrx sti. 

 

Edit it was an Evo X not 9 my mistake.

 

 

Also Kuruma should've been a Maibatsu but then again rockstar logic. 

 

I mean they have an Acura Under dinka and the Supra needs to be a Karin but is under dinka. 

 

 

And neither of the Jester are related to each other at all but hey rockstar logic.

With some exceptions i dont like bmws design in general, specially after 2015-16. The only recent bmw i really find good looking is the m8 coupe and thats it.

What if we get new missions based on jacking armored trucks in the lobby. You have to launch it from  the new casino business/building/etc. and then it spawns an armored truck to capture. Reward is in three levels, similar to selling cars in IE. They make it somewhat hard to get the armored truck and different missions have you getting attacked by police, gangs, merrywether. You have to get the vehicle back to the casino in order to cash in. It could work opposite to IE in that regard. pay scale/profit would be 35/50/80 or something similar. It would probably have a certain wait period before launching again.
