No, and I don't expect anyone else to do the same thing.

 

I think that R* can and should strike a balance between things that flesh out the game world and setting and things that are profitable for them, instead of just trying to hyper monetize everything.

 

Hell, some pages ago, I've expressed how it didn't made any sense to make us buy a Facility to launch The Doomsday Heist, not only it's a poor attempt to hide an obvious paywall, it also doesn't make any sense to litter the map with govt underground Facilities that the player somehow can adquire.

 

It's the same with After Hours, they could have made Tequi-La-La, Bahamas Mamas and Split Sides West open to the public while letting us set up our own Nightclubs but nope.

 

Arena War is the same, we pay to be able to mod our Arena Contenders there even when LSC, Benny's, our Office Garages, the MOC and the Avenger are already a thing.

 

Like c'mon, can't they just add something meaningful to the game without expecting it to sell like pancakes like once? This game has so many paywalls, it would make Trump proud.

and afaik the background script doesn´t affect SP.

Sounds cool, but not sure how a casino in game will work legaly? Why? because you can buy GTA money this makes it real gambling. Red Dead has poker yeah but you can not buy the currency used and you cant bet the gold bars.

Ok I guess they could add a new currency you can not buy with real world cash?

Also will this be allowed in every country with Red Dead I heard that in some places poker was not availiable.

It is less likely to arrive on June 27th/June 25th, keep in mind the changes will stop by the time we reach June 27th so that could be a release date.

However, for me personally, I'm sure it's gonna be early July but I could be wrong.

Would be funny if we will have the same story as we have with RedDeadOnline: Poker is not allowed in several countries. Same can happen with GTAO dlc.

Last time was Doomsday, which was pretty unexpected as well.

 

This update with it's reveal being executed the way it is, makes me feel like it's gonna be the most game changing update we've had since Heists. 

 

The Arena War Wheel was soooooo a test for more Casino games. I am sure of it.
