I'm not worried about the theme at all tbh, all I want at this point are some really good cars. Some luxury sh*t. Ill-Gotten Gains did it well with their focus on the kind of sh*t that really fits LA. Like, sometimes I think they forget the setting is Los Angeles. Beverly Hills, Hollywood. Big luxury land yachts, very expensive vintage legends. I mean, sure ugly ass overdesigned concept-based hypers sell shark cards. So would a Rolls Royce truck. Another 60's italian V12 masterpiece? A Bentley? I mean come on. And it's like they go out of their way to avoid doing an Aventador. Murcielago, Huracan, Diablo, Countach, Miura, Veneno, that ugly ass concept V12, etc. Aventador though? Where is it?

I'm not even picky. It can be an simple Aventador, or an roadster, or an SV, or an S, or an SVJ, or an SVJ roadster, or an J, or an SC18...

 

Really, any Aventador will work for me. I'd buy at day-one :)

Yeah, also surely would love to see more limos if we go with the luxury theme, especially with functional additions for passengers in the back like some of the luxury planes and helis. Shame they missed that out with the Patriot limo. They could make an Glendale Limo (already mostly done with the Bruiser monster truck) or even the regular version of the armored limo.(it already existed like that in GTAIV)

 

It's the little things that make this game great.

 

Btw, they done the Diablo and Countach, not sure about others.(don't pay that much attention to certain models)

But the covered cars are still the same cars underneath, or are they a separate prop in the game? Also it is possible to stand on the stairs and see more or less all 20 cars in the office garage, so?

 

I'd settle for a dozen or so separate pegaus warehouses.

But... the thing with the 20 car garages is you can see all cars from one angle if you want. Annnd I don't really notice any fluid issues walking around my 20 car garages.

 

If there's performance problems that really exist okay are we gonna act like Rockstar isn't a billion dollar company with a lot of things are difficult to code, but not impossible. Not trying to sound entitled because I'm not really caring for a 20+ garage but it's kind of an excuse.

Played for the first time in ages a little while ago. Just came on to get some generic clips for possible videos, but of course I get dragged into things. Passive poppers, EWO being spammed as much as it ever has, the usual vehicles (or rather, vehicle). Yeah, the game needs cleaning up.

I understand about game limitations, they could make those 100 spaces divided up between 5 floors and I'd be fine with that. I just want a huge consolidated garage area, or even just a huge amount of garage space spread about.

That could work too, although the reason why I suggested a way to change between Assault Rifle and Grenade Launcher modes is for balancing purposes.

 

Take COD for example, when you pick an M16 with a noobtube, you just can't fire the noobtube instantly without having to switch to it first, making you vulnerable to gunfire in the process.

 

Oh, and I almost forgot, grenades as a whole need to be nerfed, how a grenade launcher does as much damage as the RPG is beyond me.

Pls no YESS lmao, that would cost me millions. Just like how the Schlagen could be turned into an AMG GT, S (prefacelift or facelift), C, GTR, GT3/4.

 

If they did that with an Aventador I'd be livid. I have two Infernus Classics, a Torero, a Toros and a Tempesta and that Lambo collection is just begging for an Aventador. I sold all but two of my Schlagens but the Aventador... I'd keep all variants 😂

I just don’t know why they can’t make a newswire post saying why they haven’t updated the game in half a year. I mean yeah we can assume it’s because of RDR, but a lot of GTA players don’t play that. I mean with the amount of players and to just go basically ghost after updating almost every 3 ish months for 5 years is odd. Epic could never pull that sh*t with Fortnite idk why R* thinks they can.

Bruh did you just compare epic with r* lol

Besides i agree they would have atleast tweeted that we will be giving 2 dlcs a year or maybe atleast give us some roadmap on what we can expect or when we can expect.

And not everyone has console so rdr2 is out of question.

I’m not saying Epic is the best but at least they keep sh*t updated better. I don’t f*ck with Fortnite but you don’t see the fans of that game on a forum for months wondering for months where the DLC is because the devs have communication problems. That was my point. Lol. And yeah they could literally say “sorry we’ve been working on other projects” but nah just ghosted. An entire fan base besides a few half ass missions here and there and a newswire saying “2x whatever” and that’s when they remember to post it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They also should fix explosion range cause right now you take 100% damage, doesn't even matter if you're in the center or at the edge. All they need is change 1 number in the code and the game would work just like GTA4

But theres a reason you don't see them all at once from the start. They don't load them at the same time when you enter. It's a little trick they use so interiors can load faster (especially on consoles). 

Thats means when you enter your garage you don't have to wait for 20 vehicles to load in, You just wait for 5-10 cars and the game has extra time to load other models one by one while you go up the stairs for the first time. 

For example thats why when you enter your hangar sometimes your aircrafts will load one by one even after you entered. Its the same method they used before but this time they just couldn't hide it behind extra floors.

So in other words they could make 20 car garages with one floor but:
- you would have to wait longer before everything loads properly
- you will enter empty room and see cars pop up out of nowhere one by one (and R* doesn't like to do that. "It breaks immersion" according to them. Thats why when you call your personal vehicle it always spawn behind you so you don't see it)

Rockstar is always silent, we literally are made to feel this way for anything they make. We felt this way about GTA V news silence before it launched. Made to feel like this around updates. RDR, etc.

 

It's a marketing "strategy" and honest it's gone stale if you ask me. Gone are the days where everyone loves everything they do. Even if they have been improving (and if you ask me they have as a huge prior GTA V complainer) their reputation is tarnished and all you ever see normal people saying outside of this niche forum is "who plays this anymore?" "why cant yall just add [insert something very simple and hugely requested that we still for some undisclosed reason don't have]" "im tired of this" and the only ones arguing against them and their huge upvotes are niche gamers who think everyone is a diehard fan/forumer.

 

I value secrecy and hype building when it's reasonable. Rockstar pretty much pushes the envelope and they should know better. Too much hype building and silence = disappointment. There is a point where it peaks and then it takes a hard dip when we finally know what we're getting or get it. It could be excellent but the huge wait has made it "just okay"

 

I don't know. It's like they just don't get that. Waiting can either be beneficial or harmful. Wait a bit. Get what you want, it's an excellent and fun experience. Wait a lot. Get that same thing and it's a mediocre experience. It gets to the point where the content doesn't even matter until the campaign is over and done with.

 

Tell me why I have enjoyed the content in the game right now way more than when it first came out? Because now it's just there. Theres no bullsh*t, no waiting. The hype and disapointment surrounding the update and stretched out dripfeed is gone and I can finally just hop on and play. Around launch I wait to get what I want, often cases if the dripfeed is too long I forget about the game til the car or gun or etc launches. Then Im like this is it? Months later after I had lost interest, forgot GTAO existed, after all is said and done and I return, I finally enjoy it more. Had the news been there, had the wait not been excessive, had the dripfeed not be excessive, my hype would've extended to launch day, Id be as satisfied as I should be, Id stay interested for the dripfeed and it would just be smooth ans engaging. But they just like to make it hard.

I just don’t think they can pull they “silence” thing anymore.  Like you said. I know it’s a marketing strategy. I don’t even think they need a “marketing strategy” with their track record, I mean can you name a bad rockstar game? But I REALLY see no point in being silent about a update though, especially when you kept updating for years. Then when a new title comes out(that has nothing to do with the former title) you say nothing about it. Even when they promised to update both side by side, that’s a joke.

They also should fix explosion range cause right now you take 100% damage, doesn't even matter if you're in the center or at the edge. All they need is change 1 number in the code and the game would work just like GTA4 

yeah, all they need to do is set:  <bUseDistanceDamageCalc value="false" />  to true

As a modder I looked into GTA 4 explosion.dat file and GTA 5 explosion.meta file and saw something really shocking!


In GTA 4 a RPG did a max of 500 damage at the center and 50 minimum when farthest away from the explosion (the edge) but still being able to be hit. The total explosion radius is 8

In GTA 5 a RPG does the EXACT same amount of damage as the GTA 4 RPG along with MANY other explosions (except the maximum radius is 5 instead of 8 now however) which no matter how much I turned down the "on edge" damage it still did the maximum damage. I later found out if you were to check another explosion.meta file you would see that for the firework launcher (something that uses the "GTA 4" style explosion damage) has the one line of code at the bottom that the RPG didn't have... "UseDistanceCalc = true" something COMPLETELY missing for the RPG. Legit all I did was add the same exact same line into the RPG thread and booted up GTA 5 and just like that the explosions worked just like they did in GTA 4

It's so aggravating how such an important feature to me was removed because of one line of code "missing"...

A burst fire rifle would be sweet, I agree.

 

Also, it's not like burst fire weapons are impossible in the game, I mean, the AP Pistol in the rappel section of "Three's Company" fires in burst fire:

Yea i get your point other developers are better in terms of communicating with their fan base, but here r* doesn't do that, it's gonna start hurting them sooner or later.

If the next DLC is supposed to generate "extra" excitement and the "plus" event finishes on 26 June, I think we could speculate for a E3 announcement... Maybe on the Xbox event.
