Not really. If it wasn't for what we've heard from fun, given the state of the game and the lack of communication from rockstar, you'd have to be very optimistic to think we WERE getting anything else.

They confirmed it themselves, it's not a surprise because if R* was ever planning to stop updating GTAO, they can just officially announce it.

Well they can but the question is would they. They announced DLC's for SP way back then on last gen and that never happened, not even an official statement on, they just pretended like it didn't happen.

I did think about mentioning that, but tbh I don't think it counts for anything. The feedback site already existed, and we all know they pick and choose what they do with the feedback, we don't know for sure that they listen to any. As I see it, they re-did the feedback site for rdr, then thought that they might as well copy and paste it to gta, which they literally did because some of the text was about that game and not gta, I'm not even sure if they've fixed it yet.

 

Even if they did decide to be more interested than usual in feedback, I wouldn't say that, that is really why they asked for it anyway. They knew we were expecting a March update, and short of that they gave us something else to focus on/distract us with. They've done it before when they know they won't be delivering what is expected.

 

I seriously doubt they will ever announce the end of updates when they stop, unless it's to entice us into buying a new product, eg when they told us LG updates would end so we'd buy the game again for CG.

The way I see it, the updates stop either when GTA 6 gets announced or, more plausible, when it actually launches

Perhaps. On the other hand they might want to rest the format for a while, a few years even? They could put out a Bond movie every year or so, but they choose to make it 4 or so years between each one.

Let's say next update doesn't have some of the big requested tweaks, and even has vehicles more obnoxious than current ones - I can't really decide what to do. I mean, I'm not playing much if that's the case regardless - but should I buy said vehicle to make videos bitching about it? Not sure I'd want to add to any figures of it being bought. Never bought the MKII myself.

 

It'd be really good if it made the game more fun to play. Lately the idea of flying my Hunter around has been appealing to me - but I just remember other stuff and, meh, not spending hours dealing with crap.

Yeah didn't have the Mk2 until today and surely can see the benefits of it in combination with the Terrobyte when it comes to grinding money. Didn't really care much for it but gave it a go with the discount.

I can't bring myself to ever buy it. It smells as well.

 

I might buy a future goofy vehicle just to make videos complaining about it, or even ones making fun of it. Probably not though, just don't want to add to any figures of its sales or anything.

 

Hopefully the decision is made easier by there not being future vehicles like it.

That’s what I’ve always said but today I got gridded by a level 54 on a mk 2 why doing cargo and he didn’t kill me but it was repetitive getting out of the car killing him

What do we think the likelihood of us getting an "Arena Wars Pt. 2" dlc is? I havent played any AW modes since like January or February so I'd like to sell some of my vehicles to save more money for the next update. But if theres a chance we could get a part 2 I may hold on to them a little while longer

0. I don't see why we'd get a part II of anything save for After Hours. Even though that one kind of came and went too. Arena Wars, I just don't see why they would continue that.

Of it being the next dlc, I'd say zero. The leakers have been saying people will be excited, and AW was kind of hit or miss on the forum as far as I can tell.

 

Probably more something like tuners, or casinos, or mansions - something that had some kind of attention before. My gut says not an aircraft update, I feel like the leakers would've fed that hype to me if it was.

So Rockstar have released about 19 classic premium races from 63 land races, so there's 44 premium races left assuming R* made a premium race of every classic race.

However, I don't think that's the case. The reason why is because we are already in June, so not much time left until late June or July which is supposedly when the new DLC is to be released.

The recent "qabeta2" update is weird because I remember them updating it when they released the first classic premium race, and that race had new creator variables for the next update, in other words the premium race was built with the "qabeta2" version which should be 1.47 Title update.

R* didn't do the same thing with Simeon Repo missions and Missile Base Adv modes, that's why there was no trace of any of the new creator variables simply because R* found out about it and it's typical for them to remove anything that result in a leak.

The question is why would R* create more new jobs that could potentially result in further leaks ?

What I think is happening, is that R* made a limited amount of classic premium races with the intention to stop them shall we reach the next update release week.

As it turns out, the release date or month was pushed back (July?), and so they had to create more classic premium races to keep us occupied.

I mean, I could be totally wrong, and we would get actual new missions or more variants of Missile Base.

The thought of them going through June giving us basic sh*t to occupy our time while they still cant even give us our damn money from owning businesses would be terrible. A July release? 7 months no real new DLC? Just seems a bit wrong, especially for them to pull this sh*t again after last year. You've got a huge portion of your playerbase on summer break and you wanna release an update towards the last quarter of it? I really hope it's still June, otherwise these mofos more incompetent than I thought, game development is not a walk in the park but come tf on.

The biggest issue right now is the exact same one we were having last year at this point.

 

To Rockstars Community Ninja's;

 

We don't mind having to wait for a DLC, delays and all, so long as we have even the slightest confirmation that one is coming within a certain period of time. It doesn't even have to be about the content of the update itself, if there was a Newswire this Thursday about any/all the feedback you guys plan on implementing since updating the feedback system, that would generate more than enough excitment within the community alone to start bringing back any players who mave have stopped playing because of any particular issues you might work on fixing. Because given how long we've been waiting for any kind of update on the status of GTA Online since the Feedback System Update, I'm low-key expecting an update that could almost be classed as the Version 2.0 Update that fixes a laundry list of problems plauging the game and also adds some of the most requested features.

I mean i can understand the reasons last year as they were prepping for rdr2 release, plus they did give us dlc last march. 

This year they had 6 months to prepare for the next dlc so why the delay again? Doesn't seem right to me.

I am pretty sure the next update is gonna be huge. Like, really huge. GTAO still makes a sh*t ton of money for R* and the only proper reason why we still haven't got anything: They are working on something big.
