I mean RDR2 was clearly built on the core of RDR1 but they made some improvements here and there thanks to GTAV, should have allowed us to go underwater.

As much as I love GTAV's map and the way it's designed, I have to disagree, RDR2's map is ages better, both games have very detailed maps but RDR2's map is bigger and has more stuff going on, more varieties as well, the snow area and New Austin are two completely different areas, add in the swamps near Saint Denis and the forest up west of Van Horn, all that in the same map? yeah I'll take that.

with that being said I think GTAV could use a bit of changes when it comes to weather as well, we have the same old boring weather we have got since they upgraded it with the PS4 release, freaking storymode has better weather than GTAOnline lol.

It boggles my mind how we're still missing a 458/488/F8 or even a bit older like the 430 or 360 ... Especially when you take into consideration that we have 2 consecutive generations of its rival in the game (Vacca and Tempesta).

 

They can just update IV's Turismo and we'll happy.

 

Meanwhile, the folks at Maranello are preparing to lunch yet another mid-engined V8 car tomorrow ...

Both maps are amazing, but I'm more impressed by how each area in GTAV's map offer lots of detail and that map is available in a 2013 game.

The same thing applies to RDR2's map, with the rocks and hidden places inside them, amazing details there.

We are talking about two different games that take place in two different times, so it's kind of invalid to compare them in the first place, but for me GTAV's map in a 2013 game is a masterpiece.

To everyone who got tired of Businesses between Dec 2017-July 2018 but has been desperate for a Naval DLC since, how would you feel if a Naval DLC turns out to be nothing more than a Boat themed update exactly like F&F and Smugglers Run with Arena War priced boats?

 

Now if it's more along the lines of Private Island Mansions Naval Update, my main concern is using them to store Land Vehicles. I mean how do we get them there? Private ferry? If Naval Mansions are more along the lines of Trevor's mystical cut underwater mansion, then I imagine a Bunker Entrance MkII.

 

The ultimate dream though, is that Private Island Mansions are where we can store Doomsday 2 UFO's as the MOC/Avenger/Terrorbyte of the update.

Make us wet, eh? I could dig a naval DLC, especially if it brought the much needed F-14 Tomcat so we can take it to the danger zone and come correct. 

 

I'm flexible at this point... whether it's another car based update, another heist, naval update or even something redundant like AW part 2. All of these possibilities have potential if done right. Hopefully all this extra time will ensure that whatever the theme is, it's done up big and done so with love. Despite the crap payouts, Smugglers Run was an A+ update as far as I'm concerned (good selection of aircraft with authentic and well crafted models). It was a love letter to aviation. If they do the same for boats and naval combat it could be nice..

Same, I'm open to all themes and giving them a shot. If it is a naval DLC then curious what sort of stuff will it bring that blows us out of the water. *ba dum tss*

 

But yeah it would have to make things interesting considering there isn't much to do due the island of Southern San Andreas being pretty much central and surrounded by water with the exception of Alamo Sea (more like a lake)

Something to do with water, interesting. This could mean more heists, submarine base... what cars though? day one cars? I now understand why we will all go broke, lol. Whatever the dlc is, I'm glad R* is using a part of the map that has been rarely touched. (Maybe the hatch comes into play?)

I'm gonna take this from another point of view that the dlc is a more so controversial (for gtaf at least) theme. People complain about anything but more often than not most like it

Always loved all the maps/worlds R* creates. But if I have one complaint, it's that I'd love more interiors we can interact with. Much more, of all sorts. 

 

Shops, cinemas, pool halls, bowling alleys, bars, clubs, casinos, gyms, resturants, everything old, and so much new to the franchise. NPC property to steal from or vandalise, tagging turf if part of a crew would be really cool.

So i doubt it has anything to do with the water @fun 2 was probably wording it like that sarcastically just to tease people. Thirsty and wet could refer to anything dealing with water I mean 75% of the planet is covered in it, hell it could refer to drinking and pool parties sounds like something somebody with a mansion would do if i were to guess idk.

Or he was literally saying it as people say it. "Make you wet" as in, make you excited. I feel like I shouldn't go into further details about why wet and excited are related.

It could be naval dlc, even before Fun's comment I feel like the probability is good. I am torn between a naval and casino type theme for the next dlc. I feel like those both make a lot of sense. But then again I thought mansions in December made sense and we got Arena Wars. So... whats the complete opposite of naval or casino....

I think they held off from releasing a standard ZR380 during Arena War so they could add it later with a tuner style update. They already added the colored headlights and nitros mechanics, so why not. 

 

My bet is still on June.

The next few I see possible could be Naval, Casino and maybe even a Midnight Club based theme before R* starts thinking about wrapping things up.

 

And there's still a lot of the game's elements that could be used. A prime example being the Casino building and it's parking lot; still huge potential for even gameplay changes, being much needed.

I honestly see no signs pointing towards naval other than another generic snoresville military related dlc where anything military and ship related comes into play. July 4th release. I'm sorry, I could not be less excited for a theme. If I saw that title my hype would legit stop and I'd be like "what is gta online again?" and move on. Then again, Arena Wars was such a mediocre concept that I basically did just that and then here comes foxxysnaps leaking ferraris, amgs and lambo trucks... so anything can happen I guess.

As much as I don't want something militarized like a naval dlc, there are certainly worse things that could be added (like another mad max car and alien suit dlc such as Arena Wars 2). Of course that's just my opinion though, I get others would love to see a military naval dlc. I just hope R* is merciful and gives us something more civilian along with the military stuff. After the lack of nice clothes in Arena Wars, I can't bare another dlc containing only tactical gear as clothing.

 

For example, R* could give us nautical themed clothing, would fit well in the theme of a naval dlc.
