Glitch, bug, quirk of the game engine, my point still stands. It's rather obvious that cars shouldn't gaing absurd speeds by driving over curbs. I hate curb boosting with a passion, but I have how these "advanced" handling flags either bog down the performance of good looking vehicles or make them just not fun to drive unless you're hardcore about racing.

 

At first I actually liked the handling flags, at least in concept, because it meant that R* was looking to fix curb boosting. But seeing how they're basically throwing sh*t at a wall and seeing what sticks (I mean, how many handling flags do we have now?) I lost any hope of R* fixing the problem in a competent manner. I'll rather deal with curb boosting nonsense than with crippled cars, thank you.

I honestly don't understand how you guys and gals enjoy driving these cars with suspensions made of Jello, with all due respect.

If curb boosting was eradicated it would kill part of the community in this game... Stunt racers need curb boosting to be able to go through tubes and wallrides without falling and exploding. In regards to the second part, well the Itali GTO without flags is much slower than the Pariah so I ju-

Uh nah we're just saying it means nothing really for most people. I sure as hell wont use it, whoever does more power to them I have nothing against them but I personally could not care less unless they add vehicles. Otherwise same exact thing as waiting for the big update. No change essentially.

The very same community that complained when R* removed bike gliding from the game to the point that R* brought it back, to the detriment of any casual racer in Bike Stunt Races, right.

 

It's like the so called "grinders" that don't want the you-know-what-vehicle nerfed because it makes grinding a breeze, the rest of the playerbase be damned.

 

It's outright selfish not wanting a broken feature fixed just because it benefits you in some way or another.

I love my Itali GTO especially as a GT car (grand tourer) but that thing is pretty retarded on uneven roads it just should not be like that, sorry. The F12/812 aint no race car either but at least it can handle hard driving even in rough terrain. This thing? Lol take out to the shops and look good. Speed as long as the roads smooth otherwise better slow ur ass down. GTO has O in the name for racing and so it needs to deliver.

No, I understand your concerns. A few adversary modes provide fun content while others suck but take a look at this upcoming update from a different point of view.

See it like this:

It is 100% confirmed that we are getting this update that feature new adversary modes, is it better to cancel it and just wait for the summer update ? or try it for a while until we are near the summer update release ?

Be grateful that we are getting a proper update after this upcoming one in like one or two months from now is "my point".

Because just imagine if this next update is in fact the summer update and the proper update is planned for December, that will really suck.

Just because most of the community doesn't like this "for sure coming" update doesn't mean R* must cancel it and deny it from the few people who like to try new adversary modes.

The small percent of the community who like to try adversary modes might enjoy this update. The rest will get their own fair of share with the summer update.

Will we ever get a new bunch of sports bikes? And I don't mean one-seat bikes like the last bunch, good ol' 2-seaters like the bati akuma and hakuchou? It's a growing itch and Rockstar needs to scratch ><

Fun literally told us that the new adversary modes are its own separate update, and we're still getting the summer update after it. It's not going to cancel out the other. I don't get this fuss people are making. 

 

You could simply not play the modes if you wish.

Certain handling flags actually prevent curb boosting so I'd think alot of players would defend it. Especially in the racing community.

Nobody is making a damn fuss we're just stating our thoughts on the small update, which are just that, thoughts. Discussion. Nobody is saying it shouldnt come, I'm happy theyre at least doing anything but all I'm sayin is it aint for me oh well. Just "eh okay, still anxious about big update" there is no fuss...

 

This may come as a big surprise, but some people when they have something negative to say, theyre just stating it. That's it.

Well theres already like 300 adversary jobs to choose from. It would be nice if they could stop counting their money for a moment to come up with some new ideas.

If r* cares enough to add new adversary modes, they need to care enough to add a handful of vehicles for ppl who dont play am's. It wouldn't be hard to throw in some cars n a bike to please the playerbase. Just port some in from gta4 if its too much trouble.

The irony of wanting something changed because it doesn't suit your playstyle, very selfish indeed lol... 🤠

 

How is it selfish for wanting something that has been present in the game since launch to remain as is so that years worth of peoples time spent creating tracks, efforts and dedication don't just become a fleet of errors due to incompatibility? Change lead to the SSASSS update which was in direct conflict with previous massive DLC instalments, namely the Cunning Stunts update so how about let's refrain from making any more drastic changes to the way the game works seeing as we're like 6 years into the life of GTA5 and instead we cross that bridge with GTA6 when it comes seeing as by then we'd be on a clean slate.

 

By the way, finding out which vehicle performs best around a track isn't some kind of secret, you can google it and it's literally the first result js.

If advanced flags were made for racing, then make them exclusive for racing. I dont have slipstream n catchup in freeroam, so I shouldnt have Advanced Flags Cancer either. Plus bikes are for stunting, but no bikes have flags, so how do they benifit stunting?

Whatever it is, I hope it is as liberating in some way as After Hours was and Arena Wars wasn't.

 

Owning an essentially passive income generator, albeit one requiring a quick sale to collect the cha-ching, for the first time elevated the playing experience to that of an actual player, rather than a R* employee being given their orders they had to follow if they wanted to eat at the top table.

 

It's ironic that they made such a show of making RDR2 so immersive and personal, then went back to a boring, generic 'grind to get a rusty tractor' with AW.

 

I'd like to see some DLC at some point that feels in some way as liberating again as AH did, possibly along the lines of property. I love Hangman Ave, Spanish Ave and the Grapeseed dump to name but a few, but can't have any of them until they give me a way of separating my property choices from my vehicle choices.

 

Forcing me into having to consider selling a slice of my collection to own certain low-end property seems to me to be the height of dumbassery, and it's probably way past time to re-jig the property structure to allow multi-tier pricing for each based on a user defined garage selection. if you want a 10-car, you pay for it, regardless of which property it is, rather than locking them to a preset.

 

I get that in the early days that was part of the charm, to work your way up as in RL, but it's 6 years on and we're all rich now so how about you give me the option of installing a nice basement garage in my run-down shack?

Well, it's a update you have to download for the assets, I may not be right about this but 80% it's an actual update for adversary modes.

There are no assets in the current files, no hints towards those adversary modes.

Since it's a client update, we may have a couple of bug fixes and hotfixes. In fact, there's a high chance R* may push all the fixes done via the background script to be part of this actual update.

I'm hoping for some balancing, and for them to fix & balance what the community suggested via their new feedback page.

Personally I'd rather see the arena updated with a few new modes instead of adversaries, but there are a few adv modes I do like so if anything similar with vehicles, could be fun for a spell. We'll see.

 

Never know, might have one/some of the cars found by Fun for the arena too. :)

These 'adversary modes' could really be new Arena modes with some of the cut AW vehicles added.

 

It would also be cool to see some pre-existing modes (Deadline, Beast vs. Slashers, etc) maps inside of the arena.

Opening the arena to other modes would be amazing, but then again look at the other mission creator "$9999 parkour and rp" deadline and slasher with new assets instead of shataros it could be future shock deathbikes and for slasher there are many ways to spice that up with the alien costumes like beast vs slashers or aliens vs beasts aliens could have super speed idk or the raygun.

 

We could see more standard jobs in the future like arena hotring racing and sprint/dirt cars.
