Yeah, atleast it leaves the possibility of being able to transfer stuff from GTAV to VI in terms of online.(However depends to what extent)

 

Considering they Included the RDR1 map(except for Mexico) in RDR2 despite not being used at all throught the whole game except for the very end makes the possibility of LS being included very high.

I am surprised you or anyone else respond to map expansion people any more.  When you look at the detail in maps and that RS can make so much monies on DLC’s that require far less work, well, it is obvious there will be no map expansions.  Like Bogan said, like destroying America, these are piping dreams.

Transfer stuff from V to VI? Well...i would like that, bcz i wouldn't want to do the same as i did before...900-ish hours of gaming, of griding to have what i have now...social life pratically zero. xD Is funny how this game is such an accurate simulator of how we live our lives in this consumistic societies of capitalism. xD Some work like slaves in order to buy things that in fact we don't need. LOL...Not even Cristiano Ronaldo have a fleet of 120 cars like we do in GTA Online! XD But back to the point...i don't know if R* will allow that...it would mean the absence of shark cards sells...it would be cool if they let us transfer our content and progress from V's Online to VI's Online, that could work much better in Rockstar's benefit, but i think they will not implement a continuity of our "character criminal career life" in VI's, probably we will need start from zero, althought i ask R* here to not do so, bcz i don't think i would spend the time i spent in grinding my character in V's Online to do the same in the VI's.

I've already played GTA 3 and Vice City.

I don't want to drive around those maps again. If I did, I'd play those games!

I guess for nostalgia purposes mainly. But in a remasteredd and more accurate version. Due to software limitations GTA 3 and VC couldn't make such realistic cities like they did in IV and V. That's why people would like to see a Miami (Vice City) remastered and more accurate.

I think they really were working on a remaster of IV at one point. At least, that's how I interpret the screenshots from that artist's portfolio years ago. Obviously it got canceled or we'd have heard more by now.

It's simple, all GTA games always focused around these 3 locations(except for GTA London and GTA2), LC,VC and SA. These locations will always be the main focus of a game, however new locations may get added along with it but never as the main focus.

I just want to replay the IV story, as for the next gta I’d like to have LS along with SF and LV added.

That's my point with San Andreas above though.

 

If they do to San Fierro, Las Venturas, Liberty City, and Vice City, like they did with this game for the first 2 chapters of San Andreas/Los Santos etc. It'll be a whole new adventure.

 

Make them more like San Francisco, Miami, New York, and Vegas like this is LA.

 

And give us the whole lot and more one day (as like you, I do want more new locations too ideally).

I understand the nostalgia aspect, however if I can clarify what I mean;

 

I don't want to drive around a place that I've driven around before.

I don't want to fire up GTA 6 and be presented with a remastered Staunton Island.

 

That's all.

 

Anyway - next DLC spec - I severely doubt we'll be getting a map expansion.

If we do, I hope its brand new territory.

You know this thread is dead when you see mods talking about the next GTA title and not directing that talk to it's proper thread. Lol, definitely not complaining, just using it to illustrate what a drought of info we're in right now.

 

Having the 3 HD versions of the OG cities would be cool, but only if they add SF and LV. If it was just SA, VC, and LC that would mean GTA6 would have no addtional original map. That seems kinda chincy IMO, and they added more on top of the existing RDR map. Imagine getting the 3 OG cities plus SF and LV and Yankton and Carcer City. It's the best way to round out and complete the HD iteration of the GTA franchise.

Everything i have researched going back to interviews years ago, i strongly believe they will have San Andreas, LC, and VC in GTA 6 and it will be on PS5. There will be operational airports transporting us between the cities. I dont think a new map expansion will be released for ps4 GTA 5. I think we might get the final part of the smugglers run theme with a naval DLC. Not sure how i feel about that because the sound of the boat engines and boats bouncing off the waves is quite annoying lol. But who knows right could be any number of DLC rumors.... Arena part 2, IE part 2/Crimnals and cops... etc.

Although you can't compare the Liberty City and Vice City from the 3D universe with the HD universe. Seems quite difference cities in fact. The 3D era ones were just pale resemblances that due to software limitations tried their best to look-a-like the real cities.

I think we will get a Massive qol update and a Multi City Map Expansion................When GTA6 drops alongside GTAO 2.0. I think a map expansion, via the airport, is possible, but they're saving it as a selling point for GTA6 with an updated version of RDR2 engine. Coming first to current gen, then later remastered/upgraded for pc, ps5, n future xbox.

Why are people still hanging on to that idea? Would make no sense to hot-glue (or not) an east coast city to a west coast one, even by R*'s standards. It's been 6 years and they're doing really stupid crap instead of adding to the game or properly updating it. Expanding the map would mean that they intend to keep the same exact game running for a lot longer and they can barely keep up with their own code at this point. I want GTAO and all its nonsense to die, so that we can move on to GTA VI that, hopefully, won't get ruined with flying douche mobiles.

So you srsly believe that they will copy the city from GTA V to place it in GTA VI? Even tho everyone is sick of it after all those years of playing gtao? 

Nah man, thats would never happen. I think it's gonna be GTA VI(ce city) and nothing else.

But you're saying that the storyline of our character of gta online could hardly fit in the next gta and the new city? If is also that, i think the opposite! Why not we stay a big boss like we already are and we receive a call from lester or something to expand the bussinesses to another state? There's a lot of plots to explore in order to make a nice story to make the continuity of our progress in gta online "1.0" to "2.0". I would prefer that rather start from the zero with another character...but i dont know if R* will allow that...they may be thinking: "are we going to allow our players characters progression get a continuity in this new gta online, with all the bussinesses and money earned in Los Santos, or will we make them start from scratch in order to sell more shark cards? It's a good idea, but also a risk because maybe the majority of the players dont want start all over again and then we lose players".
