So is RDRO officially out of beta now? Cool, maybe they will start adding descent content finally. My guess would be that this means PC version is on the horizon as well (and by that I mean it will be released later this year)

Knowing R* payouts are so terrible that it can't be even considered as gambling. Or maybe you just unlock discounts like in Arena War...

Alive? I don't think rdro was even born yet... More like undeveloped fetus thats only now starting to hatch. From what I've heard that "beta" was basically like early access with microtransactions build in am I right?

So I kinda feel sorry for all those people who spend days and weeks plaything an empty game and are already totally burned out by it. Its like watching a leaked movie with no CGI, why would anyone do that? if RDR2 was on PC from the start I would definitely avoid online as much as I can until theres something worth checking out.

I don't know, I think GTAO's Passive Mode is better than this, you still take damage from other players even if you turn Defensive Mode on, whereas on Passive Mode it's almost impossible to harm other player without gaming the system.

 

I like that they're making a push against griefing though, that is the mind of attitude that GTAO needs the most.

I don't rly understand what you mean by that. Which part? That they are just starting to update that game? Well I think everyone can agree that this wasn't the last dlc for rdro lol

As of right now the next GTAO update is slated to come in June. July is the absolute latest it will come so don't worry about it being August.

So...they added poker to RDO...so...means they implemented gambling in the game...so...WHICH IS GOING TO BE THE F* EXCUSE TO NOT DO THE SAME AT GTA ONLINE?! I'm a little pissed bcz we've been haunted by the casino being physically in the game with the "opening soon" signpost for 6 years, teasing us...and now, one of the first more important dlc's that RDO ever received have already poker?! Get the f* out of here! This is quite bullsh*t! But now i'm also with renewed hopes for a casino dlc.

Well this was all about the Rockstar policy changes that fun leaked a couple of weeks back. it already was quite clear that they changed the way how RDR2 treats online gambling. If we see a sudden change in the GTAO policy with the same subjects, it's big hint towards future online gaming in GTAO ( Casino DLC, other gambling activities ). I doubt this will happen though, since the currencies are different from eachother.

Calm down... It's a bit different with Red Dead Online since you can only buy Gold Bars through micro transactions, and poker uses dollars as currency

But that isn't yet an excuse...with arena wars we got a little gambling mechanic with the Arena Wheel. You bet money to gain prizes. So, just put another type of currency if they are so concerned about gambling laws issues. Or at least making not possible gamble more than...10.000 GTA $. That would not break down the Visa cards from the parents of the kids.

Guys, i sent 1 minute ago this to Rockstar feedbakc page in the freemode activities section ideas. Here's the text:

 

"Ok...Rockstar...let me put this honestly and straighfoward, you implemented in this latest Read Dead Online update a poker game as a free mode activity, which means you added a gambling system in the game, great, congratulations. But let's make here an hypotesis that you don't have yet (at least) any plans do to something similar in GTA Online...here is where i want ask adn request: which are now the excuses to not doing so because "gambling laws issues"? So, please, give us a Casino DLC."

 

I invite you doing something familiar and put some pressure in R* to give us gta online players one thing that should be in the game long ago.

Of course it is. Do you remember when @Yan2295 made a statement last year? He put RDR2 PC release date somewhere in Q3 2019 afaik.

We're talking about R* here so anything that don't have a real date is mostly delayed, we can't trust him (not saying he's lying, he even said it itself).

That's more something resembling loot boxes, that legislatively-speaking are way different than full-on gambling

RDO getting its update now makes me think that we may be getting GTA Onlines update sometime in early June. I don't see myself going back to RDO even with it going out of beta. Rockstar really killed their success with how they introduced RDO.

Todays premium race is really a good one, i wish i could get anything other than a vagner without the splistream fu** me up but that's ok. I was kinda tired of only straights, nice to have some variety. 

Which you guys think is going to be the next one ?

Hopefully the next GTAO DLC has more random chance wheels like we saw in Arena War. Such an immersive feature, makes my balls tingle with excitement. Easily the most sophisticated and enjoyable part of Arena War, followed closely by sticking a toothpick under my toenail and kicking a wall. It’s just that damn fun.

 

Oh and paywalls too. More of those please.

 

Anyone with legitimate DLC info want some money? I’ll toss some money your way, complete privacy.

now that they released update for RDO... June update for gtao makes more sense now... and in summer they already have another update planned for RDO so there is that
