At this point all bets are off for what the next DLC could be, they seem rather uninspired lately so it's either more content scraped from cancelled SP DLC or something not that major tbh.

Quoting you, that's the problem with the greddiness of R*. You (and almost everybody) be like: "well, 'x' dlc was trash, BUT at least they gave us nice muscle (or any other different car category) cars." ---» [in our subconscious and R* know it] ---» "if we can't have nice dlc's, we need and will be happy with nice cars". Which seems like R* knows that just need give us nice cars and make low effort in putting good and higly requested dlc's in the game and still they will profit very much with them.

This is the problem with the game now...we are used to get non-requested dlc themes with nice cars that we always want (and even in this department we got f*cked in the ass, bcz we made a step back when R* unoficially closed Benny's). I think R* need make this game going back to it's crime simulator roots. And let me say that i never liked the idea that we have, for example, all of our businesses separated in CEO and MC categories...seems like they aren't unified seems like we have two different personas...in the real life a criminal mogol doesn't have much to do with MC presidency and vice-versa, i think. That's why i always thought that the GTA Online bussinesses should have a similar structure like the one from Vice City Stories...the bussinesses there were unified and you could choose which type to build in that specific location and they got a lot of variations, protection rackets, drugs, smuggling, etc.

P.S.: not to mention the lack of new bikes in the game (and boats, but that needs come along with a naval theme dlc to make sense)...you know...not everyone is a car guy...and i'm talking about more sport bikes not choppers and that kind of vehicles.
P.S.2.: And i never understood why the f*ck there's no bicycle helmets in online like there's in single player and why our bicycles don't have an icon showing in the map neither are they covered by the mors mutual services, if it gets destroyed you need buy another and as far i remember, if you don't park again in the garage they will be gone! WTF!

Haven't played GTA 3 days in a row, last time it was when I was away from my machines, but now I'm mostly playing other games. Really glad that I've bought that wheel, now I'm enjoying F1 2018 and Dirt Rally 2.0 enough not to get back to GTA daily. Even played Horizon IV recently, but that's definitely controller material IMO. At this point I may jump in for something time-limited next week or not, but without something new to spend cash on there's no point to play Online for me. I know it's sad and that shows that there's something wrong with my understanding of the game, but it is what it is.

After some time I'm quite sure we're not getting anything major, and major is something in the Doomsday territory.

Olha um tuga! xD És moderador?! For me if they only came up with a mansion dlc next i would be happy enough.

I don't know what's coming but it's going to have to be a large update, because it's going to have to get us through December. If we're to expect the unexpected, then I don't think it'll be Arena Wars 2, or "tuners," or water-themed or any of the other ideas that keep getting suggested.

 

But I do think that whatever the main theme of the upcoming DLC is, it'll also have a little bit of everything in the dripfeed. With two updates a year, they'll lose people if they focus too narrowly.

Sometimes "less is more"...do you really dont think that ppl would be happy with a dlc that would bring only mansions and some new cars? The problem here is that R* almost any time for the past 6 years gave us players requested dlc themes, but their own ideas of dlc themes. But in truth, i'm very optimistic since the day they opened the feedback page, that can mean that their ideas were all put in use and now they don't know what to do and need our help.

P.S.: For not open another post i will say this in here: I read a lot here about the fact that TDM, LTS and a lot od ADV Modes are like deserts nowadays, and why is the reason for that, i would say it's because we have too much of them and adv modes is the most we have and bcz of that, plus TDM, LTS, etc., not being updated since they came, make new players not even know about those things and also the fact they don't make 2x rp and $ in those things, so people get less will to play them.

I mean, how to blame them? This game has been out for 6 years. Yes, you can expand on already existing mechanics within the game, and even unleash its full potential, but you can only get so far with a 2013 game.

My last comment on Yan and Funs ever insightful "info" was deleted for being more B&M than not which is fair, but seriously, can someone explain to me just exactly how that statement is supposed to be anything worth making a deal out of?

Holy sh*t...Fun must know something...if this is a hint...let's hope for the best bcz we already have the hints of "get excited" by Yan, "expect the unexpected" by Mach1bud and now "save your money for later" by Fun. So, i can dream with a mansion! xD

This hints surely came from a friend of Yan, Yan told him who the insider of R* he needed to talk to, then, they talked, then Yan's friend told her sister, who toke contact with the janitor of R* ceo office, who told his nephew, who told the best friend of Fun and Fun said it to us! It was a perfect scheme to not leak the original leaker name. LOL! (JK ofc).

The hints are hella vague but Im sure once the update grows closer theyll be less vague... hopefully because at this point its basically just "a good thing is coming that will please most ppl" like every other update. As long as its not a repeat of summer 2018... june comes around and nothing... then july and turns out the update has not much at all to buy and so you saved up cash for nothing but a few lackluster cars...

 

But arena wars proved to be way better so hopefully that wont happen!

This is correct. Broughy1322 goes into detail about how it works but the basics are that there is a slight boost to RPM's when the suspension is compressed for any reason. This is why you see some racers constantly driving over the bump strips on the side of courses (curb-boosting).

 

This "increase" can be cumulative in that rapid bumps will increase the speed faster than it would normally decrease.

 

Back before rocket vehicles, I would regularly win the Top Speed Challenge in my Dominator (148mph was not uncommon). And I still win it now in my Pariah (161 mph is my record) using the stretch of road between Tinsel Towers and the Los Santos River.
