No, I'd rather they not have a 2-4 player requirement (or even solo modes) like DDH and rather go back to 4 mandatory players like old heists. The satisfaction of pulling off a well coordinated job increases in the latter case.

You're also missing the point that heists fails if the connection causes your team to be booted.  This isn't really fair.  Forcing heists to be co-op only is a terrible way to do things.  Hence why Arena Wars has been an utter failure of a DLC, among other issues.

Rockstar as a whole is well-known for having quite the passion for music, so it's probable they wouldn't pass up on an opportunity to explore that love a bit more.

They could tweak the nightclub and also add more buildings so we can buy a more run down bar away from the city, maybe with only MC use instead of CEO/VIP.

 

The bars being a place for rock music more instead of dance music. From country to metal too, using up and coming bands IRL and being more just a legit business without the underneath illegal activities (though no objections if we do get another like the club, lol).

 

Pool tables too. :)

Yet the new contact missions we get (Special Vehicle Missions, MOC Missions, Dispatch) ALL require at least 2 people because f*ck people who want to play a mission alone without their random partner deliberately screwing things up.

Yes exactly.  Also, because my connection for whatever reason has been playing up the past week or so, I was grinding dispatch missions, but was constantly having them failed because my whole team "quit" when in reality they were getting booted.  It's so frustrating.

I can kinda see where you're coming from, Panky, but don't forget that the lowered requirement from 4 to 2 players to do the Doomsday Heist prevents a lot of headache: you don't need to spend almost fifteen minutes waiting for the lobby to fill, since you only need a second person or a friend; this also means that having a partner effectively stops the mindnumbing frustration of having to deal with randoms in all their forms of incompetence or ego.

 

Finally, and the most important reason in my opinion, is that one single other person besides the host being needed means that it'll be easier to run this kind of job when the playerbase starts to diminish or your friends lose interest. I love replaying the old heists to death but I only do it about once every three or four months when I can get friends to come along because I absolutely refuse to ever do these again with people I don't know - an issue that is non-existent in Doomsday. I can only wish this requirement was brought down for the original heists and a couple of Lamar missions - and go as far as wish as all Contact/Dispatch missions were soloable.

 

Having low-player requirements or straight-up soloable jobs gives people more choice and extends the life out of missions and entire updates. @White Shark is right when he says that the Arena War update faltered in the absence of solo jobs. At least, in that update, anything could be done with another single person. It seems Rockstar are, at least, sticking to only needing two people from now on.

Just had a look back at Vice City Bloodring, the atmosphere, the game modes, the music, all fantastic, it's a shame Arena Wars didn't capture the same sort of feelings. But Rockstar had to resort too, the need of adding more weaponized and futuristic bullsh*t into the game to promote sharkcard sales, because the whole DLC was another P*ss poor effort. 

Plus the loading times were quicker in those days too.

Well, not really surprised about it. Because even in this short video we can see more details of the car destruction than in the whole Arena wars. I've said it several times already, the mode focused on destruction without visible damages is something that could have been tolerated in the past, not now. With enough imagination I can even imagine myself playing the game instead of actually playing the game, free of bloody charge.

 

Here it is, ladies and gents, the game from 2002:

I wish they could have done even a single one of those solo player arena things like kickstart. Or having a couple races just on dirt bikes like in dirt track. 

 

Finally uses arena, has nothing for solo players yet again :(

The dirt pen for horses.. Behind the casino...is a great place for dirt ring and you have 2 - 4 runners in there as well! Did this in a freemode and it was quite fun trying to dodge 4 or 5 cars! Great stuff.. Give the runners Up-N-Atomizers for total craziness

The kids won't like this! Where the weaponized and futuristic crap which is what GTA Online is all about these days. I'm glad like some many, that we experienced, Grand Theft Auto, and Rockstar's work, when it was truly at it's best, good times and memories. 

 

As for Online I remember when a guy in a Zentorno was the biggest threat.

A otel room in the casino would be the perfect paywall. Add in extensive customization. And it be an instant buy. And it would make sense that multiple players would all have rooms in there. With a somewhat reasonable price. It could be real cool.

Hello, Im new here :D

An Underwater DLC in Online would be great! What do you all think about it? You can find treasures and so.. I always loved the "Underwater World" in GTA V.

Something like in GTA: San Andreas with the gang territory would be nice too.

And Im sure Liberty City and North Yankton will be in GTA Online sometime.

When the first big Update/DLC of this yeahr is coming in GTA Online? What do you all think? I think sometime in this month or May.. I want an new update. I dont like the Arena War DLC but After Hours was great. I want something new to buy and make money with it. I mean the Event Weeks are nice every week but I want something new xD

Having a lower player limit is one of the reasons why I like the DDH better than the old ones. I wish they could be done solo, but obviously that will never happen. A 2-player minimum is always a plus in my book.
