Tier 500 / space docker is 1'272'500 AP (one million +)

Would you make 100 AP per win ? (very optimistic), you would need 12'720 wins (twelve thousand not twelve hundred)

 

Tier 1000 / tractor is 3'772'600  5'045'000 AP....

You'll see Rockstar will somehow make the tractor required to obtain the railgun, the Karin Snipe and the Lost Slamvan.

 

Probably by driving the tractor atop Mount Chiliad on a Halloween themed night from 1:00am to 1:05am and a secret will appear.

 

 

 

With the sarcasm out of the way, that is one ludicrous requirement for a vehicle that goes to a crawling speed. Who knows? Maybe it's Rockstar's new lousy way to detect hackers by watching who obtained it way too early.

Biggest problem with gaining AP is that the only way to get it is from Arena Wars, be it winning or wheel.

 

Imagine if we could only get RP from Adversary modes, and only 100 RP at a time from start.

Or if in a future update, Arena War integrates APs with something else. More Arena War styled games, perhaps. Maybe it won't be the last time we'll see Al Jerome.

 

Maybe eliminate the pointless and obsolete Job Points (JP) we get on missions in favor of Arena Points. Integrating reality television into reality... something stupid that could make sense for the game.

So, after 5+ years of the game being out and constantly updated, and the new consoles to be announced and put on the market sometime between this year and the next, I think it's time to do some predictions about the future of the game. Of course we already know that we are going to receive new updates, it's already been confirmed from Take Two sometime ago, but how are they gonna be? 2018 was already slower and less big for GTA Online, having only 3 updates (only 2 of which to be considered major - After Hours and Arena War), compared to the 4 of 2017, 5 of 2016, and 4 of 2015. Also to consider is the fact that, at least in my opinion, Arena War wasn't really that big. In the end it was a glorified and more detailed and polished Adversary Mode, with lots of new vehicles that were fun but that don't really stand out in comparison to something like the Oppressor Mk II, Deluxo, Terrorbyte or APC. Maybe we're already starting to see a decline in size of updates that will only continue going forward, or maybe it was a thing of 2018 only because of the launch of RDR2, and this year will be at least better than last year. We also have to consider that we are pretty close to the announcement of the next generation of consoles - that will happen sometime between this year and 2020 - so maybe a marketing campaign for GTA VI could be on the horizon. What do you think?

I’d be surprised if GTA VI arrives before 2022. 

 

Even if they released a trailer for it later this year, which would be a stretch, that would mean 2020 at the earliest.

 

My guess is they milk GTA Online for another 2 years or so, and even after updates stop, they’ll still make money. 

 

I would imagine they would give us one sizeable update this year coupled with 1-2 minor ones.

At LSIA, it's written 2021 on many doors

(other doors have 2013 - GTAV on old Gen - or 2014 - GTA on current Gen)

 

Those dates on doors at LSIA have been there since Day #1

@555-We-Tip, you know, I used to hate that idea - of a potential end.

 

However, at this point, I wouldn't mind if a definite point was announced along with a simple notice that they'd just try to fix as many bugs as possible and "close shop". It could even be the occasional content pack with cars, weapons and customization items and I'd still be happy.

 

Thing is, I've played the game to death and did pretty much everything (and I really mean it). I wouldn't mind just being able to settle down and enjoy it at a more casual pace with the great people I've met while playing it and don't worry about anything else. Of course this is still possible, but just not on the same level.

 

This is just my opinion, though. I don't want the game to "die off" faster than needed and I'm aware others still haven't had their wishes fulfilled. I'm just happy with what I got.

Introducing the new Maze Bank Arena Series...

 

But seriously, getting some Adversary Modes inside the Arena that also give AP when winning could be a good way to keep Arena War alive instead of forgotten.

 

Also, Adversary Modes could benefit from a  The Running Man/Smash TV aesthetic instead of being context free set pieces on floating platforms in the sky. R* could even add "live" comentary voice acting to make them stand out and reuse the Arena Wheel somehow too.

We need to get AP points for every kill we get in Arena War.

 

I mean, what's the point of me taking out everyone in Carnage or Wreck It if I'm only going to get 100 AP?

I hope they ad "laser tag" modes including arena survival or other pve arena modes. Give those who dislike pvp a bone for helicarrier sake.

You know what the announcer needs to be?

 

Condescending to larger teams. It's annoying enoguh that people stack teams to ridiculous degrees ("I change team so my new team is larger. Nothing wrong with that!" Buncha idiots)

 

For Bomb Ball example the lines could be:

 

*deadpan voice* "Orange Team scores a goal. Must've been real tough being the larger team."

"Oh wooow, who'd imagine the larger team winning?"

"Purple is putting up a great fight for everyone despite being outnumbered!"

"Purple Team shows strength in skill as opposed to numbers!"

Are those numbers right? Tier 1000 / tractor should be unlocked when you reach a total AP of 5,045,000. That's five million. 

Winning 1,000 AP every 10 minutes (which isn't impossible, but hard to be consistent with) would mean you'd need to play for over 840 hours to reach sponsorship level 1000. 
That's 35 days play time just doing this to get that far... 

Rockstar should reconsider these numbers I think. I understand... they've created something that gives a bit of longevity, but really this is a bit too much.

... And that means it's also a longevity that becomes too much to even bother with for my part, essentially making it quite DOA. So much for that longevity, R*. I'm too old for this grind-type sh*t.

It's not longevity, it's just absurdly stupid amounts of grind for a couple of bonus vehicles

what the f*ck were the game designers thinking, like always, they didn't think this through from the perspective of the player, especially an  average player. Only a true diehard GTA completionist could even think about completing it

I used to think of myself as one of the completionists but the grind is just too much for me.

I know one thing for sure and that's all upcoming are going to get better!! Rockstar shares are constantly going UP⬆️⬆️⬆️ so they have to put out top notch content to keep the ball rolling!! Might I'd say that they're doing a great job with these DLC's ( some I can careless about but you know )! Rockstar is rolling out old and new content.... Theres still plenty of cut content left and there's definitely room to implement more than we could imagine!!! ( DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE THAT SAY THERES NOT ENOUGH MEMORY!!! ITS PLENTY OF MEMORY LEFT.. ENOUGH TO KEEP US ENGAGED UNTIL NEXT GENERATION )

 

To answer your question, GTA 6 will be here wayyyy faster than people think and I'd bet my last dollar that whatever or however they go about it, it's not gonna be too much different from GTA ONLINE!! ( Remember this post and remember I didn't say a thing about GTA V )

 

If you're going to have an idea, think BIG!!! By the time Rockstar is finish with GTA ONLINE CONTENT, you'll be still playing it when the next gen consoles drop!! :whistle:

I just hope they will let us use creator and arena props for other modes then just races. If we could make DM and LTS that give you AP that would be great.

But knowing R* user created content won't give you AP...

Inb4 "Motor Wars 2: Arena Vehicle Boogaloo", or a similar rehash of 'Hunting Pack' where you have to Mad-Max-It from Grapeseed to the Docks in Arena vehicles. 

 

To a different DLC theory: there is still a lot of airspace above southern San Andreas which I think could be used. I don't want to say Yacht-reskinned-as-Helicarrier aerial placements with their expansion to hanger space... but it would be daft not to consider. Maybe Helicarriers would be a first line of defence against a new alien menace. I dunno.

Looking forward to the Schlagen and hope they soon enable so we can remove lamp posts and signs in the creator. If that was what they indented somewhere down the road when having that in the tunables now

With the alien costumes I've lost hope of an alien dlc. The Republican space ranger weapons and up in atomizer are in a grey area on that as well. 

 

The helicarriers I do see being reprised yachts but probably offer more like an additional aircraft storage. As much as we have extra space in our facility for more heists R* doesnt like to give more value to former assets without a paywall inbetween (benny upgrades, cost to make non arena war car an arena war car, etc) so a helicarrier could be the base of operations for an alien series of heists if that is still on the table. And as IAA mercenaries now we have the government backing to get one as well.

Question, I have been studying a lot and have just been coming on to get the sweaters. It seems to me that the event week from god knows how long ago is running for two weeks? Is this the longest event week we have ever had?  I'm so confused about what is going on with GTAO right now.
