What about War Paint for our horses? I think it would add a nice touch and customization for our horses? What about Blacksmith shops?

My idea would be to have a pve/pvp lobby with laws..

In towns,  players killing npcs or players would get a bounty (money) and chased by the "police" npcs..

Bounty money would go up for every player/ npc killed..

Outside of towns.. lawless.. players killing npcs or players receive no bounty and no police..

Crouching/ rest/ sit ... invisible on radar / no name tag... this allows players to hide from conflict if they wish... or... for players to be able to create ambushes on unsuspecting players in the lawless areas..

Depending on the size of the town,  the police can be few in small towns,  and many in bigger towns..

I believe with cost of bounties and being hunted by the police,  would discourage but not prevent many random players killing other players for no reason or griefing in towns... but leaving the "wild west" lawlessness exist in the areas outside of towns where there would be no policing...

Extra thoughts..

I would have it like SP where the players actions can be witnessed and reported before the police get involved.  This would still allow stealthy players to do crimes in towns.

Fist fights would be ignored by the police..

Once a player has a bounty that is at its max value,  then the bounty is displayed to all law abiding players (in the local state) to hunt down... the bounty is only valid in the state that max bounty was received,  meaning if player X has max bounty in say Lemoyen and the player leaves the state,  the bounty will stay in Lemoyen till its paid but will not follow into the next state.

Fences should be closed to law abiding players and unlocked to the lawless players..

Certain shops should be closed to lawless players..

More thoughts..

Modified respawn system.. (pvp actions only- possibly pve also)

Upon death,  player respawns at closest town..

'Tap X to respawn closer..'

We already have a system where tapping X will allow players to respawn faster...

i would change it to respawning closer to the person who killed..

Example..

Player A is killed by player B... if player A does nothing,  they will respawn in closest town..

If player A taps X once,  they will respawn half way between player B and closest town..

Player A taps X twice,  will respawn half way between above point and player B..

Third tap,  respawn to approximately same distance as present ingame..

This allows players killed by other players decide if they wish to retaliate or just flee in peace...

Extra thoughts..

I'll preface this with the fact that im writing this on Christmas night working the graveyard shift at a convenience store... so i may be sleep deprived and delusional in these thoughts..

Small towns could have a system where the police could be run out of town and the town would become lawless..

Basically iit's the hideout system that's already in the game but for small towns using deputies and a sheriff...

so each small town would have a certain amount of deputies and one sheriff... when lawless players attack the town or do crime, they would be attacked by the deputies... if the players survive the attack,  then they would have to take down the sheriff... once they did that,  the town would become lawless... no witnessing and no police for the duration of the time that the lawless players are in the town,  and respawning only once all lawless players leave the town..

Law abiding players could try to clear out the lawless players.. if successful,  returning the town to normal... and in turn, creating a capture the town mini game..

Maybe to keep the game rolling for years, time passes year on year, characters have to adapt to changes, invention of the internal combustion engine and moonshine runs through to gangster run Chicago type settings up to modern day.  Would kind of bring it to the start of GTAO.

If they brought this kind of longevity to the gameplay then I would consider microtransactions possibly worthwhile

Horrible idea. Sorry but play a different game if you don’t want the old west

Cannot wait until cars and motorcycles of the era are added and I can finally abandon these horrendous beasts of burden called horses. It will be fantastic to have transportation that will not leave me to the dogs [literally in the case of wolf attacks] at the first sign of trouble.

This is my wish-list (roughly in order of preference). Number 8 is only half-serious:

1. Rockstar Editor for RDR 2

2. RDR 2 on PC

3. RDR 2 mods in story mode (for RDR 2 on PC)

4. Cottages, mansions and apartments that you can live in (like in GTAO)

5. Cars (based on T-Fords and similar)

6. Simple double-wing planes (á la Wright brothers)

7. Canned R a v i o l i

8. Country-Western style dancing in barns, saloons or dance halls where you can dance with other online players or the NPCs which are in the game. Something like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNqoRPuUPYE

+ can-can and river dance on stage.

 9. More new clothes, for example can-can clothes, shorter dresses, shorter skirts and Daisy Dukes outfits for female online characters.

10. Pool or billiards (as a consequence of the suggested Daisy Dukes outfits) where you can play with other online players or NPCs.

11. More new hairstyles.

12. Survival mode against NPC outlaws

13. A greater variety of food on the menu in saloons.

The DLC I want to be created is the ability to buy apartments in Red Dead online like you would do in GTA Online, specifically in bigger, nicer towns like Black Water or Saint Denis. This would be really helpful for players who don't want to live in a camp in the forest forever, and would rather have a roof over their head in a populated city or town.

(there is something wrong with my computer so I couldn't put any photos in)

Also I think there should be jobs people can do aside from hunting and fishing, like going on quick jobs to deliver something, or delivering  mail.  Also I think there should be careers - something you can get better at that pays better, like working at a factory or working a saloon or general store. Or if you have enough money, you could start a company like you can in GTA online (and make a lot of money and become rich if your company succeeds). Maybe you could run a criminal organization, or start a company that makes cotton, or maybe a shipping company that hires NPCs to deliver goods form place to place on a boat or in a cargo buggy.

Also there should be more to do in Saint Denis - like more saloons, hotels, stores and restaurants.

Hunt or be hunted

Man vs. Beast

Plays like it sounds. Fly like and eagle or prowl as a panther, escaping other hunters on a timed hunt. Escape death or collect as many pelts as you can.

Maybe even the Lawmen/Cornwall Businessmen  in a city map to give players that Outlaw cornered feeling like we got from the SP, but because I fear that R* will do survival the same way as they did it on gta online which was drop 6 and be done. I wish there was a Creator for a mode like this, because it can possibly reduce people begging R* for more maps for their respective modes. Buys time to build what they want, while the fanbase helps build on the game to keep it fresh.

I saw a lot of people talking about a survival mode, and also a lot of player talking about PVE (which I am a part of)

My idea for this, instead of a basic 10 waves/4 players game mode would be an unlimited waves mode something a little bit like COD Zombie mode but allowing up to 7 players (a full posse) maybe solo-4p-7p modes

Actually, we already have a bunch of fortified places designed for the game. We would only need to be able to craft/buy on site, using a little cooldown period between waves. It would also allow to make it quite a competitive pve game mode with a proper world ranking.

First waves would not give a lot, and the loot on ennemis would be poor but it would increase as levels.

Anyone thinking it might have some potential? If it is the case I might open a topic about it.

I agree with this as well. The higher the wave number you survive, the higher the payout is when you and everybody dies. I like the idea of 4p and 7p modes for solo players(Survival Large and Survival) Enemies can consist of Outlaw/Raider Posses, Pinkertons, Local Lawmen, Greys, Braithwaites, Bronte Guards, O'Driscolls, Colonel Fussar's men etc. Possible R*  provided maps would be cities, parts of cities, and other landmarks such as: Armadillo(whole town), Valentine(Whole town), Braithwaite Manor, Shady Belle, Bronte Mansion, Moonshine Still, a section on Guarma(preferably near a coastal section), Fort Mercer, Cornwall Oil Refinery; Annesburg(Whole Town), The Abandoned Church(Lemoyne), etc. Add onto the fact that maybe later down the road an update to create our own Survivals with the R* Creator. which would add longevity to the mode.

If we can get something like this plus the idea of Unlimited Waves/For Higher Rewards and modes separate into Survival Large with 7 players and Survival with 4 Players:

we'd be straight for this mode.

Most likely have been mentioned already but a lot of the story mode features need to be implemented. Trapper who you can sell pelts but also craft clothing. Rob trains, carts and people. But most of all banks. Bounty hunting.

I wouldn't be surprised if we can own saloons in the future, looking at the nightclub dlc in GTA:O.

Sombrero and poncho are two western classics that I miss when it comes to clothes.

Some functional in game text chat system would be nice as well.

One thing I'd really like, is the ability to mark things on your map. Preferably a "paint"-tool that lets you make circles and maybe a few other shapes/symbols as well as write text, in any colors of your choosing. And of course an "erase" tool.

AND, most importantly, that these markings on the map would save and carry over between sessions.

Come to think of it, I've wanted this not only for Red Dead but for any open world game but it'd fit perfectly with Red Dead. Just imagine being able to mark down places for hunting/fishing/where that cougar or panther spawned/other landmarks that are just fun to pinpoint. It could even be used to mark routes etc etc etc.

Simply, like a basic "paint"-tool that would use the original map as template. Then you could also choose to hide/show the different categories or colors, let's say you could use 7 different colors; red, blue, green, cyan, magenta, yellow, white. It would be awesome to have a stylized map of your own choosing!

I dont know if cars would be such a good idea. Only if they could run out of gas.

1) I want a voice!  4-5 to pick from.  Just a simple way of greeting people.  Saying 'easy girl' to my horse when she is scared.  The ability to say yes or no when someone assumes I will take their quest.

2) A camp that does not move.  The location can be upgraded to include a cabin.  There are at least a few hundred locations that would be suitable for an instanced homestead.  Ride up the trail and you disappear from the 'online' world.  Every player could have their homestead in the same place.  Similar to the way everyone could own the same apartment in GTA.  There should be lots of premium upgrades to make the place really nice.

3) I want to be able to deposit money in banks.  Have it earn interest.  I want to be able to rob banks and stores too!

4) I want a bounty system in place for players who commit crimes.  The game should pay us for tracking down other players with bounties.

@Maebalzurakin I agree with the cabin/ranch instance. Make it off map in your own chosen valley, which has a trail leading in and out of it. Use a loadingscreen and a signpost menu to choose where you want to go (to your location or that of a friend.

Use the valley to hunt and fish in peace or herd your cattle, with own missions along with it. Including leading your cattle out of your valley (loadingscreen) to the main map and then to a selling place (for example Valentine or Blackwater).

Only thing which is necessary is a way to make camping outside of map in/out locations impossible for grievers.

I suggested something like this before to the Red Dead Online feedback page:https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback

It would be cool if there was a 'Kill Points" (KP) currency system. For example, maybe a kill gives you 10 KP, headshots give you double (20 KP), Knife/Melee kills gives you 50, an assist gives you 5 KP etc. Maybe you can reward players for reviving other players, reviving a player gives you 100 KP or some high amount. To stop players from exploiting this, players will only have 3 lives every 10 rounds so if you get downed a 3rd time before round 10, you'll just immediately die. While in the cooldown period, you can either go through that craft/buy menu to purchase weapons, tonics, ammo (with other types like High Velocity, Split Point etc., Being more expensive than Regular) with your KP. Or loot, you may not get the certain items you want from looting but it's good for saving up (maybe each loot gives you a random amount of KP, 1-10) and maybe you'll loot some ingredients so you don't have to buy a specific item since you can craft it and you can loot ammo but it wouldn't be much.

There are some good spots for maps but Rockstar needs to use Guarma for these as well, I know two spots in Guarma they could use: Cinco Torres and Agusdulces (that building with the walls around it, in story mode where you save Javier).

This has a lot of potential and sounds fun as hell! I would definitely put a few days into this mode. Maybe we can call this mode 'Holdout'. Go to: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback and request something like this, kinda sucks though since there's a 500 character limit so I couldn't get into all the small details so I had to dumb it down.

Number 3 is interesting. When would we get interest paid out or generated into our account(how long in game time)? Would it still generate interest while we are logged off or only does this while we are on? I really want to rob banks too. Even though it would require probably 4 and people to play roles that they could barely play during GTA:O Heists......I feel the roles in this game should be much easier, buuuuuut someone always will find a way to mess it all up regardless.

Buildings with interiors (even if you have to get a lock picker, kick the door down, shoot the lock off the door, blow the lock off the door with a shotgun, or blow the door off with dynamite), and--please--more locations with at least one or two lootable items around.

I forget exactly where it was, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a lootable item mixed in what appeared to be trash.

A wider variety of lootable items would be nice, though I realize that going that route takes up more room in player stashes...

Sometimes I think I’m the only one that doesn’t want the player characters to have voices.

the online protagonists are supposed to be ‘us’. Avatars for ourselves. Thus, the personality and actions they make are the ones we assign to them with our actions as players. Giving them a voice gives them their own personality and ability to voice their own thoughts. Something that disconnects them from us as we play. It’s the same reason why in so many classic JRPGs [Pokemon being a well-known example of the genre] the protagonists never talk or show any real emotion. Because they’re supposed to be stand-ins for the players.

it’s better that they remain mute, and better that they show little emotion one way or another without our direct input.
