I think it would great idea if we could buy mini game tables at the camp so we can hangout in peace and play games. Certainly would hope that we could place wagers on said games too even if its just a buck

I just want a meat wagon. Something I can throw hunting carcasses on so they don't go to waste. I also want to be able to use a boat in the water for fishing, big sailboats, steamboats, steam ships, complete with cannon and the like. Even a civil war battleship. Just for some variety. Maybe a steam powered Benz mobile no or any cars from the 1880s and 1890s. They don't have to ruin it for horses and stuff but it would just be a fun variety is all.

I second this

So there’s a few things I’d like to add..

1. The option to scalp humans; I think this would be a cool option especially for my Native American character role play. The “skins” wouldn’t be worth anything but could get you an achievement for doing it so many times.

2. We need mini games like poker etc, and without a shadow of a doubt those things will be in, but I’d also like the hunting challenges to be in like the side character who you shoot birds with in story mode.

also on mini games I would add in Craps tables. Easy game to animate and put your bets on. I think the casino should be one of the big boats in the water so it’s a private session type ordeal, but you could play cards or dominoes at any saloon/camp

3. We need carts that we can use for hunting. Currently doing a big hunting trip feels more like a chore than fun, because it’s constantly going back into town with bodies to maximize profit

4. Traps and cages. We should have some of these that we can place bait in to catch perfect animals in, and with cages you could put them in the ocean or river and catch fish, crawdads, or crabs. It would be a nice feature that’s easy to implement.

5. They have the mechanic already in game on leading herds, they should have some free roam events where you could lead a group of horses or sheep or cows to the market for selling. Set up basic destination points that you need to guide them to similar to the mail delivery missions

Would like to be able to kill an animal that is bleeding out on the ground without having to shoot it again and ruin the pelt/carcass. This was in the story but is not in online for whatever reason.

I kill animals bleeding with the knife, think it doesn't ruin the pelt.

As for my wish list:

Want my camp to be static, something like the Yacht in GTAO. Doesn't matter if I'm on St. Denis and my camp is on Blackwater. Either I must travel there by horse or pay fast travel, it's my call. I could change the location for a fee. Usually I spend most time in the same region so it wouldn't happen so much.

Players should be penalized for causing troubles. Today if you go to a town and slaughter everyone (npc or other players) you just runaway, comeback 5 minutes later and that's all good, nothing happens. There should be a bounty system (like $50 in your head) so everybody in the lobby would hunt you down and you couldn't use shops like the butcher or the fence until you're cleared with the bounty.

If you have your horse fully loaded with animals you shouldn't lose them if you die.

You should be able to choose what showdown series you want to play.

Some kind of passive mode so I could chill if I want to go fishing or just explore the map looking for animals to hunt without having to worry with other players.

I want some pocket artillery.

Does the term "4-bore rifle" talk to anyone?

It would be fun to have a massive 4 bore hunting rifle chambered with nitro cartridges: something along those lines -->

My wish list.

1. More Story missions, and I mean much more. I will have no issue paying for a package of, say, 10 missions every now and then. More variety is what to be expected, from small to large scale heists, each with preparation phases, hunting-based stories, stealth-based missions that can turn into intense shootouts if detected and so on.

2. Mini-games to be brought into Online. However, this is expected to happen, but the new thing is to add the Redemption version of Liar's Dice.

3. Individual options to select which PvP mode to play instead of going through a forced series of matches.

4. Bring back the classical PvP modes from Redemption as they were. Grab The Bag, Hold Your Own and Gang Shootouts (2 teams).

hey so i dont know if anyone will read this but i thought i should add somethings i would love to see. well for paying for a posse it would be cool to get some kind of armored carriage maybe with a gatling gun.or a way to carry some different types of ammo around a ammo belt around your character or be able to store ammo on my horse. also have like fishing events because fishing as of now is not worth it. maybe make crafting easier. maybe add a game type with only lassos thats like capture the vip so it could be a fist fight/ lasso game. also if two rival posses are in a lobby could you make its so they can challenger each other to some kind of fight. maybe make special gear you can earn or win or even buy that will increase nonessential parts of the game like herb gathering or a fishing hat or a skiners knife, or craters gloves. could you make a game mode incorporating animals like a survival game type were plays must fight waves of animals. i would also like something to be done about lossos i love the idea but when i get someone i cant really do much with them i would love there to be a way to keep someone tied down because i would love to kidnap players maybe have a bounty system to bring them alive bad players have a harder time breaking free maybe? maybe add some stealth to the game so players cant always see each other on the mini map like if your crouched. for dlcs im sure your already going to this one but the bottom of the map as mexico and maybe a undead nightmar dlc maybe do a undead nightmar map because the zombie surviaval was kind boring in red dead 1. also train and stage couch robbing please i want to rob with my friends also could u guys make it so treasure maps can be posse related. that way when one of my friends finds a map its no a party breaker. sorry if this was hard to read but i just wanted to write down what i would love to see this game have.

p.s love game

  • I would like the Poker & Blackjack tables to open up asap!  This will add a lot of fun to Online and give players something to do with their hard earned cash!
  • I would like more online story missions.  RDR2 Online has the potential to be the Wild West version of World of Warcraft, so get crackin!
  • I think it would be cool if a player who murders another player became red to all and maybe even became permanently Red, unable to go into towns.  R* can add outlaw cities for murders, theives, and outlaws to access store-fronts.  I am thinking of a PvP system very similar to Ultima Online.  In Ultima Online, if you murder 5 or more players then you are outlawed from towns - you can still go to towns but the town guards attack you on sight.  Ultima also has "Outlaw" cities dedicated to murderers and outlaws, there are no police or guards in outlaw towns.  Many "Good" players go to these outlaw towns hunting for a fight.
  • I would like to be able to select specific game modes in Quick-Join matchmaking.  I really like Hostile Territory and Team Deathmatch, but highly dislike Most Wanted and Name Your Weapon.  Most Wanted ruins my fun and a lot of times I decide to go back to Free Roam because that game mode disgusts me so much, then I get bored and play another game.
  • Duels would be cool.  Being able to start a duel with another player would be a ton of fun.  (But this can be a last priority.)
  • A Bounty System for PvP.  Murderers and Outlaws can have Bounties placed on them by other players.  R* had a system like this in GTA, it would be great for RDR2!  Another idea is to have players bounties automatically increase as they kill other players.
  • Attack & Defend style game modes for PvP Matchmaking.  Hostile Territory is OK, but something similar to BF3 & BF4 "Rush" mode would be the best!   RDR2 Gold Rush Mode!  One team defends, one team attacks.  Tits.
  • Rustle Horses - I would like to be able to rustle and sell horses or keep a wild horse.
  • Different Stranger Missions.  I want to rob BANKS!!   Even if I was only allowed to do it once a day, that would make me happy!
  • Ability to rob stores or add extra stores that can be robbed if you do not want to allow players to rob general stores.  Allow us to rob "side-businesses".
  • Allow players to setup their own gang hide-out in a fort or a place of their choosing.  Players could purchase a number of guards or NPC gang-members to defend it while they are offline.  Players can purchase upgraded gear for their NPC guards and can choose which guards they want to defend their base (shotgun dudes, dual weilders for extra cost, etc)  Your character would be the NPC boss.  If you have multiple Player members in your gang, each member will become a "sub-boss npc".   +Enemy players can attack player-made hideouts for nice loots!
  • Allow gang members to stay together in versus modes (matchmaking).  I hate that you cannot play with a group in matchmaking, it forces you onto different teams and that blows.
  • Player Trade System - Something like the Auction House on WOW.  I would totally purchase herbs and goods from other players!

Probably already asked for but what i would like to see are "tracking dogs", dogs we can own as a companion that will track dow injured/bleeding wildlife.

So the dog actually replaces the tracking in eagle eye thru a 2nd command, so we have 2 commands for tracking in eagle eye, 1 command for doing it yourself and a second for sending the dog to track it.

I think it would be awsome to have a dog companion in RDO.

And i want the option to wear the off hand holster seperatly, but even better new holsters and gunbelt like Hosea and Mica had in the SP, that would be really awsome !

  • Adding Freeaim lobbies would be nice, too.  Auto-Aim ruins the fun, even if you are good.  Freeaim lobbies would add a competitive and more addictive game style.  Autoaim lobbies... I assume most people do what I do and just quit to play another game when they get frustrated with Auto-aim.  You want people to play RDR2?  You need freeaim lobbies, no question about it.

  • I think the most important thing to fix is the Versus Game Modes.  I need to be able to choose the game mode I want to play, not only that but better Attack & Defend style game modes need to be added AND free-aim lobbies need to be added.  If this does not get done soon, I do not see myself playing much RDR2 at all.  The only value I would currently brag about in RDR2 is the Story Mode, not the Online Mode.  I am already bored with Online and am already playing other games.  That is not good... not good at all, because RDR2 has HUGE potential.

  • Adding prefix player titles would add some more context to the online as well.  For Example:   "The Butcher Han Solo Yolo"    or   "Lawman Han Solo Yolo:   or   "The Outlaw ..."   "The Smuggler..."  "The Good ...."   "The Bad...."    "The Ugly ..."
-These can be earned via achievements or earn titles from completing tasks online.

Thats the only reason i still didnt touch any pvp mode, the auto aim doesnt bother me, im still  used to it from RDR1.

I agree that its a lill boring now but dont forget we are in for just 2 weeks now and this is still just a test fase, im sure R* will add many more stuff.

All we need is a lill patience, im fishing and hunt a bit every day, ride my horse, clear some hideouts and go watch a movie or serie.

Im waiting on private sessions to come, i really hope they implement that.

Many people have different wishes for the game and they still have to work out the disconnect problems for a lot of us, so patience and i think all will be fine.

It just takes a lill time...

I can be patient.

I will just be playing other games until an update for RDR2 comes out and I can only hope the update includes some of what I wish for.  😃

As long as the only options are "Showdown Series" then I will not be playing RDR2.

I want to be able to choose the specific mode I want to play.

Everytime Most Wanted comes up I want to uninstall.

The only reason I am keeping RDR2 installed is because I might play through the Single Player Story Mode again.

When they let us choose our PvP experience and add free-aim lobbies, then I will commit some time to leveling up and playing.  Until then, RDR2 Online is dead to me.

Over the course of the coming days I will create some 'Add On's' by combining your ideas, so we have an clear image from what we want and/or need in the game. :)

Then I'll link them in the OP post and add names from the ones which ideas were used.
*this also eliminates the necessity for reposts :)

- I am currently writing the 'Liars, Cheats and Robbers' idea which will focus on Gambling, minigames and robbing. And the 'Wilderness Camplife', which will introduce tracking dogs, carts, trappers and followers/bodyguards.

All names of the people who helped will be present!

Okay i understand what you are saying and i do other things besides playing RDO atm but i still do some fishing/hunting and the occasional hideout every day, just acouple hours and go do other things.

I didnt touch the series/showdowns at all yet (maybe i should try it) but i really want private servers/sessions and be able to play with certain people that are not even able to play atm due to the disconnect problems every 10 minutes.

To uninstall is a bit harsh i think, and yes the SP is still fun to me so i wander of in that too.

Just a Few ideas,

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

1. I am hoping that R* will make it so based on your honor you can be either a lawman, Pinkerton / bounty hunter or outlaw.

Also: maybe an Indian Faction. different gang factions for each territory.

2. Buy-able land with ranches, saloons, shops, hideouts, gold/silver mines and Oil refineries(that work similarly to GTA O businesses) all up-gradable and profitable.

3. Stage coaches with Armour for transporting valuable objects across the map that you can protect or attack.

4. Trains you can buy and transport goods to businesses you own, you can upgrade them (buy military train cars, Machine-guns and such) but people can attack you

while transporting and hijack your train and take it to there own business(they have to protect it until they reach there stop on the track if they don't own a train

station a marker will indicate where they escape with the train), all business owners have to own at-least 1 train station to use this feature.

5. you can upgrade your camp to have a storage for hunting goods/ stolen goods, when full you use a cart to sell all your pelts or other such items(you can sell legally

for less money or illegally for more money but you can be attacked when selling illegally).

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

These are just a few ideas i have been throwing at my friends, and they agree they would make the world more enjoyable and give money a value again, comments and ideas welcome! :D

Red Dead Online:
Wilderness Camplife

mEtgCR6.png

An idea created with the input of:
@RED_DEADMANBully2comingsoon, Piro, Pepperjack, Commander S, Shadowfennekin, skyfamster, DreadedSilverback, Re-Dragon-Cro, Broblab, cammopants, Abhunter, ShadowBadass, anarquista_duval, Tha-Jamz, DrKrankensteinPotato_ReDeMeEmEr

Red Dead Online: The Wilderness Camplife will introduce the option to customize your Posse’s camp and posse members can even play without the leader present. Add camp member npc’s and use them as followers, own dogs for hunting and use cats to kill the varmints around the camp. The update also adds the possibility to customize your character after an camp upgrade and buy wagons to use for hunting, missions or freeroam.

Actively Persistent Posse Members:
The posse leader can assign 6 people who can still join the posse in his/her absence, so the posse will even be active if (s)he isn’t present. However, no new people can join the posse if the leader isn’t active. Any posse member assigned by the leader can use the money from the donation box to update the camp and its members. Posse members will always be loaded into each other’s game! You can only be an active assigned member of one posse at the same time!

T6eTijI.png

New Camp Items:
The Wilderness Camplife update adds a load of new camp items, most which will be quite familiar to the Singleplayer players. The Mirror will make a comeback, but also the Donation box, Ammution wagon and the Cook. New is the trapper and various other items, such as doghouses and usable wagons. Camp Members will also be making an appearance, which will make the camp more alive and will patrol and take course in activities around the camp.

The Mirror:
The mirror is featured at a new wagon. Players can fully customize their entire look here. While free for the Actively assigned posse members, an initial price of $1000 is requested for purchase of the Mirror.
The appearance of camp members can also (only) be changed here.

The ammunition wagon:
The Ammunition wagon is used for customizing player’s guns and take ammunition from the posse cart. The load out of camp members can also be changed here.

1oPAbCZ.png

Donation Box:
The donation box is used by the Posse to purchase camp upgrades (for the entire posse). Players can donate to the box themselves, can choose to pay a certain percentage of their income or the posse leader can set a percentage (between 0 and 50% of players’ income) or set amount of daily upkeep (up to $25. All Actively assigned posse members can use the money from the donation box to purchase posse camp upgrades.

The Trapper:
The Wilderness Camplife update will also introduce the Trappers in the game. These will act like Butchers, but you can also craft/buy Trapper exclusive items here. For a mere $350, you will be able to add a trapper to your camp. The trapper can also be used to craft traps and cages and place bait here. Return after you receive a prompt to look at your… price.

AzMxXDk.png

The Cook:
Can cook your meat for you and creates a dinner and breakfast every day for all posse members. The Posse can upgrade the cook’s cart(s), to gain freeroam bonusses.

Dog houses can be purchased for hunting or guard dogs. Any posse member can make one dog active and take it on a hunt. If the dog is killed, it will be returned to the camp, but unavailable for 1 ingame day.

Obtained goods:

You can upgrade your camp to have a storage for hunting goods/ stolen goods, when full you use a cart to sell all your pelts or other such items.

Camp members:
Camp Members can be purchased to make the camp more alive. Each will add $5 upkeep a day, but they will defend your camp and can follow you on hunts or robberies. If they die, they will be unavailable for one ingame day. The NPC’s will defend your camp from hostiles (red players) and patrol the perimeter if inactive.

DmZa2XI.png

Usable Wagons & Boats:
There are up to three spaces available for wagons. The posse can purchase a wagon and upgrade these. There are options for seats, weapons, armor and space for materials/carcasses. Posse’s can customize the wagon to their playstyle. Boats aren’t customizable but can be used for fishing and traveling. When the boat touches shallow water or shoreline, you get the option to unload (10 fish per bag). These bags can be hung on your horse or stored on carts to travel to the butcher.

Players can also actively buy instruments, which they can store in the camp and play! Buying outfits for Cripps, will add these outfit styles to posse styles.

Posse Camp Upgrades:
Donation Box
$0,-        Unlocks the donation box for the posse.

Cook
$200      Free food and coffee every morning and evening. Give meat to let it be cooked immediately. The Cook also unlocks option to buy food upgrades. (Chicken wagon, meat wagon etc.)

Trapper & hunt wagon
$400      Sell hunted animals, meat and skins. Buy/craft exclusive items.

Music chest
$250      Posse members can purchase and store music instruments here.

Ammunition wagon
$500      Customize weapons and take ammunition from the camp funds. Any NPC in the camp will be able to use weapons, and here you can update their load out.

Dog house (1/7)
$250      Purchase a dog house for 1 dog. Choose breed and customize here.

Cat basket (1/7)
$100      Purchase a cat basket for 1 cat. Customize here.

Mirror
$1000    Purchase so any persistent posse member can change its (entire!) appearance for free.

Storage (1/25)
$100      Purchase 10 extra storage slots for your obtained items.

Drivable Wagon slot #1
$250      Purchase a slot for a wagon

Drivable Wagon slot #2
$500      Purchase a slot for another wagon

Drivable Wagon slot #3
$1000    Purchase a slot for a third wagon

Rowboat
$500      Purchase a rowboat to use for fishing, is added to nearest body of water. Can store 50 medium/large fish. Space for four players.

Canoe (1/3)
$250      Purchase a canoe to use for fishing, is added to nearest body of water. Can store 20 medium/large fish. Space for two players.

Camp member (1/7)
$350      Purchase a new camp member to be used for defending the camp or go on hunts with. A posse member can only have one follower active at one moment. Camp Members can be customized at the Mirror and their load out at the Ammunition wagon. Clothing can be customized at Cripp’s wagon.

vEn1oj2.png

Camp Honor- Depending on the actions of your posse as a whole, your camp will gain or lose honor. The kind of upgrades available for camp will be decided by this honor (ONLY relevant things) Camp Missions   These are missions specific to camp life performed with help form the posse. Functions like camp life in story mode

Improved Camp Upgrades. These could include better fire pits and grills for  crafting camp exclusive meals with special benefits.
a)STEWPOT like story mode for a free meal per day granting golden cores.
b) Target for bow throwable knives/tomahawks (these exist in O’Driscole camps in story mode. Mostly cosmetic but could be a mini game
c)Camp storage for items such as animal meats, ammunitions, throwing weapons etc. Any animal meats could be stored at camp so they can be readily cooked at any time. Bringing a deet back to camp and skinning it will add its meat to this storage for all to benefit from. Storage capacity able to be increased through upgrades via money or posse challenges.
d)Shaving Station for facial hair –free shave
e)Camp Wagon/stagecoach with upgradeable storage for hauling more animals/supplies
f)Munitions Cart- similar to story mode
g)Supplies Cart-similar to story mode.

In-camp Crafting- Work together with your posse to pull resources for crafting elite camp items.
1.Storage upgrades- Want to upgrade your camp storage of freshly killed meat? To do so will require you to retrieve 50 highly insulated beaver pelts.
2. Tent/amenity upgrades -Want to upgrade your tent canvas to a warmer material? It could cost your posse 100 perfect quality deer pelts just to have enough material to convert everyone’s tents.
3. STORY MODE style crafting- Why not take the crafting elements already existing in story mode and add them to the online…Specifically like Pearson’s crafting at camp. You could craft everything from new weapon equipment, clothing, hats, saddles, upgrades for camp, and more.
4.Honor Related business What about setting up a Stil and cooking a batch of moonshine if your honor is low. The still can produce 1 jar per posse member per day that restores both your dead eye bar and core and gives you level IV gold cores or something to that effect or can be sold for profit to a fence.  Honorable gangs could run a Pelt Tanning Rack that increases pelt values by a percentage for all posse members who store pelts on the rack for an amount of time. The potential for this world they’ve created is truly limitless

Freeroam additions:

Trappers will be scattered across the landscape in the same places as singleplayer. Here you can sell pelts and meat, but also craft and buy new exclusive items, such as furhats and pelts over the shoulders for warmth.

Camp Missions

These are missions specific to camp life performed with help form the posse. Functions like camp life in story mode
a)Supply Runs- 1-2 man missions into nearest town to collect supplies (in story mode someone was sent off screen for this activity…here we see it through.) Completing this run grants SPECIAL quality provisions as well as small suplly of special ammo types at camp that each posse member can collect once from the munition and provisions carts.. How cool it would be to look at your inventory and say ”looks like we need to make a run into town”.
b)Hunting Trips – Running low on meat for the special stew?  A quick generated hunting mission for each player that requires 3 Good quality Elk for 1 player, 3 deer for another, and 3 rabbit for another is a quick way to add a little flavor to that special stew. These mission generate similar to treasure maps. Depending on the animal need for the stew, you map will mark the area where the animal can be found.
c)Camp chores- someone feed those damn horses!!!
d)Games- Why the hell cant I play five finger fillet with my team of leathernecks. We need poker, dominoes, and Five Finger….maybe a new game of knife throwing on top.
e)Legendary Fishing Trips- Launch with any members in camp. Ride to boat location and go on a fishing expedition in attempt to catch 1 of the 13 legendary fish. Legendary fish does not always spawn which makes landing one a joyous event for all. Legendary fish may be mounted as decoration at camp and prize money awarded for a photo of the fish and their captors.  All caught fish added to participants inventory for sale or food.
f)Legendary Hunting Trips- strike out with posse members to hunt down legendary beasts. Use pelts to craft unique gear.  Coordinate your attacks to take down the legendary grizzly in one fowl swoop
g)Camp Bounty Missions-strike out from camp to hunt down gang leaders and NPC bounties.
h)Cattle Rustling- Low honor posses can head out and sneak onto some farmland and open the gates to the cattle pins and try to make off with a herd of beef or sheep for money. Or tie up a rancher out in the field as he tends to his flock and swipe em.
i)Raids – raid enemy posse camps and steal their supply wagon for some quick money and supplies. Losing posse will lose certain camp abilities for a short duration or until re-supply fee is paid

Kill animals with the knife to put them out of their misery. This will not damage the pelt!

One instrument can be carried on your horse and you can even play it on horseback!

Missions of some strangers now also give you herding and cattlerustling missions. The latter giving you dishonor and the first gives you honor.

Feel free to reply for updates to this post :) Just as done with all GTA suggestions (including MotorCycle Club, Nightlife and Smuggling), this idea will later be sent to R*. The more people sent it (the link to this post:

), the higher the chance we will see it online!

And i want the option to wear the off hand holster seperatly, but even better new holsters and gunbelt like Hosea and Mica had in the SP, that would be really awsome !

Adding to this, I think it would also be nice to have the option for your secondary holster to be drop leg, rather than crossdraw.

I suggested this a few days ago on Reddit, but I thought I'd show you fine people as well.

Battle Bugles can be a interesting new method of communication between players, for rallying your teammates in battle, and also for a funny new accessory.

*IMPORTANT*

Showdown Series often has too many team choices.   If there are only 10 people in the game and 5 teams, that's 2 people per team.  It would be nice if you reduced the number of teams based on how many players are present or simply reduced the number of teams in general.

For 32 people, 2 or 3 teams is plenty.  No need for 5+ teams.

I keep trying to play showdown series... but I just can't do it.

Most Wanted and Name Your Weapon are terrible game modes.  So bad that they are making me feel angry towards R*.

Then the number of teams on top of that.  I get a lump in my throat.  It pains me.

I love Team Shootout.   16 vs 16 team death match.

I like Hostile Territories, except when there are too many teams.

Hate Most Wanted and Name Your Weapon.

I want to be able to play instruments around the campfire.  Make it a QuickTime game like five finger fillet (or like a really primitive guitar hero) and make it grant a gold health, stamina or dead-eye core if you get it right.

Obviously, we need passive mode back, I’m tired of getting killed when fishing, or trying to deliver my pelts to the butcher.

I am sorry for killing you on your way to the butcher.  I needed the money.  😃

List of ideas for Red Dead Online that could change the game for the better. (NOTE: No I have not read every forum looking for this topic to see if others have discussed it already, don't wanna read this then don't. If you do, then you are why I'm writing to begin with , those interested in anything and everything we can do to make this the game we want it to be. These are just ideas from either my mind or those ive played with that may or may not have already been discussed. ENJOY

Please feel free to submit any of these ideas you agree with to Rockstar @ https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback

Please note that this list is not in any specific order and are simply ideas that have already been submitted to Rockstar. Any ideas you like can be sent in to increase the chances of  being implemented in future updates of the game. Lets BLOW UP THAT INBOX! I have personally sent in over 50 bug reports, suggestions and fixes to help improve the game. This list is does not include the major bugs and glitches as most have been noted or reported on already(although some may be included),  these are mostly game mechanic improvements and things most would like to see based on my interactions with players as well as my own 2 cents (average pay for a looted corpse these days).  I feel like this game is already a huge step in the roleplaying genre with its pacing and direction so why not recognize that fan base and cater to it. Not every game has to be high speed octane blast with instant rewards. RDR is a perfect example of how slow and steady can be good in gaming and how working long and hard for what you want is more rewarding than having the best things handed to you instantly. This list tends to follow that rule.

TOPIC #1 CAMPS:

Overall the Camps are cool but are currently useless aside from cooking food and changing clothes. Which is something that can easily be improved.  The campsite should feel just as alive as story mode with things to do and upgrades to work for to make your campsite feel like home and more like a real place you WANT to come back to for relaxing and fun with gang mates after a long day of hunting and gunslinging.  This should honestly be a huge focus of the online. Although its easy to think of improvements for large posse of people, There should be a few cool additions for those Lone wolf style players too. Such as reduced cost for crafting things you’ll read about below.

1.Camp Honor- Depending on the actions of your posse as a whole, your camp will gain or lose honor. The kind of upgrades available for camp will be decided by this honor (ONLY relevant things) Camp Missions   These are missions specific to camp life performed with help form the posse. Functions like camp life in story mode

2.Improved Camp Upgrades.

1.In-camp Crafting- Work together with your posse to pull resources for crafting elite camp items.
TOPIC #2 Horses:

Overall the horses are amazing both online and story and one of my favorite aspects of the game. HOWEVER, there are always ways to improve and I think I have some ideas on how to do this and some friends have had some great ideas also. Heres some thing

1.New Horse Gear. These could include :
a)Blinders that cover your horses side vision to prevent it from getting spooked by enemies and predators (so annoying but still cool).
b)Reigns for cosmetics looks.
c)Brands – on Braithwaite manor, the horses all have the letter “B” branded on their hind ends. I think having access to a full alphabet of brand letters for your horse would be cool.
d)Pack saddles – you’ve seen those mules hauling big loads and prospectors in the game with horses LOADED with equipment. Why not make a pack saddle like that available for hauling extra goods/animals.

2.New Horse type perks. These could include :
1.Work horses could maybe haul more animal carcus than a normal horse and be able to carry a pack saddle (unlike other horses)
2.Race horse should go even faster than they already do but able to carry much less or at least have their speed reduced much more than work horses.
3.War horses could have thin armor plating of some type to further increases strength(leather wrap or gator skin
4.I think ALL horses should be able to carry an additional large animal carcus/skin by throwing it over the saddle. HOWEVER, you can only lead the horse when fully loaded or ask it to follow.

3.Other horse related ideas
1.A few more breeds would be fine with me (Clydesdale maybe?)
2.A few more hair styles or colors.
3.Honestly feel like make im getting too picky now but hey, these are just ideas right? Lol

TOPIC #3 Weapons:

Overall the guns are great but there are always gonna be good ideas to add. BUT PLEASE, NOTHING CRAZY OR WAY BETTER THAN WHAT EXISTS ALREADY. There are really only a few id like to see.

1.Lematt Revolver-any variation of the 1851 Colt Navy Revolver would be oh so sweet
2.More gun twirling animations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These could even be emotes. Id really like to see Dual wielded gun spinning in this game.
3.Gatling gun for camp defense. (For those assholes who are assholes)
4.Weapon Customization- This needs a drastic upgrade, don’t get me wrong I like what we have and it doesn’t need a whole lot of changes, just a much wider set of options such as:
1.New Carvings- Im sorry but the 7 or 8  simple carvings we have got old by the end of story mode.  Id like to see some carvings that cover the entire grip.  IF THEY CANT DESIGN NEW CARVINGS THEN AT LEAST GIVE US FLACOS, Granger’s, Midnights and Calloways carvings as an option. (already designed and easy to implement).
2.New Engravings- Id like to see a few new additions to this list, even if its just the unique ones like Grangers or Flacos
3.Shaved Sights for faster draw times.
4.Woodburning designs- The rare rolling block rifle in story mode has wood burnt designs all over the weapon…cmon guys lets get some more for Online.

TOPIC #4 Game Modes/Activities:

Right now there is a limited amount of things to do but here are a few big ticket items I would LOVE to see implemented

1.NO MINI-MAP Free roam! I truly wish I could shut off my mini map and play how this game deserves to be played (exploring naturally and not by gazing at dots on a minimap)…but I cant do that…why?...because ill never see those assholes coming to kill me and steal my animals ive hunted….why? Because they have their mini map on and they can see me 1st.   I feel like EVERY game mode SHOULD have a NO MINIMAP counterpart. How awesome would deathmatches be if you didn’t know where everyone was at all times(nearly all times).     LOOK….im not saying do away with the map, just the mini map. You can still open up your map and plan a route to your next location.  People would have to actually OPEN their eyes! See the beauty of the game and learn the roads…..GOD I wish this were an option now and that others feel the ssame. Imagine tracking your bounty using nothing but your eagle vision and senses….you would actually have to …uhh..TRACK..them.

2.Duel invites- even without using the quickdraw mechanic, we could still face someone 1v1 on the street….countdown begins…reaches zero…time to fire. DO YOU…try to take the time to aim and get the perfect headshot? Or do you hip/slam fire that revolver as fast as you can and pray for a lucky bullet? I know what id do. I want to do this.

3.Mexican Standoff to start matches (like RDR 1 online)- why did this stop? Bring it back.
4.Free aim Only lobbys ( Id rather have no mini map lobby that free aim) I feel like we cant have both because the game population would be divided into thirds which could result in empty free roam sessions(hopefully not).
5.REDEMPTION FREE ROAM- Hell lets just combine both ideas and make this free roam mode completely free aim with NO mini map. Bonus money and XP for playing this way also (since this is pretty much my xmas wishlist)

6.PROSPECT FOR GOLD! ACTIVITY- You get 2 small bags and one large bag and buy a pick axe and pan. Head to anyplace that looks like it could hold a good amount of gold and start digging up some earth. Fill each of your bags with earth and stow on the sides and tail of your horse. Ride over to the nearest stream and start panning your dirt to find gold nuggets (another way to earn gold). Gold can be found nearly anywhere but you can pay/intimidate a fellow prospector for big ore deposite locations. These work the same way as treasure maps as far as finding the area, then you dig around the area for soil to pan, you have a rare chance while digging to strike a large chunk of solid gold ore which can be refined into pure Hanover Gold.  I would love for this to be a real activity. The animations are already in the game and so is almost every other item and mechanics to flush this out. LETS GET IT GOING!
7.Bare Knuckle Fights- The fight components already exist, so lets make it an activity, a 1v1 tournament, a 2v2 team brawl, a 7v7 team brawl, and a 14 man royal rumble (everyman for himself). This is a thing seen in the main story with Charles-lets explore that further)
8.Endurance Horse Race- The ultimate race, no combat, just racing (maybe combat..lol)  a full ride from Northern Roanoke or Annesberg all the way to Ratheskeller fork in new Austin. This is a true test of endurance-bring you best steed. A race this long should drum up some decent rewards.

TOPIC #5 Other Ideas/concerns:

A few other things we’d like to see.

1.STUBBLE FACIAL HAIR- Why cant I select stubble?- I own it, but cant equip it.
2.Indian style clothing-Headdresses-peace pipes- Teepees at camp orNative American camp themes
3.Bull riding- same animations as horse breaking just to make it easy to implement
4.Catching and selling wild horses- Why are wild horses even in the online if we cant own, bond, sell.
5.BANDOLIERS!- all types-especially the double crossed bandoliers  seen on the banditos
6.HATS -more hats
7.Other gear locked by completing challenges instead of money.
8.Customizeable belt buckles- it’s a shame that all the belt buckles are the same gold color-id like to see the same metal options as weapons available.
9.SOCIAL CLUB CREWS/POSSEs- lets make these posses official by supporting them on social club.
10.Group photos available at the photo shop- sortalike John and Abigail in story mode

Well that’s about all I have time to come up with at the moment. Please feel free to steal any of these ideas and submit as your own. The more who do that, the better the odds are of getting some of this. I don’t feel like any of this is unreasonable given time and money. Thank you all for your attention and help

This is my first time writing in a forums so forgive if my idea seems weird. How about missions with the early van der line gang?

I personally believe that some things online should be changed for the better, I think the more dangerous animal pelts should be sold at a higher price because of how hard they are to track and kill as well, Add more animals, make the more dangerous animals more aggressive... like alligators, boars,  they just sit there or run instead of actually come after you in the water or on land... make the game harder so it's more of a challenge... pretty sad that bird feathers sell higher than a damn bear pelt.... a grizzly bear at that.... Since a grizzly bear is so big and aggressive.

I think you should be able to choose where you place your camp not just randomly generated... it gets annoying when you have to Travel across the map just to get to your camp, or make it like the story mode where you can just set up camp where you are for FREE randomly around your location..

I believe that bounties should be placed on players that like to just go on a shooting rampage....Also PLEASE ADD A PRIVATE SESSION AND A PASSIVE MODE... There are so many idiots running around on the game just wanting to shoot people that are grinding to make money... since it's so damn hard to get money.

I think you should add more events and also being able to rob all the stores, Rob banks and put a cooldown on them like a 24-hour cooldown. make it only give you like 150-200 dollars, not only the general store like... GTA 5... that got old fast make it to where we can sell, stolen stage carts, wild horses, stolen horses from the NPCs also looting NPCs should give you more valuables and be able to break into NPCs houses like in the solo campaign... the campaign is absolutely amazing! I really wish we could play co-op in the story mode with a friend that would be amazing but I don't see Rockstar ever being able to do that... add more NPC's to online the world seems lifeless. if people want to burn down houses with molotovs let them burn it completely down make it realistic.

Also, make the auto-aim lower on the person because people are just pressing on the thumbstick up in a second and getting instant headshots to make it more challenging...

if these things would be changed online. it would make the game absolutely amazing. and more people would actually want to buy the game to play it online.

Just please don't make this game into GTA Online where people just make it into a big battle royal.... it gets old people to have small brains and can't comprehend the fact of playing a game to actually enjoy it to have " FUN " they just get on there and instantly think let's kill everyone and make them mad...  Also this is a big thing a lot of people think should be implemented Add it to where your horse can lead another horse... All throughout time and every movie you have ever seen you have been able to do that...

Thanks for hearing my thought's and changes on Red Dead Online,

I play on the Xbox One and would like to see this game on PC since I mainly play a computer. Cross-platform would be a big plus so I could actually play with friends as well.

- Besides the obvious (poker, passive mode, private lobbies), I’d really love the ability to recruit NPC’s for our a camp. Kinda like in single player, where most of the members have their own specialty (Butcher/Cook, Gunsmith, Doctor, etc). They’d offer supplies until its time to re-stock in some way, through donating or a small mission, maybe.

- Might be an unpopular wish but I’d like for the player blimps to be gone. I like the element of surprise I guess?

- More customization options!

- Bank/Train heists!!
