Had to chuckle at some text under "Kodiak Bear":

"Beware that during mating season, the females will attack without profocation."

Profocation? :) I knew female rabbits were eager, but... ;)

XD should ofcourse have been a different period in the year and 'provocation' xD will change it later 😛

I am happy that at least some people read my posts. Went quite a lot if time and work into these kinds of stuff, especially to make it feel "real".

The Snakeoil Salesman (Role):

Character receives an advert in the mail. About the business opportunity of a lifetime and a meeting location. And you run into this guy...images-5.jpg

images-3.jpg

- Buy into a franchise

- Name your business and "special tonics"

- Sell legitimate and bogus merchandise. Gain praise or establish a bad reputation. Risk goods being confiscated, massive bounties and occasional being "railroaded" out of town.

A survival mode would be great.

You and 7 players or your own posse start in a specific area in the map and are being hunted by the Pinkertons, a wave-based mode like GTAO Survivals.

You go to a specific area in the map and defend it, every 5 waves you move to a new area in the map, the whole map is accessible.

Every 5 waves, a lockbox with lots of money or XP is spawned in the area you're defending, one of your members could try to lockpick it.

I mentioned this on Discord a few weeks back, each wave is different as well.

Have it start in the Dark with Night Folk and then maybe go to the Natives and Lemoyne Raiders, Skinner Brothers, Murfree Brood, Laramies, Del Lobos and depending on who you think should be the toughest Wave switch between O'Driscolls or Pinkertons.

I really like the Lockbock idea though, that's a nice challenge and little bonus because you'll need everyone working as a team, covering you.

- Add Mexico with shops, NPCs, stranger missions, etc.

- Rockstar Editor.

- Let us do emotes when using the self portrait on the camera. (Why isn't this already a feature?)

- Hardcore lobby. (No Minimap, No Ability Cards, Free Aim only, Check time with pocket watch, Map is a physical item that you open just like a treasure map, doesn't tell where you are)

- Invite only lobby. There's already been a working version of a solo lobby glitch in some form or another since launch. Just let us do it without exploits R*. It's in the code. Just turn it on.

- Take a ship to Guarma. Works just like a fast travel post. Make it cost $100 each trip, who cares.

- Let us save unique hats we've found off of NPC's that you can't buy in stores. Reward those who explore.

- Randomized loot in cabins and buildings. Then instead of making it empty when you reload a session, make it a different or even less valuable item.

- Let us fish from boats. Works perfectly in single player. Why isn't it online?

- Let us drive ships. We could via a glitch a few months ago and they worked flawlessly. It was a lot of fun. Riding up on people while they're fishing and they're just like WTF. Let us do it legit. What could it hurt.

- Let hair grow as it does in Single Player.

- OR -

- Let us combine facial hair options. I want stubble and a mustache.

- Let us keep the prison jumpsuit from the tutorial.

- Let us play on Sisika Island. Also reachable via a glitch. Just let us do it legit. What's the harm.

- Like how GTAO you could text other players on your phone, let us send letters to other players they can pick up at the post office.

- Give me a use for the pointless lockpick tool I bought from the fence. Any use will suffice.

- Add an emote for smoking cigarettes and cigars. Let you control how long you take a drag. Release button to blow smoke. Hold flourish button to blow smoke rings.

- Dynamic events like in single player. I want to encounter stuff like the naked wolf man randomly. Doesn't need to be an escort mission BS. Just add some life to the world.

- Trapper that works just like a butcher in the wilderness. Put him in isolated places that don't have a butcher nearby. Giving him the same crafting function from single player would be nice too.

- Let us put a camp in the snow. I just want a camp in the snow. Anywhere up there. I was shocked you couldn't.

- Let us save the mailbag from mail delivery missions onto our outfit. Maybe make it so you can carry more maximum of items when you wear it since upgradeable satchels aren't a thing in RDO.

- Let us break down large fish into meat. Another thing I'm not sure why you can't do it online.

- When you kill a gang member at a hideout holding a treasure map, give us an onscreen alert "An enemy has dropped a treasure map"

- Let us untie horses from carriages.

- Let us remove the stupid off hand holster.

- Let us surrender to police if we're unarmed.

- If we've committed a minor crime, let police tell us to get lost, instead of just killing us on sight.

- Hot air balloon online.

- Butcher, post office, and stable in Armadillo.

- Let us rob stores. Once you've robbed the store, you will be unable to use it for an in-game day. Other players can use it like normal.

- Teepees and campfires in Wapiti, with Natives as NPCs. It's in single player. Canonically, the reservation shouldn't be abandoned yet in Online.

- Let us cook multiple quantities of meat at a time using a stove in a cabin.

- Baths online. With the special service.

- Blackwater and Saint Denis both have ferry ports. Let us take a ferry between them.

- When viewing clothing items, display whether they are suitable for cold weather before you buy them.

- Let us buy the coat Flaco wears.

- Spawn canoes around the banks of rivers to the north so you can ride a canoe down rapids and down a waterfall.

- When you discover minor locations (where the location is written in cursive) make them stay permanently on your map forever.

- Open every locked interior. Whatever happened to OPEN world. There are tons of fully detailed interiors Online behind locked doors. I've seen mostly all of them before the lantern glitch was patched. Why not just open them? Or maybe how about letting us use the completely useless lockbreaker on it to open it.

- Let us try to mount random animals, bulls for example. And see how long we can ride it before getting launched in a hilarious manner.

- Add passenger trains online, not just cargo ones. And let us rob them and the people on board.

- Add running trains to New Austin.

- Enough with the empty lock boxes and chests you find all over the map. Put SOMETHING in it at least.

- Watch films at the Saint Denis, Valentine, and Blackwater theaters.

- BICYCLES.

There's no way we don't get Mexico at some point.  Would they really have redone 2/3rds of the original map for this game and not done Mexico?  I think it would be amazing.  Seeing just slightly different versions of all the locations and maybe get a stranger mission from a familiar face or two.

I would just hang out in Mexico. Rest of the map would rarely see me. 😎

I feel that the function of being able to rob people online is missing, I don't know why this is not yet, it seems so basic.

Anyone know if they plan on adding property anytime soon? Cabins, Victorian mansions, ranches, etc. would be so dope. I’m also SUPER surprised that “rancher” isn’t an available role in the upcoming update. Maybe a future one?

what do y’all think of them implementing sleep in online? jumping sessions to your preferred time of day. sounds simple enough doesn’t it?

I'd really appreciate more sound options, specifically to be able to jack up the nature sounds and turn down all other sounds just a tad.

It'd also be great to have a lot more of the random ambushes happening, those are pretty fun. Maybe even other random stuff, like coming across feuding gangs and having the option to take a side; or meeting up with a large band of outlaws that just pulled off a robbery, kill em and you get their loot. That kinda stuff would be a fun diversion.

Watching a video of a modder flying around as birds in single player, got me thinking, a flying machine DLC in Online would be amazing. They want to keep Red Dead Online going for years to come, I can definitely see them adding things like this (and bicycles also) to keep things fresh.

The ability to message everyone in the posse would be nice, I don’t have a mic and messaging 6 people all the time is a pain.

I've posted about wanting more supernatural and spooky stuff and boy would Amarillo be perfect for it. Has there ever been a more depressing location in the history of video games? There just has to be more to do there. Put a cemetery nearby with ghosts that will attack you or at least follow you around and disappear. Have some of the saloon riff raff try to attack and bite you. Make that place a haven for demons, and spirits and rabid junkies!

I wonder if at some point we'll have to run a business like a CEO or Biker club President in GTAO

Trader Role? You set up your business at your camp. First you collect materials by hunting, then Cripps will take care of it / craft something, then you sell it at a certain location. Seems a bit like a GTAO business to me, but probably more nuanced with more interesting rewards.

I was thinking more in the line of ,owning a land and planting and selling things. you hire people to maintain and protect your land

Could be coming in any future updates. In the GameInformer interview Rob Nelson mentioned expanding into Saint Denis and owning a storefront or even a railway or mine later down the line. You certainly need your own workers for that.

Also in the Aug 2 Newswire they talked about canine companions warning you of impending attacks on your camp. Maybe you can hire security like in GTAO to protect your own camp too.

They also spoke about map additions, so fingers crossed on that one.

I don't think we'll be able to 'own' a railway, but probably will be able to buy stocks from the railroad companies. Basically we'll be business partners. I see them doing this with a lot of things, such as ranches and farms.

You won't own these companies yourself; but will have stocks in it and need to do stuff for the company. For example herd cows for the ranch or do chores for the farm.

I know that this isn't the same as having your 'own' place, but it is easiest to do without the need of offmap locations or changing the map radically.

They have a huge map that has a ton of areas that people rarely even travel to. I hardly run into people up by Colter and there are many stretches where I just do not run into anyone and I have to check to see if I am in an empty lobby.

Instead of adding Mexico, allow them to make use of the massive map we already have. Mexico will be years down the road if it does come. But for now, look at the map we have and realize the possibilities.

This is true, I can’t see them actually expanding the map until the next gen/pc version comes around. Adding 64+ players in the lobby to account for the extra space wouldn’t hurt either.

Mrs. Grimshaw should be a Stranger Mission contact.

And each mission should be centered around escorting, rescuing and tracking a drunk Karen.

Mexico is part of the first RDR....... Red Dead 2 is the prequel that leads up to RDR1 story where the government agents make John bring in Dutch and the gang.

The RDR2 map is plenty big enough, without the need to open up Mexico.
