I want a horse switching hitching post at my camp, like John Marston has at his ranch. Can change clothes in magic wardrobe, can receive magically delivered items in a lockbox, can do magical fast travel from camp. Can't change horses..... ūü§ĒūüėĎ

There is a work around. If you go into the stable section of the interaction menu, go to speciality (I think thats what it's called) and then press the name of the horse you want. Not the best switcheroo but it's better than nuttin lol

I want new hats, most of the ones already in the game dont appeal to me and *R keeps adding sh*tty looking ones. E: the tillman cap, workfield hat and all those ugly as sin feathered hats (seriously who the f*ck asks for those?)

As long as they steer away from those silly feathery hats i would be happy, a pinned/slouch hat would be cool too:

decProduct11772.jpg

As of now, the NPC have a better selection of hats...

Since we are at it, a cloth option for the leather duster wouldnt be bad:

People who use Never Without One like big stupid hats because they offer more cover for the head.  Stupid, but it is what it is.

I wouldn't mind an option to name our characters in game, like we can name horses, instaed of using gamers accountnames.

Imagine something akin to The Magnificent Seven but all across the map. 30 player lobbies where every other person who comes in is on a different team. The private, corrupt, and militarized Industrialists are in the East with San Denis as their headquarters, maybe Bolder Glade or Shady Belle(or both) as the main hideout with the loot, supplies, and personnel.

And speaking of equipment, the Industrialists are all geared up. This might be a major point of argument but I think RDR2 could use some aspects of the years ahead of it's timeline especially in the RDO universe. Such as some weapons and equipment, possibly even vehicles from a little after 1899. I mean you know what Rockstar did with GTAO. Not an open invitation to do that again with RDO and especially not right away like this.

While the Outlaws are predominately in New Austin and try to expand through New Hanover and West Elizabeth.

These "Outlaws" come from all walks of life. Farmers and Prospectors trying to save their lives and their lands, The Innocent. And the not so innocent criminals trying to enterprise on the situation. No real set headquarters like the Industrialists maybe MacFarlanes or Thieves Landing. Hideouts such as Pikes Basin, Fort Mercer, etc.

Could be a way to update New Austin to more RDR standards in terms of buildings and liveliness.

And Mexico's still just waiting to be opened.

@70mustangboss429 would be pretty cool, but not doable in the current map size. Would be overpopulated. Which leads me to my next idea:

Map scale increase for next gen release.

What would it do?:

Scale the entire map 2x, making the map about 4 times larger. Regions would be much bigger, the change between biomes much more real and the mountains would become real sized mountains, reaching heights of up to 2000 metres.

Is it doable?:

In short, yes. Is it realistic? Not really, unless they have much bigger plans for RDO in the future.

It would mean that a team of level designers needs to rescale all of the assets to 50% of the size (or the entire map 200%), which would mean that the cities and towns need to be rescaled as a whole to keep the same layout.

Traintracks and roads probably can be scaled infintely if they made a engine mechanic for this. The bridges would need to be rescaled or even be remodelled entirely.

Forests would need to have 4x the trees and stones need to be added as well all over the map, creating an entirely different map, while still being recognizable as the old one.

Why would it be necessary?

A 2x scale increase would make the map much larger, giving the distances between towns and cities a much more realistic distance. A three times scale increase would actually even make the decisions for traintracks logical. For example a ride from Hennigans Stead to Armadillo now takes... 5 minutes tops on horseback, driving slowly. Imagine being that ride up to 15/20 minutes. Suddendly having a train between Macfarlane's Ranch and Armadillo makes sense. Hell, it would suddenly make sense why people are leaving Tumbleweed...

The only way this would work is if there is enough to do between the locations. New ponds, shacks, villages and hunting grounds should be added.

Clothing changes would actually make sense, since you would wear them longer than simply ten minutes.

Why would this be cool?

1. A much larger map (4x the size by a 2x scale and 9x by 3x scale)

2. More gameplay options (much more terrain between current locations. So much more can be added.

3. Wilderness would actually be in the middle of nowhere, which would make the addition of Trappers useful again.

4. The map can potentionally house much more players

5. Certain regions could be located where players can have their own ranch, without intervering too much with the rest of the map.

6. Regions would be much larger and players could play for hours in just one region and complete missions there. If you like the bayou area, you would get much more gameplay out if it, instead of riding through it in 2 minutes...

7. Regions would really feel like their own location. A trip from the ranch in Big Valley to Valentine in New Hanover would take you much longer, making it an entirely different experience.

8. Day and night cycle could be doubled or trippled. Finally one can enjoy the beauty of the sunset.

Gimme those feedbacks and I'll eventually make a few very cool catalogue pages about this.

GUNLOCKER, FFS?

GTA has it. Sick of scrolling through my sh*tty weapons to get to the good stuff.

Fix the high-camera setting. It does NOT work and has not from day one.

Fairer payouts for stranger events. Still sh*t money and I'm not dragging some asshole clear across the map for $7 and 80XP.

Maybe they can populate some empty towns with a sort of faction related population, with which our characters can reach a friendship with, unlocking the use of a butcher, stores and a sanctuary spawn place where players can't do damage to eachother or their horses. Maybe even benefitting from a higher price paid for hunted spoils or anything like a small percentage gain on mission pay for that specific town's missions.

Reputation can be gained by doing PvE missions for them, either story related or/and daily missions.

Everyone starts out neutral to the town, meaning: can visit, not use facilities, no spawn point and other benefits. 1 or 2 startup missions will be available, with a chance to complete them with or without honour. So, also a chance to get hostile with the population, resulting in being shot at when coming near the town, or encountering a town inhabitant on the road.

Befriending other nearby towns to assist you to raid a hostile town in a PvE instanced raid or, if the player do so wishes, a PvP instanced raid.

Or, befriending all towns and "control" an area of the whole map eventually.

I'd still love to see some user-settable traps (bear, pit, etc.) that would have some limits on where they can be set (none within a certain distance around a butcher or shops).

I would absolutely love some more supernatural elements. The Sasquatch yelps and growls in the north could lead to a sighting, tracks, maybe even caves like in story mode. I don't need to shoot the thing, but it'd be cool if I was able to experience its work, if you know what I mean. Same with UFO sightings. Once in a rare while to see one take off from a distant grove of trees would be cool. Again, clues left behind would be enough to keep it interesting.

Also, the other day, my horse kicked over a grave marker. If a ghost followed me around and messed with things for at least a little while, it'd be amazing. Fouling my weapons, stealing my food, putting out my fire, possessing Cripps ‚Äď would ratchet up the fun for solo players like myself. Imagine walking into one of the many rooms in the taverns and other places and seeing a ghost pass through a wall, leaving behind a map to its grave, etc.

And imagine snooping around Wapiti and getting chased by a Wendigo that you could wound/slow down but never kill. And if it got its hands on you, you were ripped to shreds. Bring it, R*!

Good Boi update

introduces doggos for purchase and use, with several classes that have different uses. They can be called by quickly double-tapping the whistle button, and dismissed the same way as the horses. Have special pupper revivers if they get critically injured, and they can be fed raw meat to refill their health cores. The bonding would work like it does with horses. You spend time with them feeding them, petting them, and playing catch [using the same mechanic as used with Chop in GTA 5: a thrown item in the weapon wheel that they retrieve], and it boosts their bonding. The higher it is, the more they’ll listen to commands and try to defend you if you’re attacked. Have commands again work like they do in GTA 5, where you can make them do simple things like speak and shake and sit & stay. They also can be named, just like horses.

The different classes would be

retrievers:

Labrador

Golden Retriever

Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Poodle

Irish Setter

retrievers specialise in retrieving shot game, bringing it straight to you so you don’t have to chase it down. They’ll even retrieve game that has fallen into water and would otherwise be lost.

trackers/hounds:

Catahoula Cur

Bluetick Coonhound

American Foxhound

Bloodhound

Beagle

Bull Terrier

Cocker Spaniel

Greyhound

trackers/hounds specialise in finding smaller game such as birds and hares, pointing them out, flushing them out, and at higher bonding even kill and bring them to you. Though this can sometimes ruin the quality of the animal, so you have to tell the dog not to kill.

Guard dog

American Bulldog

Bullmastiff

Rottweiler

Dobermann

Irish Wolfhound

Boxer

Pitbull

guard dogs have higher health, and specialise in defending you. They will immediately jump to your defence from any attacker, be it NPC, animal, or player. They can even be commanded to attack NPCs and players. They can work as a good distraction.

generalist:

mutt

Husky

German Shepherd

Border Collie

Aussie Shepherd

Rhodesian Ridgeback

Kelpie

Dalmatian

Wolfdog

Generalist dogs specialise in nothing but can do a bit of everything. They can retrieve some, but only when they’re already close. They can track some, but only when already close. They can defend you some, but they have lower health and tend to get scared by gunfire and grizzlies.

I'm a bit conflicted about these ideas, although I have no desire to see rdo get as over the top as gtao these are ideas that would fit within the world created.  Now I'm just waiting for 2-3 years from now when you can summon an ufo to abduct a rival player or set a wendigo loose in a town.

RDR 1 really nailed ambient music for every location in the game. It's a thing of beauty.

Yeah, it'd be more scenery and spooky side missions than anything that would shift the gameplay too drastically. R* is teasing us with the easter eggs as it is: yeti skeleton, cult chapel, mysterious animal cries, Shan mountain totem, etc. Just a little follow-up random stuff would be fun. It could maybe go as far as your finally managing to take a photo and bring it to a newspaper for gold, but the last thing I'd want to see is pulling up to the butcher with a yeti pelt or grey strapped to your horse, lo.

Trite, but I want to build my house, buy boards, roofing, furniture, build a barn, pigsty, barn. Plant livestock, sell livestock or milk butter. graze cattle, shoot wolves if they attacked my cattle. Have the opportunity to take and sell everything. Of course, to be able to buy carts, or may even have a wife NPS or player girl :)

The ability to make primitive clothing from the skins and leather

That dog suggestion is the best thing I've heard! I would LOVE that!

Of course owning property is high on the list as well. But I want a couple of small things.

1. Be able to kill wounded prey without destroying them. It works in story, why not online?!

2. Rob people.

3. Own a cart to haul hides and animals in!

4. I really, really want a civil war cap like the lemoyne raiders have ūüėĚ

5. Be able to release horses from carrieges and carts. Again, this is already in the BASE GAME! Why remove it?!

Doesnt have to be a bear, id be happy with a snake in a drawer or something minor like that.

Willing to bet the phisics of the reins would be a bit too much for online. Would look worst in online with the reins suddenly dissapearing when released.
