Hi,

 

I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition (PS4) from Rockstar Warehouse when first available and received an e-mail this Saturday (October 20th) notifying me that it was shipped. The e-mail contained a tracking number for UPS, however the tracking number is not valid and only results in an error. 

 

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Should I be worried or am I just panicking because I'm so excited about the game? 

 

On a side note, the shipment is apparently Global Express, so if it really has shipped already, I should have the game in my hands before the official release date!

You're probably just panicking. Since Rockstar are being tight on places getting it delivered early, it's possible they've passed it to UPS to ship but with strict instructions not to actually ship until a certain date where you'll receive it on release day. The shipping number probably is pre-allocated but not activated until its physically in transit and scanned at a depot.

Tracking numbers can take a little while to update. Give it a few hours or so.

Hmm. Well, in the UK online retailers are under instructions not to dispatch the game till Thursday. So it could still be a case of what Kirsty said, that your copy was handed over the courier but they're still waiting to send it out for delivery.

 

If in doubt, contact the store you bought from or the courier service.

Those two issues are probably related - with preorder stuff with a strict street date like this, either R* created the label early but hasnt shipped it yet because they don't want it to arrive before street date, or UPS is holding it for the same reason.
Apple does this with iPhone releases. They ship it early but it doesn't get delivered until street date.

So in theory i should get it on October 26th even if i am located in Europe, Lithuania. This is my first time pre ordering from Rockstar Warehouse. I cant send support email to UPS without valid tracking number because they wont  accept the one i got. Rockstar support also isnt responding. Well i guess i will find out on release date and hope that you guys are right about this :)

I haven't gotten an e-mail from Rockstar yet about my order. I was recently charged for it according to my bank statement, but I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation e-mail.

A similar thing is happening with me, we're only two days from release and I've received absolutely nothing about shipping. Rockstar Warehouse literally just says "Order in process" and has said that since last night.

Check your Spam. That's where my email was.

I just received email that my order has shipped and the tracking number is now working all is resolved for me :) Just hope it comes on time.

Same here, they gave us all a tracking number lacking 3 digits, and updated today.

Mine isn’t even shipped yet, they only created a shipping note...Even tho the mail says it was shipped.

 

But if it is sent today, I will get it tommorrow.

 

Here is hoping they get their fingers out and send it..

I received a new shipping confirmation email with new tracking number. Now it looks like my package still hasn't shipped yet. "The label created United Kingdom" at 9:27 AM yesterday. This better be express f*cking courier if they are going to get it to me tommorow, because I live in Poland.

 

@edit oh it is express courier actually. UPS Express critical. Lol. Okay so there's a chance.

8 hours ago I recived an email from Rockstar Games that said my order has been shipped and i got a new tracking number that works, now when I use the code on the UPS app it says that "Order processed: Ready for UPS" and that it is being shipped from Rugby Warks, Great Britain.

At the moment there is no delivery time but it says: When the shipment arrives at our facility the delivery date will be updated.

 

Btw I live in Germany, does anyone else have the same situation as me ??

Same!

 

mine says UPS saver express, which is weird when the guy in Poland has critical express, sine I could not choose differently, what with free shipping and all. 

 

But I called UPS, and they said, as long as it is shipped today, it will 100% be at our address tomorrow.

Also I get an email with a tracking for the strategy guide and it says it will arrive in 5-7 days....hoping the game will arrive tomorrow

On the order history page my order changed from order unsubmitted to order complete yesterday.

 

I got my tracking number but it's still not working on the website so I'm starting to worry now too.

Hell, I don't even have a tracking number.  Or a shipment notification, or anything.  Getting very antsy... I don't know where they ship from, but I was hoping to see this thing tomorrow morning.

Yeah, nothing. That's where their email from last Wednesday went, which said I'd get another email with the tracking number "1-2 days" before the release. Well we're now at less than 1 day, still nada.  I just emailed them through their site, hopefully they will reply - though I imagine they are inundated with that kind of thing right now.

 

Ugh, starting to really regret pre-ordering.  I don't pre-order most games, just pick them up on day of release at a local store; only did it with this one because I kind of wanted the special edition.  I'd much rather have gotten a regular copy if the pre-order one is going to arrive late.

Nice one cockstar. My tracking code info on UPS site has updated, and apparently its going to arrive on Monday... And I pre-ordered it 5 weeks ago, its not like ordered it this week. So first they made a mistake and didn't include full tracking code in the email (the new one is the same code, the old one had few last digits missing...) and now its delayed. What a mess. Never buying anything from Rockstar Warehouse again.

Mine says that it is in Transit and that with be delivered tomorrow "by end of the day" 

 

I still am worried that it can come late.

I finally got a shipping notice just now. Scheduled for tomorrow and estimated to be here by 10:30 AM - I can live with that!
