Snow for Christmas

Much like how GTAO always has snow during Christmas, I really hope they have something similar for RDRO. I know there will always be snow in the game in certain areas like the mountains, but it would be sweet to have the entire map covered. Especially with the amazing snow physics they have now! Anyone else hoping for a white Christmas?

I wouldn't mind tbh, i think it would look kind of beautiful if they have that feature. Like the entire map would be snowy and they could change a lot of things to accommodate and compliment the snowy atmosphere.

Will be a bit impossible to have snow in the desert regions though. And there's animals too.

While i like that, i also prefer it more often than a 2 week period for the entire year. Honestly i really want to see all 4 seasons dipicted thruout the year . In winter months - dead looking trees with no leaves, dry up brown crunchy leaves covering the ground in the woods. In spring time, things growing up and out again.You see the world/enviornment coming back to life. In summer everything is grown up , its hot and dry with some severe thunderstorms . In fall , the leaves change colors, it cools off , and everything is preparing for winter . 

 

Talk about emmersive. I really wish they could do this . Basically would need 4 "settings" for the enviornemtal parts of the world. They just rotate in order. It could be done, but i dont see it, although it would be ultra awesome!

yes but if you played gta online when it had snow. you would remember that the snow covered the whole map. including the grand senora desert. so they could do it.

 

 

and back on topic yes it would be cool. i wonder what the bayou would look like.

I think Christmas trees would make sense. Snow is questionable because there are snowy areas in the map already.

It's not an impossibility to create something like that, Forza Horizon 4 is seasonally based. 7 days for each season.

Yeah im sure its possible. in the fact it could be coded in. Im just not sure its something that they would go into ,seeing the game is basically 100 gb already. Altough it would seem like it could be programmed to switch the code for the enviornement every X amount of days or something. I just am not sure with all the other detail they put it, thats one thing they would attempt to tackle , but man would it be awesome if they did.

It would be awesome to see all of Valentine or Saint Denis decked out in Christmas decorations all over the main streets!!!  And with the emphasis on wildlife, they could even throw some reindeer in the wild for Christmas time.

I actually like your idea, although I think it would be better if Red Dead Online would switch seasons every week. In total we would see every season 13x a year.

 

They could make it so that every 51st week (xmas) would have decorations alongside it. 

 

This would make online playthroughs a lot different everytime, since the landscape would be wildly different.
