In-game money: What will you do with it?

I know money will be a big part of the game, but I was wondering besides weapons, outfits, horses, and basic stuff like ammunition and food. How else can we spend it, what do you think the big purchases will be?

Gamble it and become a millionaire in the first 4 hours and make the whole story struggle irrelevant. 😂

Obviously a lot will depend on what kind of direction the story sets up for Arthur but I'm kind of hoping to build him as a character that's a big part of the gang, but also very much his own man too with potentially a small fortune kept back just for himself.

I hope Liars Dice made it in as I became addicted to it. Maybe paying off bounties as I doubt we will get a pardon letter.

Will we have to rent or buy accomodation like in the previous game? I hope there is some way to continue spending, other than gambling or bounties, after the story is finished. I currently have over $111,000 on RDR, and nothing to spend it on. Even being able to give a sizable donation to Las Hermanas would be better than nothing.

What i would do? Probably invest in upgrades mainly. Never really bought cosmetic stuff too much before so might give that a try for once.

I would probably buy weapons first lol tbh.

Definitely will spend a considerate amount of money to make Arthur's hair and beard look slick asf! 😎

That's what I'm hoping too! I might be over hyping, but I hope we can buy houses and upgrade them over time.

I intend to live a simple existence- hunting and fishing for food and as long as I got a few dollars for a drink or two in the saloon at the end of each day that’s good enough for me 😁

They said you can put it in the kitty at the gang hideout.  So i'll probably do so.

If there is money glitch for RDR 2 and Online

I'd rather spend something for upgrade and buy bunch of horse or weapons with the money glitch

I have read/heard somewhere you can upgrade your tent. And also upgrade Dutch's tent which will give you the ability to fast travel or something like that. So my guess is that there are lot of possibility's to put money in the camp/gang. And I hope we can buy properties in the world other then just our tent but we will see.

I like that they have little ways to nickel-and-dime you, keep you spending money in the SP campaign even after you've upgraded everything to max. Needing to keep Arthur fed, having to maintain your guns, ect.

Gamble it away, win some then lose all my winnings and then drink my red dead sorrows away with a glass of whisky in game.

What kills me is some folks crying about the extra money they'll get for special and ultimate editions. You dont HAVE to spend it immediately. But later Im sure you'll want to spend it on housing and having a decent stable of backup horses. Saying they'll blow it fast to avoid an "advantage" is just silly talk. Youre literally giving away REAL money you spent for that bonus cash.

That's not why I or some others bought the special edition.  I bought it for the horse and extra bank mission.

That's probably about the amount of money I spent on pomade irl.

Makes me want to invest in hookers.

Would be nice, but I think we won't be able to buy houses as this would make all the outlaws-on-the-run thingie obsolete.

This would be a massive contradiction.

Maybe this would be a thing for online, though.

Yeah, I'm planning on a different approach than the GTA rags to riches ways I enjoy. (Game permitting). To play this out as a cheap/poor/shabby bloke would be cool. Bit of loose cash on the hip for a flutter or the odd treat. I'll loot all I can too.

But like RDR last and GTA's before, given time I'll have multiple saves in the end. So I'll have a clean chap, bandit, good guy, and a rancher if I can. Little hut in the woods to hunt and fish, that'd be worth earning a few bucks for though. And bounty hunting a plenty.

Ideally for me, I want this to compliment GTA:O too as I really do enjoy both games. Though I wouldn't want much in each title to over push the other like the revolver/hatchet because many love one or the other, and many disliked GTA to not wish to return for more RDR2. Otherwise, a western and a modern freeroam world. I'm set. :)
